Imagine that you are preparing for a dance (The Feast of Starlight) and you want to impress your suitor so Thranduil helps you but he's in love with you and you fall in love with him. Okay I'm gonna stop rambling.

You knocked nervously on your closest friend, and kings door quietly. You straightened your back and smoothed your dress as the door swiftly opened revealing a smiling Thranduil.

"Y/N. come in! What can i help you with?"

"I um... I need your help." You whispered quietly as you fumbled with the hem of your dress. You felt two cold fingers lift your head up as you widened your eyes in surprise.

"Does it have something to do with the Feast of Starlight and your so called suitor?"

"I don't know how to dance. I need your help." You quickly stuttered "I know it's last minute, but I don't want to look like a fool-"

"Y/N. i would love to help you." He laughed quietly. "Shall we begin love?" He asked as you nodded quickly
His hand quickly went around your waist as your breathing hitched. His other hand lifted yours gracefully and untwined together like a perfect fit.

"Shall we?" He whispered as the music began.

As the music came to a close, you both were stuck in a trance totally forgetting about everyone and everything.

"I have to go. Thank you again Thranduil." You spoke, as you still couldn't snap out of it. Quickly, you stood on your tiptoes and pecked his cheek before fleeing the room with a starstruck Thranduil.

The hours ticked by and finally it was time for the grand feast

You looked and searched for your suitor, and when you finally did find him, your heart broke at the sight of him dancing with another girl. All your hard work was for nothing.

"Y/N?" Thranduil asked quietly as you wiped some tears.

"He cheated on me." You whispered as he wiped your face with his thumb.

"He's worth none of your tears my dear. He clearly didn't see what he had in front of him."

You gave a watery grin. "Thank you."

"I know this is very forward, but since the day I met you, I've been in love with you. "

"Why didn't you tell me?" You grinned as you hugged him tightly. "We could've been together sooner!"

He blinked in astonishment "but-"

"I had feelings for you but I figured I would have to move on since you were a king-"

He whooped uncharacteristically and spun you around. "I've never been happier my love."

You held out your arm with a grin as the music started again "shall we?"

It was definitely a night to never forget.

Alright time for the authors note. I'm sorry I haven't been writing. I've been busy with work and school but I honestly have no motivation to write right now. Despite how much I want to, i just don't have my creative juices flowing like i used to. Hopefully it will come back soon. And happy belated Saint Patrick's day. XOXO
