Imagine it's your birthday and Elrond confesses his feelings for you

You woke up to someone shaking you softly. Sleepily, your eyes fluttered open to reveal the Lord of Rivendell, Elrond. He smile down lovingly as he moved a strand of hair behind your ear. He had deep feelings for you, but he believed that he shouldn't act on these feelings, for you were a few years younger and deserved someone better. Until now, he couldn't hold it any longer, he was madly in love, and desperately wanted to know.

"Good morning my lady." He whispered

"Good morning my lord." You stretched and spoke in a teasing voice.

"Happy birthday! " he smiled as he allowed you to sit up. "Your a year older."

You laughed "don't remind me. "

"So..." He spoke nervously "I was wondering if you would like to join me for a walk in the garden and then we can eat breakfast?"

"I would be absolutely honored." You spoke in your most proper voice as he kissed your hand. You felt your cheeks flaming up instantly as you shyly smiled at your sheets.

"I'll wait outside for you." He smiled as he left the bedroom. Once he left you let out a sigh of relief. Your heart was pounding as you nervously raked through your closet.

Meanwhile while you were getting ready, Elrond paced nervously. He was so nervous and anxious to give her her present that he couldn't be calm.

"Mellon! Calm down!" Lindir smiled as he pulled out a piece of chocolate. "Eat, you'll feel better. Chocolate always makes everything better."

"No wonder your so calm all the time." Elrond muttered

"Just breathe Elrond! She will love you I know it!"

"How do you know?? What if she says no??? There could be so many things to go wrong."

"Well-" Lindir tried to begin. He was the only one who knew about your crush on the lord of Rivendell. He was your best friend and you told him everything, that and share chocolate of course.

Before he could finish, you stepped out in your dress causing Elronds jaw to go slack.

"You look beautiful my lady."

"Thank you my lord." You smiled as you took his arm. "Shall we?"

"Indeed my lo- lady. " he quickly fixed himself as you giggled.

Your walk was a pleasant one. You talked about your likes and dislikes etc.  finally you came to a table where Legolas stood being the waiter.

"Your breakfast awaits. " He spoke sophisticatedly as he pulled out chairs and pulled out trays of food. "Enjoy." And with that he left with sweeping grace that only an elf could possess.

"Love me some food." You muttered as you tried desperately not to stuff your face with breakfast delights.

Not too far away from the scene Lindir sat in a tree watching the whole thing. He decided that this romance needed to speed up. So he took a chocolate acorn and chucked it at Elronds head.

"Ow!" Elrond spoke as he picked the chocolate off the table and his face reddened significantly "want one?"

You laughed and ate the chocolate as Elrond looked in the trees to find Lindir grinning and giving two thumbs up.

"Something the matter Elrond?" You asked as he smiled reassuringly

"No. But I do have something to ask you though." He spoke as he got on one knee.

"Are you proposing???" You asked shocked, your face flustering.

"proPOsing yOU gO ouT WiTH hiM! Lindir coughed from the tree as he continued to silently cheer them on.

"We've known each other for years, and we've created a beautiful friendship. Is it possible, that our friendship could turn into something more?"

Tears welled in your eyes as you hugged him tightly.

"Yes."

He pulled back shocked "What?"

"Yes, it is possible." You spoke more tears dripping "because I love you."

He hugged her tighter than before and kissed her softly "Happy birthday."

"Well it's about time!" Lindir cheered as he handed you a chocolate "I was beginning to think that he would- "

"Lindir I suggest you run." Elrond spoke with a glare while wrapping an arm around your waist.

"Well look at the time! It's time for me to leave. Remember- use protection-"

"LINDIR!!"

"And chocolate makes everything better!" He spoke while running.

It was the best birthday ever
