Aspen's P.O.V

It has been a week since Mylie and I planned the event at Talon's home, and since then by luck, I have limited contact with both Talon and his family. Breathing out heavily I begin to focus on the new event that Mr Fox had handed over to me, after last week.  "Penny, can I come in?" Mylie asked holding two cups of coffee, rolling my eyes I waved her inside the cabin. 

"You know you don't have to ask." 

"I know. I watch just checking if you were still pissed off at Talon or not. I did not want to be the aim of your anger again."

Sighing I turned off my laptop taking a cup off of the desk, "Sorry about the other night. Nyzie was just really irritating me saying she wanted to meet him again Nini and Bear are not making it easy keeping her away from that asshole."

Mylie chuckled, "Dude if anyone heard you talking about Talon like that you would get jumped."

"Please, I am not scared of him or his fans. I have other things to worry about in life than wanting to know when his next song is dropping." I spat seething with anger, "Look can we please not talk about him."

Mylie put her hands up in surrender before taking a sip of her coffee, "Okey Dokey."

Smiling at her childishness I giggle, "Has Mr. Fox said anything else about the new clients we managed to pull in through the Talon Quest thing."

"No, he said to be on standby because he was dealing with a bunch of people at the moment."

Nodding I quickly finish my coffee getting ready to work again when I get a call from Nyzaia and Saber's school. Confused I put it on speaker so the both of us could listen. "Hello?"

"Hi this is Rhea, the secretary speaking from Morningside Elementary School, is this Aspen Flynn?"

"Yes, this is she. Is everything alright with Nyzaia and Saber?"

"Everything is fine Ms.Flynn, it is just that there is a young gentleman here looking for permission to take the two out of school along with Nina Quest. Is that alright with you?"

My heart skipped a beat, "What is the young man's name?"

"Talon Quest Ms.Flynn. It seems that your daughter is in touch with him along with your brother as Nina is his younger sister. Is it alright for their early dismissal?"

Clenching my jaw my anger spiked up again. How fucking dare he? Mylah grabbed my hand trying to calm me down, "No, I don't give permission to Talon Quest. Send Nyzaia and Saber back to their classes please."

"Ms.Flynn-"

"I am her mother, I have not given him permission to take MY daughter and MY brother out of school. If I find out they were let out of campus under his supervision you will have a lot more to worry about than defying the great Talon Quest. Do you understand Rhea?"

"Understood Ms. Flynn. Nazia and Saber will be sent back to class right away."

"Please inform Talon while I am on the phone."

"For sure, please stay on the line."

"Mr. Quest, Ms.Flynn has not given permission for them to be let off of campus. Nina is free to go with your though."

"I am just going to drop them off at home if you would let her know that."

"No Mr. Quest, I'm afraid I can not let them go with you. Saber take Nyzaia back to class please, I will come and check on you two soon." Rhea said firmly, 

I heard Saber and Nyzie whine but there was no way in hell I would let my daughter around him.

"Have a good way, Mr. Quest, see you tomorrow Nina."

"Bye, Ms. Rhea." 

Sighing I waited for her to get back online with me a couple of seconds later she came back, "Saber and Nyzaia have gone back to their class Ms.Flynn. Sorry for the interruption in your day."

"Thank you and sorry for the way I spoke to you, Rhea. I shouldn't have done that. Thank you for letting me know that he was trying to take them out of school early I appreciate it."

"It's alright Ms.Flynn. Should I put him on the no-pickup list you have?"

"Yes Please,"

"I will do that. Have a good day."

"Bye Rhea." 

Getting off the phone I relax into my chair. "Why the fuck did he want to take them out of school so early?" Mylie asked

"I don't know." I whispered, "I don't know."

I had told him to stay away from me and my daughter. Why is trying to budge his way back? I seriously can't stand him and I am trying to keep everything civil but if he tries to make room in my daughter's life again I will not stand for it. AT ALL. 

"Hey, don't stress about it. It's just another name on the list." Mylie whispered back before getting up and leaving the room. 

I knew Nyzie was going to be super fussy after school now since I didn't let her leave along with Saber. Usually, I have no problem if Nova picks the three up early from school but that's Nova, not Talon. Groaning I lean down and grab some Advil from my bag. 

I was just trying to protect her like I had promised Rhett. I didn't want her to build some kind of connection or hope with Talon because all he does, in the end, is break it and my daughter is not going to lose someone close to her again. Not after Rhett. 

Clenching my jaw I focused on work for the rest of the day as soon as the clock hit 2:30 I began to clean up my things along with Mylie ready to go pick up the kids from school.

"Ready for the screeching as soon as we reach there?" Mylie asked chuckling

"Please don't remind me. My head already hurts thinking about Saber and Nyzie's tantrum."

Getting into the car we drove over to the school, we waited and waited for the two to come out of the school for an hour getting worried I called the school office but my call is not answered. "What is taking them so long?" I asked Mylie worried. She looked over at me anxiously before unbuckling her seat belt,

"I'll go check inside."

I nodd, a couple of minutes later Mylie came back looking very anxious slamming the car door angrily she looked over at me, "Talon took them. Rhea...she let him because he gave her an autograph and took a picture with her."

My blood began to boil clenching the steering wheel in my grip I began to breathe heavily, "That bitch. I had told her not to let my kids off of the fucking campus." I shouted Mylie grabbed my arm preventing me from exiting the car.

"Wait, Penny, let's just go get the kids."

"No, she let them off-campus in a trade for an autograph and photo. Is she fucking stupid?!"

"We'll deal with her tomorrow. Let's just please go get the kids."

Clenching my jaw I roughly put the car in drive before driving over to the Quest Mansion.

Talon fucking Quest, I told you to stay the hell away from my family.
