(Poem - She won't be back)

Her eyes stung
From the tears she held,
And her lips quivered
From the sobs she suppressed.

She knew it won't be long
Before all this will be gone,
She knew it won't be long
Before she would be all alone.

She knew it won't be long
But she wished, she prayed,
For this fleeting moment
To have stayed.

For as long as she remember
It was not much longer,
She wanted her mother to go away
But now, she only wanted her to stay.

She knew it won't be long
Before she would be gone,
She knew it won't be long
Before she would be all alone.

But now she just wished
For her to stay a little longer,
For she wanted to cherish
All those beautiful moments.

She knew she was going to lose
Her most precious treasure,
But maybe it was too late
To realise it's worth now.

She took a long glance
Of her mother's peaceful face,
Those caring eyes
And those gentle lips.

The warmth of her hands
And the warmth which she radiates,
She wanted to capture it all
And keep with her forever.

But sadly it was not possible
And she had to let go,
Once and for all
In order to move on.

So she carried the pain
In her heart,
Trying to get used to
The feeling of emptiness.

Knowing that
She won't
Be back
Ever again.
