Just a quick update

I groaned but got up with Louis' help. I walked as fast as I could as I followed Louis out of the room and down the stairs. I grabbed my coat and car keys and grabbed my shoes and tried to get them on which turned out to be incredibly difficult.

Louis grabbed the keys from me and tossed them and handed me a pair of flip-flops. "Thanks." I said. Louis just nodded and took the keys from me and pulled me out he front door, not bothering to lock the house.

He walked me to the car and opened my door. He helped me get in before shutting the door and running around to the drivers side. Louis climbed in and started the car and backed out of the driveway and sped down the road. Louis was doing twice the speed limit and not bothering to stop at stop signs or red lights. "Louis slow down!" I yelled but he just ignore me.

We arrived at Liam's house a few minutes later, and thankfully in one piece. He shut the car off and got out as I took in the sight of the house up in flames. Firefighters were already there and and trying to put the fire out. I looked around for Liam but didn't see him anywhere. My heart started racing and panic started setting in as I thought Liam might still be in the house.

I got out and followed Louis as the firefighters continued to fight the growing blaze. Louis was arguing with one of the firefighters. I kept looking around for Liam as Louis screamed at the man. I stepped beside Louis and interrupted them. "Where's L-Liam?" I asked the man. "We need to get the blaze under control before we go in." The man said. "Bullshit!" Louis said. "Get in there and get our friend!" He screamed angrily causing the man to flinch. The man nodded and called another firefighter over and they both headed into the house.

Louis watched as the front doorframe collapsed. I covered my mouth in horror as the house started falling in on itself. I grabbed Louis' hand and started crying at the sight as every few seconds another part of the house would fall in. "Louis, what if they can't get him out? What if we lose him? What if..?" I asked Louis frantically but he turned to me. "It's going to be okay, they're going to get him out." Louis said sternly.

I nodded and took a few deep breaths as Louis wrapped his arm around my waist and I looked at the house as the last part standing fell in. I let out a small gasp then buried my face in Louis' neck. Louis just shook his head in disbelief. I cried into Louis' shoulder as he walked us towards the car. "We can't just leave." I said as Louis helped me into the car. "There's nothing we can do." Louis sighed. "I'll tell management in the morning what happened." He said tears welling up in his eyes.

I nodded and he shut the door and walked around to the other side and climbed in. He started up the car and headed down the road. I looked back at the fallen house as it burned. I couldn't believe they didn't get Liam. I beat my fist on the window and sobbed as we drove farther and farther away from the house.
