It was Valentines Day, and it was the day of the Valentine party at Bilbo baggin's House (he's very rich ya know). Everyone in the shire was looking forward to it, everyone who was single tried to pair up with their crush except you. It's not like you weren't up for the date, it's just you were very shy and had interest in a particular hobbit named Pippin.
You two were best friends, and you did everything together. Frodo and Merry both referred you two as double the trouble because of all the mischief you got into.

Lately you had been wanting something more. Sure, bring friends with Pippin was great, but you had been wanting to take it to the next level, however you didn't necessarily knew how he felt towards you.

So here you were, sitting in your room eating your hearts content to the shires best ice cream.

"Who needs a man when you have ice cream? I don't need him... he probably doesn't even like me-" tears welled in your eyes as your mother knocked on the door. Quickly, you hid the ice cream and wiped your eyes. "Come in!"

"You have a note dear." She smiled as you opened it to reveal handwriting

" what are you doing in bed still! You have to get ready for the party!" Your mother screeched as she pushed you to the bathroom."You only have an hour! Hurry!"

Finally you were on your way with your hair perfectly curled and braided and dressed in a beautiful Lacey pink dress.

"Have fun!" Your mother grinned as she shoved you out the door."Don't  do anything I wouldn't do!"

Minutes passed as you waited for your secret admirer.

"Y/N?" A familiar voice asked as you whirled around.

"Pippin!" You squeaked "are you...."

"Your secret admirer? Absolutely!"

You stood there in absolute shock. "I didn't think you felt the same way...."

"Of course I did.... I just couldn't find the right amount of courage to tell you." He mumbled

"Well I'm glad you did... I thought I was gonna be the only girl not at this party." You laughed

"I wouldn't let that happen." He spoke gently as he placed a crown of roses on your head "Shall we dance my lady?"

And so you spent the night, dancing, eating and talking until it was almost midnight.

"I have one more surprise." He whispered as he kissed your cheek. "Look at the sky-"

At that moment, the fireworks exploded revealing a happy Valentine's Day in pink and gold.

"It's beautiful." You smiled in awe.

"Just like you. " he grinned. "I just have one more question."

"And what's that?" You grinned.

"Will you go out with me?"

"OF COURSE I WILL!" You shouted as Pippin beamed. Just as he was about to hug you-

"Fool of a took! Just kiss her already!" Gandalf yelled as Frodo and Merry cheered and wolf whistled.

You grabbed Pippins collar and shared a passionate kiss just as the fireworks sprouted up again.

"YEAHHHHHH!" Merry yelled as he rose a pint. "GO PIPPIN!"

"Happy Valentines Day Y/N."
