The thoughts she suppressed
And the words she uttered,
Only she knew
How her mind was scattered.

The thoughts she dismissed
And the words she made up,
Only she knew
How her heart was hurt.

The glance they casted
And the assumptions they passed,
Only she knew
How much her soul was battered.
