WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER, JACE TAYLOR had wanted to visit the stars, feeling as if there was something missing in his life, his mother would tell him stories about the stars about the people that lived on some of the planets and the battles that occur. It would bring him some form of joy, but that joy was crushed the same day that his parents died in a car crash, one that Jace was involved in, Jace was the sole survivor of that crash. He was left alone with the stories about the stars which made him relive the trauma of that car crash, knowing that it shoved him right back into that memory. And yet, the one thing that Jace hadn't expected was when an alien spaceship collected him at the orphanage he was left in, it was a ship filled with Ravagers who offered him a place among them, for a reason that seemed rather pathetic to him now.

IT WAS WITH THE RAVAGERS THAT Jace met the only other person that he could trust, Peter Quill, who treated Jace like a younger brother. And yet, the Ravagers forced both Peter and Jace to fight against one another, fights that Jace normally won. The how was something that Jace didn't question, the only thing that he did ever question was the abilities that he developed. His ability to create and manipulate light, something similar to the sun. It used to be something that scared him, but over time he learned that it was something that he could love, it brought him closer to his mother in some weird way, despite knowing that it wouldn't make sense for his abilities to remind him of his mother.

HE SPENT NINETEEN YEARS WITH THE Ravagers, training in combat, mechanics, and theft. He managed to control his abilities with light, able to create little illusions with it and so much more. He was trained with weaponry varying from his quad blasters to archery and everything else. It was something that would occasionally get himself into trouble, though that was something that Jace liked more than anything, given that it meant that it got him the attention that he wanted more than anything. He ended up viewing Yondu as his father figure and saw Peter as the brother that he didn't know he needed.

OVER THE TIME THAT HE WAS with the Ravagers, Jace and Peter would either fight against each other at the request of Yondu, or they went on little missions with one another which lead to them almost being caught a handful of times because Jace would be laughing at something stupid Peter done. Jace had never thought that he'd get a sibling, given that he always thought that something was missing in his life, and Peter filled that role more than anything. Despite how much they annoyed one another whenever they were together, it was nice to have someone to lean on, who understood him in every way.

PETER HELPED JACE THROUGH A LOT of things, whether that was his stance with the Quad Blasters or fighting technique, even helping with his first heartbreak and the heartbreak that shattered his soul that it sent him into the massive depressive episode known to the universe. They were always by each other's side, no matter what. Despite the time that sometimes grew between the pair of them, whenever they were together, it was like no time had truly passed.

ON ONE FAITHFUL DAY AFTER PROTECTING himself from getting kidnapped, he gets a call from his father figure to re-land on the planet where he just murdered someone in order to find Peter, who went after the Orb. The Orb that they were all going to collect together given though had to wait given that Jace was originally getting his ship fixed. After agreeing to fetch Peter, he didn't realise what he was getting himself into, given that a former assassin being thrown into the mix didn't lead to the best outcome. It wasn't long till the Nova Corps had come and put Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, Peter and Jace into the Kyln.

IT WAS THERE THAT THEY MANAGED to escape with another one adding into the group. The one thing that none of them would ever expect was the way that they would oddly fit together as a group, traveling the galaxy, preventing crises across the galaxy. Even when some of the trouble seemed to target a member of their group, threatening the livelihood of the bonds that existed.

THE ONE THING THAT WORRIED THEM all was whether or not they would survive given all that life seemed to throw at them. They survived breaking out of the Kyln, they survived everything that would come afterwards, even if they weren't aware of what was about to come.

AN INFINITY STONE, A DEAMON ASSASSIN, a living planet bringing a half-sister to their doorstep, and the literal devil himself companied by a royally pissed off Emperor. This was going to be one hell of a ride.

(06/04/2024) okay, so, i'm so sorry for unpublishing this book, but I wanted to edit this entire book and originally I was editing it in my drafts but I'm hoping that by republishing it with the rewritten chapters that I do have it might motivate me more to get it done and also finishing the book at the same time. I haven't edited this book since it came out back in 2019, and there's so much more that I wanted to add for Jace and his character in the earlier chapters and fix the mistakes that I've made, which is why the edit is coming through.

Also, if you're an og reader before the edits, please be aware that I'm changing two of the character's names (Jamel and Coraline's names) which was one of the reasons as to why I'm editing this book as a whole. And I'm so sorry for the massive two-ish year break that I had with publishing new chapters for this book, I'm going to make sure to get this book completed by the end of 2024 (hopefully).

As mentioned previously, this book is book three of the Social Differences Series, which is my overall Marvel series. There will be more oc's that do pop up within this book with minor roles aside from one of my oc's (Estrid). You don't necessarily need to read the other books but when it comes to the Infinity War/Endgame fanfic, the other characters will appear. Just adding this again just in case!!
