A girl from another realm FINAL CHAPTER
Many years later
Two children laughed as they got settled into bed, both had similar features to you and your beloved.
"Mother can you tell us the story, the one of you and Father?"
"I suppose." You remarked with a smile.
The boy climbed into bed, with you in the middle and your eldest daughter on the other side. you began your long tale. You had finally reached the part when you told the children of how Bilbo saved your life.
"Uncle Bilbo was pretty great wasn't he." Your daughter remarked. "Wasn't he the ring bearer for your wedding?"
You chuckled while thinking of the realm that seemed so far away, and the many books that reminded you of Middle Earth. "Yes he was, but more importantly, if he didn't save me, I wouldn't have married your father, and if didn't marry your father, you wouldn't have been born."
"So what happened then?" Your youngest child asked. "Did the elves and the dwarves get along?"
"They did. Thranduil apologized to Thorin, and Thorin gave the gems of starlight back to its rightful owner."
"I'm glad we don't have to live in a time of war." Your daughter remarked.
"It really would be awful, but aren't you supposed to be in bed? We do have an early journey tomorrow." Your husband remarked.
"Where are we going?" The children asked, you had kept it a surprise for so long, but now it was time for them to know.
"Aunt Faye has given us many eagles to fly us to the Shire to see Uncle Bilbo, the Dwarves, and the elves in Rivendell." Your husband remarked.
"We're going to Rivendell?" Asked your eldest daughter with a dreamy look. "I heard it's beautiful!"
"Yes. And it will be great to see everyone again."
The next morning, all of you greeted Faye and flew to Rivendell. Elrond greeted you fondly, for you were his sisters daughter. A smile brightened his features as he saw your sleeping son. Your eldest daughter, (almost at courting age), was filled with excitement.
A servant came and took your son to the chambers where he would sleep through the night. Cheers erupted from the dwarves, and many hugs were given. Thorin greeted you fondly, and you introduced your daughter to her many uncles.
"Remember the last time we were here?" Bofur said. "It was indeed quite joyful. "
The dwarves then asked for you to sing a song, in which you happily agreed. (See media section)
From the corner of your eye, you and Elrond saw your daughter dancing with Lindir. Shock filled your features as you turned to one another.
"She isn't allowed to court anyone! She's too young!" You protested.
"Let her be, it is indeed her other half. We wouldn't want the same thing to happen to you now would we?"
You rolled your eyes and nodded. "I suppose he will do."
"When do you want to plan the wedding?" Elrond grinned? "I forsee it to be a summer wedding, it could be very lovely you know-"
"No daughter of mine is getting married until she's 18, she can wait a month." You grumbled. At half past 10, you ushered your daughter to her room. Her eyes twinkled with love as she talked about her beloved.
"Are you alright mother?" She asked gently.
You studied her features, within a blink of an eye, she had blossomed into a beautiful woman. However, she would always be your little girl.
"Yes love. I'm quite happy with your match. Now, gets some sleep. You have all the time in the world."
When you turned around, you saw your husband waiting for you with a smile.
"I heard our little girl is growing up?" He said. "I can't believe she's going to be married soon."
"How did you-"
"Elrond told me." He added. "Come, let's not dwell on the future. Let's remember the time when we were young, and free.
The two of you joined the dwarves just in time for the announcement from Thorin.
"I am stepping down as King, and giving the role to (Fili/Kili, if your married to one it's the other.) I have ruled many years, and Erebor has never been in a better place. I wish to spend the last few years without a care in the world."
The dwarves cheered, and more music played. Your husband was talking with Lord Elrond, and he noticed you looking at the dwarves dancing. He nodded with a smile and you eagerly jumped in to the circle.
Who knew my life would be as great as this? You remarked. Surely it's a dream.
As you danced merrily with the dwarves, you remembered the first time you bonded during the journey. It was in Rivendell, and you had told them many things about yourself. Bofur then suggested a merry tune, in which turned into a night of dancing and laughter. That was the first moment that you felt you belonged with the company. To this day, you remain the best of friends. It's a bond that could never be broken, and the songs will be sung about your friendship to the end of the age.
It truly was an unexpected journey, one that will be remembered until the end of time.
The end.
So that is the end of the series! I hope you have enjoyed it! To the people who have been this far and have read it all, Thank you! I appreciate it. It wouldn't be the same without you.
