Rose's POV

The car was dead silent besides the air conditioning noise. I want to at least make the atmosphere more comfortable, but I don't know how. I could play some music on the radio, but how do I know if he likes it? I could strike up a conversation, but what if he doesn't want to talk or what would we even talk about?

    I have no idea what to do and I'm extremely uncomfortable. You wouldn't know by looking at me though. I have mastered the art of looking emotionless. For anyone besides my friends and family I might have a resting bitch face instead. To my friends I'm just a goofy chipmunk who can't really show how she actually feels.

I finally decide that I should talk to him about something to make it a bit more comfortable. However just as I was about to speak he spoke first. Jungkook: "Mind if I ask you a question?" I didn't expect for him to have one, but way more shocked he's even speaking to me.

Rose: "You already asked me one." He rolls his eyes and scoffs. Jungkook: "Don't play smart with me darling." I don't know what the hell happened, but his voice definitely got deeper and huskier. I could feel my stomach doing flips hearing it.

Rose: "Fine what's your question?" He stays quiet before finally asking what he wanted to. Jungkook: "Whats with your eyes?" His tone told me I should be offended however I'm used to that tone especially when it involves my eye color. When you're a kid with purple eyes in school you will get picked on.

Rose: "Nothing special. My great-grandfather had them but he didn't know where he got them from. He was an orphan so he didn't know the history behind them. My grandpa lost his mother as a kid and her name was pearl. She loved the moon and night sky so when my grandpa started the mafia he named it Nightpearl. That's where I got the nickname Luna my grandpa would always call me his little moon. He passed away when I was 5 years old."

I didn't realized I rambled too much than what I had to until I finished. Rose: "Sorry I said way more than I had to." He didn't respond so I assume he didn't care if I talked too much or not. I look at my phone and check the time, 2:37pm.

      Rose: "When do you believe we will be arriving there?" Jungkook: "In about 3-4 hours or so." I nod and pull out my headphones. Parts of them were tangled from having them in my pocket. I untangle the cords and plug my phone. I go to my playlist and click on the shuffle button.

Immediately the first song in the playlist starts playing. I regret playing music though. The song that came on was the cover 'According to You' by Elise Lieberth. This song reminds me of Chanyeol which makes me want to badly sing it. I can't sing with Jungkook in the car.

I press the pause button, take off my headphones, and turn off my phone. I close my eyes and turn my head to the window. Maybe I could fall asleep again.

~~10 minutes later~~

This is pointless. It's been 10 minutes I still haven't fallen asleep. I shouldn't have taken a nap earlier it's preventing me from taking one now. I was just about to open my eyes when I hear singing. I keep my eyes close and realize the radio was still off which mean that Jungkook was singing. I continue to pretend to be asleep and listen.

Jungkook: "You can stop pretending to be asleep now." I know I should be embarrassed but all I wanna do is laugh. I struggle with holding back my laughter so much I can't breathe. Finally I could handle it anymore and I burst out laughing.

     I don't know if it confused the hell out of him or if it made him smile at my stupidity, but his eyes held a bit of what seemed to be joy. Rose: "I'm sorry. You have a beautiful voice." Jungkook: "You think it's better than yours?"

Rose: "Stop mentioning the time you heard me singing. And I wouldn't know I don't really believe my voice is amazing. Words might not hurt me most of the time, but there are times where those words stick onto me and I wonder and start to believe they are true." There was a few silent moments before he spoke up again.

Jungkook: "Come on let's go get something to eat." I look over with a confused face. Jungkook: "Food always makes someone feel better. It can make someone positive and then that someone will feel positive about themselves." I chuckle and look down to my hands.

Rose: "That may be true, but why do you care if I'm positive?" Jungkook: "Just because." Rose: "Yah! That's not an answer!" Jungkook: "Thats the answer you got deal with it darling."

I want to punch him so bad. That'll cause the car to crash and as much as I hate him there's no way this car deserves that. You poor car you should've ended up into better hands. I wonder if the car hears Jungkook talking to himself when he's driving from a bad day or something. If it does it must've suffered so much.

I cut off my own ear listening to him. Who would want to hear a deep husky voice complaining about how things don't go his way or bloating about how he was in control of something.

Yea Rosie lie to yourself. You actually like knowing how he's a man who can take control. You want someone to be dominant over you.

Am I really talking to myself? Wait better question did I really just think that and agree? I don't know what hell is wrong with me today.

-15 minutes later-

    Rose: "Where are we?" We had currently pulled up to what seemed to be a restaurant. It wasn't a known one so I figure it might be a small business one. Jungkook: "Just a place I used to come as teen with friends. Come on let's go in."

     He had friends? I can picture him being popular but I picture him being the popular kid that didn't like anyone. Therefore he wouldn't have had friends if that was true. We get out of the car and head into the restaurant.

     The restaurant was called '(I don't know make something up)' and it definitely had a modern restaurant, but cozy vibe. (A/n: I just couldn't come up with a good name sorry 😝) The walls were a dark brown, the booth were maroon, the tables were a cream color with candles and a little cute plants on top.

       Rose: "I like the inside. It's modern and cozy." Jungkook: "I hated it as a teenager because it looked way different. It seems they remodeled the place." Then why the heck did he hang out here if he didn't like it that much? Maybe the food is that good.

        We head to sit down in the booth and grab a menu on the side. As I'm looking at what I'm going to get I notice Jungkook staring at me. Rose: "Do I have something on my face or am I that gorgeous?" Obviously I was joking I don't think I'm gorgeous. Chanyeol made sure to take that thought out of my head for the rest of my life.

       So it surprised me when he answered my question. Jungkook: "You are gorgeous" I don't look up and just stay frozen. "but that's not the main reason I'm staring at you." Rose: "Then what is your main reason." Jungkook: "We don't know each other well and we have to if we are gonna work together. So why don't play a game?"

       A game? What the heck is he talking about now? Rose: "What game?" He just chuckles and smirks slightly at my confusion.

"Just the game of 21 questions of course."

Hey hey hey! (Anyone a Haikyuu fan? No? Ok.) It's the author of this book and well wanted to say sorry for not updating. Through the month of May I had to finish a lot of school work, then I'm moving to a new house so my family and I are cleaning and packing, and I got sick a about a week ago. Don't worry though, it wasn't the corona I just had a stomach bug and I kept throwing up. I'm feeling much better now. And I now have nothing to do other than still packing so be expecting more updates! Anyway stay safe, wash your hands, and wear a mask when you go out.
