Silmarillion Prompt #7: The Ultimate Friendzone

Fëanor was trying to figure out a way to entrap the Light of the Trees in order to preserve it for all eternity. As he pondered, a saying crept into his thoughts -- a saying that had been said concerning Galadriel by the Elves of Valinor for a while now: "The Two Trees, Laurelin and Telperion, had been snared in her tresses."

An idea strikes him: Why find a way or forge an object to trap the Light of the Trees, when you can seek to obtain something that already contains the very essence of the Light of the Trees, to begin with?

With that settled, Fëanor walked over to the House of Finfarin, his brother, to visit Galadriel, his niece. When he meets with her, he decides to request a tress of her hair. Galadriel, seeing the greedy obsession in his eyes, refuses. He begs her twice more, but she wouldn't bequeath one single hair to him.

What happens next?
