Aspen's P.O.V

"Penny?" I felt kissing being placed all over my face, "Wake up," Graoning I try to push the person away but they catch my hand. "Penny, wake up before it's time for me to go."

Is that Rhett's voice? Opening my eyes slowly I come face to face with a smiling Rhett who was hovering above me slightly, I smile hugging him tightly against me, "Rhett! I have missed you so much!"

He chuckled hugging me back gently lifting me off the bed and into his lap, smiling I kiss him, my happiness is momentary when he pulls back I look at him confused reality hitting me, "Wait...how are you here? I-I mean how am I seeing you?"

Brushing my hair out of my face he pecked my lips, '"You're dreaming" Rhett said, "I'm just a part of your dream."

Looking into his eyes, "What?" I whisper, "That means you will be gone once I wake up?"

He sadly nodded his head, "I'm afraid so baby,"

I cling on to him, "No! Please, don't leave me. I let you go once three years back. Please, Rhett, we need you. Nyzie asks about you every day, she talks to you looking at the moon, she needs her dad, I need you."

Hugging me back tightly, "I miss you guys too Penny, but I hear everything Nyzie says, I hear everything you say...but I don't think you need me anymore."

"Don't say that."

"Talon is back..."

"That doesn't mean anything," I said stubbornly, "He can't replace you. I need you to come back for me please,"

Rhett pushed me back slightly wiping my tears away, "Penny, I know he cannot replace me because what you and I had was something different. But Penny he was always in your heart while we were together, you loved me I know, but you loved him more, and now he's back. This is your chance to get your happy ending. Nyzaia likes him and with the amount of love and care Talon gives her she'll love him too."

"No, you're her father, you're supposed to love her, she's supposed to love you not him. Stop, Rhett please."

"Penny!" He said firmly, "I can't come back...but he did. I know he hurt you...but he's back and asking for forgiveness." I whimper shutting my eyes, "I love Nyzaia more than you could ever know...and I love you. But baby you have to move on. You have to let Nyzaia build a relationship with another man so she can feel as she has me with her, has a father with her. Penny, let your guard down."

"I don't know how to,"

"He'll help you...tell Nyzie I love her." He said quietly, I opened my eyes he had slowly begun to fade away, "And that I miss her."

"Wait, wait stay a little longer,"

Rhett shook his head smiling, "I love you, Penny, remember what I said."

"Rhett wait!" I screamed scrambling to grab him but I was left alone in the room searching for him, "I love you too!" I  yelled out in the open. 

"Rhett!" I said panting sitting up in my bed.  I looked around the room but I was alone no sight of him anywhere. I looked over to the side, Nyzie was still sound asleep cuddled up against a pillow, I guess Talon had gotten up before us. Sighing I wipe off some sweat from my forehead kissing Nyzie's cheek I get out of bed. I was about to walk into the bathroom but as soon as I reached for the doorknob Talon stepped out dripping wet from his shower only in his towel. Panicking I turned around tightly shutting my eyes, "I-I am sorry, I didn't realize you were in there."

I heard him let out a low chuckle, "It's okay, you can go in." 

Sighing I walk back towards the door thinking that he moved out of the way but trip into his arms all while keeping my eyes closed, "Careful," He said quickly, "Open your eyes Navy,"

"Penny, let your guard down." Rhett's voice echoed in my mind, "He'll help you."

Slowly opening my eyes I looked into his, "Thank you," I went to stand up again but he kept me in his arms, 

"You don't have to thank me all the time Navy...I wasn't here to protect you before but I am here now. I won't let anything hurt you."

"Could you let me up?" I ask 

Nodding he brought me back up quickly, "Could you give her something to eat once she wakes up, I'm just going to take a shower."

"Sure thing,"

An odd feeling washed over me but I shook it off as I went into the bathroom, turning on the shower I wait for the temperature to get hot before stepping in. As I got in thoughts flooded my mind. In the past three years, Rhett has never, I mean I had never seen him in my dreams. I waited and waited for him to say something, give me some sort of signal that I was doing good with Nyzie and myself. Why now? Why after Talon decided to step up he decided to grace me with his presence?

"You have to let Nyzaia build a relationship with another man so she can feel as she has me with her, has a father with her."

Talon as her father? I don't know...I didn't even trust him around me how could I trust him around her? Groaning I shake my head trying to figure everything out but nothing was making sense to me...or maybe I was being too stubborn, or maybe...I don't know. 

 Quickly cleaning myself up I step out of the shower and get dressed for the day getting out of the bathroom I put my foot out the door but stop wanting to listen to what Nyzie and Talon were talking about?

"What do you want to know?" Nyzie asked peaking from the wall I see that she is eating a bagel. He probably made it for her. 

Talon chuckled, "Anything, I mean friends need to get to know each other right?"

"Well, I am 7 years old, my favorite color is purple and mommy is my best friend."

"Oh really," He said raising his eyebrow, "That really cool,"

"What about you?"

"Well, I'm 28 years old, my favorite color is orange and your mom is my best friend too."

Nyzie tilted her head to the side, "Mommy doesn't like you." She said bluntly, "Then how is she your friend?"

"Ouch Nyzie." He said jokingly, "Well before I left Atlanta, your mommy and I used to be best friends. We did everything together...we grew up together."

"Really?"

"Mmhm, now your turn."

"Um...I don't tell mommy a lot but sometimes I get jealous of other girls because they still have their daddy around. I really miss Daddy a lot. I talk to him every night, I tell him everything, but he went away somewhere far in the sky."

Talon's posture changed, "You miss your daddy?"

"Mmhm,"

"What was he like?" Why is he pushing her?

"I don't remember," She whispered, "I was really little when he...when he-" she started to choke up having enough I stepped out of my hiding spot. 

"What's going on?" I ask, Talon looks over at me surprised as Nyzie quickly wipes her tears away. My little girl had to grow up way too fast, she had already learned how to hide her tears from the world.

"Nothing, we were just getting to know each other," Talon said turning around and handing me a plate with a bagel on it. Taking it I settle down beside Nyzie who kept her gaze down away from me. 

Not wanting to create a scene I kept quiet, I knew what was going on, I knew he didn't mean to make her upset, I knew I had to listen to Rhett. But I also knew that no matter how hard Talon tried Nyzie wasn't going to let him in, and that's where I came in. That's why he came into my dreams, he knew our daughter was hurting...letting out a big breath I take a bite out of my bagel. Two weeks is what I will give him, if I feel that he has changed then maybe I will let my guard down, but if he hurts her or me in any way, then both of us are gone. No second chances, nothing. 

Two weeks Talon, let's see what you're going to do.
