Talon's P.O.V

As soon as I put my foot outside of the door cameras were flashing in my face the guests began to crowd around the stage as Jax and I sat down on the couch set up for us. I looked around plastering a fake smile on my face. Don't get me wrong, I love and appreciate each and every one of my fans but all the love can get overwhelming over time. Without them I would be nothing, I wouldn't be the "Talon Quest," I would just be a small-town boy with a big dream... 

Letting out a big breath I smile and wave at all the guests in the beautiful tent set up Aspen and Mylie's team had done. Nova made her way on stage with the microphone. "Welcome everyone! Tonight is a very special night because my brother Talon has returned home after ten years."

The crowd started to cheer, "These past ten years have been very eventful in his life, we are very grateful to have him in our family. This is just a small party back for his arrival in Atlanta."

My gaze scanned the room...for Aspen. Was Nyzaia really her daughter? Was she married? If she is then where is her husband? Finally, I find her standing in the corner holding Nyzaia smiling and talking to her. She looked so beautiful tonight, she had changed so much from before, then again she was 16 when I left and I was 18... a lot has changed. 

"Talon? Would you like to say a few words?" Nova said waving me over to the front

Nodding I grabbed the mike from her, "Good evening to everyone, I hope everyone is having a good time so far. I just wanted to say that I am just taking a small break from the industry...Talon Quest is not going anywhere... Thank you to my fans, and my management for understanding. I love you guys."

The crowd cheered for me, yelling I love you's back, smiling I handed the mike back to Nova before sitting back down on my Throne.

"You good?" Jax asked 

Sighing I say, "I have to be right?"

"Please enjoy, the buffet and dance floor are open for everyone," Nova said finishing off all the announcements.

"I want to go talk to Aspen," I blurted out to him, "I need to find out if that little girl is actually hers"

"What? She has a daughter?"

"I think so... Remember before we came out here I was talking to Saber and Nini? Nyzaia she was with them."

"Shit, you don't think she's yours do you?" He said jokingly earning a glare from me. 

"If she was mine then she would be older don't you think?"

"I'm just playing Noah, of course, she isn't yours. You haven't even seen Aspen since we left...she might have moved on."

Rolling my eyes I headed down the stairs towards Aspen but was stopped by a couple of fans quickly taking photos with them I looked up to the corner where she was standing but she had left. 

"Mylie!" I said quickly walking over to her grabbing her arm she gasped a little pulling her arm away.

"You scared me!" She said putting her hand over her heart, "What?"

"Where's Aspen?"

Mylie looked away from me, "None of your business Talon,"

"Wait! Please I just need to ask her something," I said stopping her from leaving, "Please,"

"What?" She snapped, "Ask me."

"Nyzaia is she her daughter?"

Mylie looked at me shocked, "How do you know about Nyzaia?"

"I met her...upstairs before I came out here."

She took a deep breath in, "Yes, Nyzaia is her daughter and before you ask no, she's not yours. Nyzaia is 6 and you left 10 years ago." I can do the math,  but if she isnt mine, then whose daughter is she?

Looking away from her I nodded, "Would you just tell me where Aspen is please?"

"You lost the right to ask about her a long time ago Talon, what's the point of asking about her now?" Mylie snapped at me before walking away. 

Fuck... She was right but I don't know I had a weird craving to see her, to talk to her. But where did she go?

Aspen's P.O.V.

"Mommy, I'm tired," Nyzie whined in my arms laying her head down on my shoulder, "Can we go home now?" Stressed I was talking to Ross through the headset, the event had been carrying on well for the past couple of hours but Nyzie had started to get on my nerves for the past couple of minutes, "Soon baby, just give mommy a minute okay?" I whispered to her "Yes Ross, I'm listening. What's going on with the drinks?"

"The drinks are fine but the-"

"But what?" I asked 

"Nothing handled everything, the stereo was having some problems the DJ just signaled that everything was alright."

Sighing I readjusted Nyzaia, "Look, I'm going to hand Nyzie over to my parents I'll be back on the radio in five minutes."

"Sounds good."

Signing off of the radio I cradled Nyzie to my chest and began to walk over to my family but I got knocked over a little causing Nyzie to stir, "Watch where you are going Sir," I snapped before looking up. 

"Sorry, I was looking for you." My heart skipped a beat from hearing his voice readjusting Nyzie I tried to hide her face from him. Regaining my posture I look up at him.

"Why?" I said,

"I-I just wanted to ask you how you are."

Raising my eyebrow at him, "It's a little late for that isn't it Talon?"

Running his hand through his hair he looked away from me, "Look if you could put your anger aside for a little while maybe we could sort everything out."

Scoffing I roll my eyes at him before brushing past him harshly, "Not going to happen Talon."

Ignoring his protests I walk over to Mom handing her Nyzie, "Mom she's getting really fussy. Do you mind taking her home?"

Mom cradles her close to her chest, "No, your dad and I will take her. Don't worry about it. Saber has school tomorrow too I was just about to grab him."

Nodding I call over Saber and send them off to the car safely with the help of another employee, relieved that Nyzie has gone out of the party lowering her chances of meeting Talon. 

"Mylie? You around here?" I radioed her

"Yeah, I see you," Mylie said a couple of seconds later she was sitting in front of me, "What's up?"

"Nothing just wanted to see you. Mom and Dad left with the kids. Nyzie was getting really fussy."

"Speaking of Nyzie, promise you won't get mad?" Mylie said cautiously

"What?"

"Talon was asking about her... they met inside of the house while she was playing with Nini and Bear. He was asking If she was really your daughter."

My breath hitched, "They met...?"

"Yeah..."

"And now it's time for a couples dance!" Nova said excitedly, "We have been dancing and enjoying ourselves for hours now it's time for a little romance. Talon and Jax will come down and choose the girls they would like to dance with and the rest of you will be welcome to join soon after."

"I don't understand why he's back," I whispered, "My life had finally gotten back on track, and now..."

"Penny," Mylie sighed grabbing my hand, "You can't let him affect you, it's not only you anymore. You have Nyzaia to take care of, you have to focus on her."

"And the boys are out on the floor ready to choose the lucky girls," Nova said chuckling before giving the mike back to the DJ. 

Letting out a big breath I put my head down for a minute, she was right, Talon had no right to come back now. He had no right to ask about me or my daughter. 

"May I have this dance?" I heard his voice say opening my eyes I saw his hand extended out towards me.
