Bilbo Baggins/Reader

Takes place when the Dwarfs are at Bilbo's house before the adventure.

You walked over to your best friend and crushes house. But when you arrived you were quite shocked to find 12 dwarfs rushing around carrying food and plates.

"Bilbo! What in the name of Eru is going on!?"
You screamed over the noise.

"Y/N do not ask me for I do not know! Ask this meddling wizard as it seems this was his plan."
Bilbo said sighing.

*time skip by food, drinks, Thorin, deep dwarven singing and sleep*

You woke up in the morning to find the house empty and a note on the mantelpiece.

'Dear Y/N this quest, as you probably heard, is dangerous so I have left without you as I do not wish to see you hurt or killed. I do hope you will understand,
Bilbo xx'

You grabbed your jacket and some supplied you had packed the night before, and ran down the road.

It wasn't long before you caught up and saw the band of 13 dwarfs a Hobbit and a Wizard riding along the road.

"Wait! WAIT!"
You screamed out of breath from the running.

"I wish to help you reclaim your home, if you would let me."
You asked, bowing to Thorin. 

"Balin hand her a contract."
Thorin said in his deep voice.

You signed the contract and got placed onto a pony next to Bilbo.

"Why did you come when I told you not to Y/N?"

"Why did you tell me not to Bilbo, I can look after myself and you know I wasn't going to leave you?!"

Bilbo sighed and turned towards you.
"I didn't want you to come because I couldn't stand the though of you getting hurt because I care about you Y/N, as more than a friend."

"Why did you think I would come after you no matter what, you daft Hobbit? For the same reasons Bilbo."

"The road goes ever on and on, Down from door where it began."
Bilbo began to sing.

"Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,"
You sang back.

"Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And wither then! I cannot say."
You both sang and looked at each other.

Maybe this journey will turn out okay, and if it doesn't you'll have Bilbo with you every step of the way.

The road goes ever on and on...
