Deep forest, deep sleep
(Skylar's POV)
I run deeper into the forest. I look up and see the sun peeking through the green leaves that wave rapidly. Berries lay ripening under the leafy dome of the forest. The birds chirp overhead and the squirrels scamper along the bark of the trees. I was walking through an umber-brown, ancient forest. It reeked of age. Its woody incense was from centuries of snapping branches crashing to the forest's floor and rotting silently. The composting, organic smell rose up in waves like a miasma. Every sprawling tree I passed under reminded me of a watchful guardian, a silent sentinel of the groves. I decided to venture deeper into the tangled heart of this primeval forest.
The further I went, the more mystical and spellbinding it became. Huge roots spread-eagled the ground, twisting like the great backs of sea dinosaurs. The foliage became thick and lush, forming an arch of fairytale-green above my head. Arthritic boughs, gnarled with age, dripped their bounty of nuts onto the path. Briars, brambles and berry trees flanked the trail, making it impenetrable on either side. Shuffling noises came from deep in the interior, deadened by the cunningly woven web of leaves. A troupe of shambling badgers crossed the winding trail in front of me at one point. They were finishing up their early morning foraging and looked startled to see us.
I arrived at a wide glade, where the trees fell away, revealing the beautiful blue sky. An ore gold moon hung quietly in the distance, casting a honeyed sheen over the trees. I sat down with my back against a lightning blasted tree trunk and watched it fade away. As if on cue, an avian aria erupted from the knot of trees. The solitary songbird was soon joined by his beaked companions, creating a symphony of song. The heart haunting melody was an elixir for the soul. The sap sweet fragrance of the forest washed over me. I get up and walk deeper into the forest. I pass a group of racoon's eating something. I see a wooden house and I run to it.
The abandoned house shuddered on the hill, wishing the morning light would come all the sooner to warm its weary walls. It felt so alone, so empty. How long had it been since it heard the laughter of a precious child? How long had it been since it felt the coolness of fresh paint or contained the fragrance of Sunday dinner?
As the long yearned for golden rays caressed the timber, a stray lamb walked in from the fields, perhaps the door had swung open just for him. His soft snuffling and the sound of his prancing feet was the finest music the house had heard in so many years. After so long in dark silence the house creaked in happiness, the new sounds being as welcome as a lion's roar on the savannah. All of a sudden I hear footsteps coming from inside. I take my knife out and explore. I carefully set my foot on the rotting wood as it creaked. The footsteps stopped. I stood still like a statue until the footsteps were heard again. I quickly run inside and stop when the footsteps stop. The footsteps got louder.
"So why are you here alone?" I say creepily as I get my grip on my knife
"I could ask the same." The man said. His voice came out smoothly.
"Are you scared?" I ask.
"No." The man said. I walked around the corner and grab hold of him. My arm with the knife went around his neck.
"You should be." I laugh crazily.
"YOU'RE CRAZY!" He said while choking on his blood.
"I know I am." I said.
Blood squirt all over the wood giving it color. My favorite color. I laugh. I take his flashlight. The floor collapses bellow me. I fall into darkness. My body hits the floor hard black surrounds me.
(Two hours later)
My eyes flutter open. One single ray of light shines through the crack in the wall. I look around. I rub the dried up blood on my head and get up. I see stairs to the left of me but, I ignore it. There is a table were a mask lays. I walk over to it and pick it up. I blow off the dust and wipe the rest off. Its a Jason mask. That's what I need. 'Whoever lived here must've been a killer' I thought while I stare at the dried up blood. I rub it off. I take my mask off which is a bag with two holes. (Lol). I put the mask on. Perfect fit. I clean the knife off with my old mask and put the knife in my back pocket. I head to the creaky ass stairs when I heard one board was off. I bent down and fiddled with it until it came off revealing a whole stash of guns and ammo. Welp this is my new home! Cops bust in the place and I put the board on. I run to the crack and crawl out. One cop has outside duty. I walk up to him and slit his throat. I walk in the house and jump through the hole I made. I grab a machine gun and walk to the cops.
"Looking for me?" I ask. The stare wide-eyed and scream I shoot them all as blood splatters all over me. I laugh insanely and hide the bodies in the basement. If someone goes down there, they will he dead. I walk back up stairs and admire all the blood. One cop is still alive.
"P..p..please." He spits out.
"Sorry, I kinda have to." I say while graving hold of his neck. My knife slits his throat as blood squirts everywhere. The sound of him gurgling his blood makes me laugh. After I hid his body with the rest I find myself walking upstairs. I gasp as I see a dead corpse of a little girl hugging her teddy bear. I take the teddy and hug it. I push the corpse off the bed and fall asleep holding the teddy bear.
(Your POV)
I wake up to the sound of 'beep...beep...beep'. Delirious is sleeping beside me. Shit he's so cute. Vanoss lays on the other couch with Katrina laying on his chest. They're so cute together. Katrina wakes up and see's me she rushes over.
"Guys she's awake." She says. Everyone jerks up. Delirious runs over and kisses me.
"I missed you, I've been so worried." He said. I looked in his blue eyes. His eyes were red, probably from staying up.
"I missed you too." I said.
"Oh me gawd she's okey." Nogla says. I giggle a little. He hugs me and the whole crew gets up and starts to hug me.
"We were all worried." Marcel says.
"Yeah, especially me we haven't seen each other in a while either." Tyler says.
"Maybe we can all hang out tonight?" I say. Everyone agrees.
"Hey doc. Can I go?" I ask.
"Yes, here's medicine to reduce the pain." He handed over the medicine.
"Thank you." I say. Delirious helps me up and practically carries me to the car. He places me gently in the front seat and shuts the door.
"I'm so glad that maniac is in jail." Jon says closing his door.
"Yeah.. I guess." I say.
"You guess?" Jon says. I look at him.
"I mean she was my best friend and I guess I betrayed her..." I said.
"Yeah...me too." Jon says. He leans over and we kiss for like 5 minutes. He pulls away and says,
"Damn your so perfect." He looks in my eyes and kisses me again.
"And your so perfect." I say we kiss for the last time and I smile. Perfect love, that's what this is.
