FYI, the story is gonna be a bit different but anyways, Thorin deserves love, and I absolutely love him.

You had known Thorin since you were a young girl. Even when he was a young one, he was determined to prove that he was a gentleman. When you finally got to the age of courting, Thorin couldn't get the courage to ask you. Then, the dragon came and he believed that you were dead within the dragon fire. After the battle, he mourned for sometime. He refused to take a wife, for he was convinced that you were his One.

The company was now at Beorn's house, and they were exhausted from the chase.  It was few hours later that Beorn shapeshifter, and gave the Dwarves what they needed.

It was now dusk, and the company was deep inside the Mirkwood Forest.

"Stay on the path everyone. We don't want to stray." Thorin said while leading the group.

"You've strayed on dangerous borders dwarf." Legolas suddenly spoke, while pointing a bow and arrow at him. "Search them!" He called to the elves.

The dwarves grumbled and cursed as they were thrown in the dungeon. It didn't take long for the king to request Thorins presence, but he would soon learn it was a waste of his time.

"What are you thinking of?" Dwalin asked when Thorin returned "are you thinking of her?"

"Aye." He nodded. "I miss her dearly, I wish she was here."

"You don't wish I was here?" Bilbo said suddenly, while holding the keys to freedom.

The dwarves shouted with glee as they were released.

"Speaking of her." Bilbo said to Thorin. "I've heard rumors she's alive."

"What? How is this possible?"

"I heard the guards come back on a hunt for orcs. They found female footprints in the forest."

Thorin didn't dare to show the hope that he had. He had to be realistic, and focus on escaping.

The escape from Mirkwood was anything but easy. Orca swarmed the area, and Kili became injured with a morgul arrow, and after that, the dwarves couldn't catch a break with Bard the Bowman.

"We are looking for someone." Thorin said quickly "Her name is  Y/N. And she has (facial features)"

"Ah yes, I've seen someone like that before." Bard said quietly. "She's headed for the mountain, with a pack of orcs behind her. "

The dwarves gasped in shock. They knew how important you were to Thorin. They were all surprised that you were even alive.

"Come, we will get you food and weapons, there isn't much time." Bard said as he led them into Laketown. However, Kili was getting worse and would have to stay.

"I have to go with you!" Kili shouted. "Uncle I know how much this means to you- I want to be there-"

"No." Thorin said firmly  "rest and join us later."

The remaining dwarves headed up the mountain. A frown spread across your face as you noticed a group of dwarves and a hobbit climbed towards you. After being on the run for so long, you didn't trust anyone. Your eyes fixated on the hobbit, and you recognized it to be Bilbo.

"Bilbo!!" You yelled from the top. The hobbit frantically searched all around, but couldn't see you.

"Who's voice is that?" Bofur asked

"It's hers." Thorin gasped, and began to run up the mountain with Bilbo along side.

When Bilbo saw you, his smile reappeared and he quickly gave you a hug. "Why are you here? How did you-"

"It's a long story." You grinned "How's the hobbit hole? And the Shire?"

"It's plenty well, but you must come visit-"

"Y/N." Thorin said quietly. You instantly turned around and saw a man. Your face searched for recognition, and you found it in his eyes.

"Thorin?" You whispered "how are you-"

You couldn't finish your sentence due to the fact that Thorin held you in a bone crushing hug.

"I thought you were dead?" He said, on the brink of tears.

"I've been on the run. You aren't the only ones who have to face Azog."

"Why didn't you find us?" Kili asked

"I didn't know where to look. For the first few weeks, I was on the run from orcs. Then I found my way to Rivendell, and stayed for a few more weeks. I've been road hopping ever since. I tried to find you, but you were already on your Quest, so I thought might as well follow-"

"You've been here with us this whole time?" Thorin asked in a whisper

"Most of the time." You said "I developed powers and had to get training from wizards."

The company stared in awe, and they all enveloped you in a hug.

"So your the girl then?" Fili asked

"What girl?" You asked

"Only she has captured my heart,
And I will only love her
She radiates like the sun, 
And her prince loves whole heartedly
One the day is right, I shall marry my One." Kili responded with a smirk.

"You wrote that poem for me?" You asked with a smile.

Thorin glared at his nephews before turning back to you.  "When we turned of courting age, I was going to read this poem and ask to court you."

The company awed at Thorin. They never thought that their King would be so romantic.

"Well you can still ask now....." you trailed with a grin. "I've waited for eternity to be with you Thorin Oakenshield, and I don't plan on missing out again."

Thorin chuckled before getting down on one knee  "Y/N, will you give me the honor to court you?"

You squealed in delight, and the company had never seen Thorin smile so much.

The rest of the journey wasn't easy, but everyone came out alive after the battle, and the two of you got married a few months later.

A year and a half breezed by, and you and Thorin welcomed a baby daughter to the world.

"What shall we call her?" You asked

"Hope." Thorin said softly "Her name is Hope."

"Just how you hoped that I would return?" You said softly,

"Yes darling." Thorin smiled lovingly at you "I had hope I would find you, in this life or the next."

There was always hope.
