Aspen's P.O.V.

Rubbing my eyes I stretch out my limbs, "Mhm," I moaned I keep my eyes closed feeling around the bed I furrow my eyebrows, it...I mean Talon wasn't there. Opening my eyes I look around the room. Getting up slowly I flinch, my body was so sore from last night, Talon had a bad habit of literally fucking up my hips. I had bruises from where he was gripping last night. "Talon?" I called out. "Talon."

Wrapping the sheets around me carefully making a quick dress I got out of bed I knock on the bathroom door, "Talon are you thee?"

I got no answer, Where could he go in the morning. Opening the door I quickly freshen up throwing on his shirt, I  limp over to Nini's room only to find it empty. Looking over at the time it was flashing 10:30 am, they were probably downstairs. Maybe Talon is there too. 

Walking down the stairs I hear everyone laughing from the kitchen, "Good morning," I said walking in. 

Everyone looked over at me, "Good Morning Penny," Talon wasn't there.

"Um...Where is-"

"Good Morning Mommy," Nyzie said hugging me, smiling down at her

"Good morning baby." Looking over at Nova I see she is making waffles for everyone, "Did you have breakfast yet?"

"About to." She said walking back over to her chair. 

I walked around the counter to help Nova, "Hey, where is Talon?" I ask her

She smirked at me looking down at what I was wearing, "Missing him already?"

Rolling my eyes at her I take some of the waffles handing them over to the kids, "Just answer the question, Nova, I don't see Jax around either."

She shrugged her shoulder, "I don't know actually I woke up today and Jax wasn't beside me he just left a note saying that he'll be back soon. Probably something important."

"But-"

"Stop stressing out, here eat a waffle." She said shoving a plate in my hand,

Sighing I sit down beside Nini and enjoy breakfast before telling Nyzie to take a shower, while I took one too. Walking up and down the stairs had become a task because of how sore my legs were.  As I took some clothes out of Nova's closet I walked over to Talon's room, I was about to get a fresh towel went a paper fell to my feet. Leaning down I picked up the paper flipping it over I read what is written on it. 

My heart skipped a beat. A plane ticket... under Talon's name, dated two days from now. I looked over at the destination, Los Angeles, California, USA from Atlanta, Georiga, USA. 

Tears filled my eyes, he was leaving again and he...he didn't tell me. "She's still upstairs?" I heard Talon ask from downstairs. I heard his footsteps on the stairs taking the ticket inside the bathroom with me I quickly look the door. I let the shower run as I stood outside staring at the ticket. 

Was he leaving again? Was he thinking about leaving or does he have to leave?

"Navy?" Talon knocked on the door, "Navy, are you in there?"

Biting my lip I clear my throat, "Yeah!" I said back, "I-I was just taking a shower."

"Without me?"

Wiping a tear away I placed the plane ticket on the counter, "I'll be out in a bit." 

"Fine, come out, I needed to talk to you about something." Was he going to talk about the plane ticket?

I let the water run for another five minutes before changing my clothes quickly tying up my hair I walk out of the bathroom Talon was laying on the bed on his phone as soon as he saw me he whispered something in the phone before hanging up. He smiled at me before walking over to me, Talon leaned in for a kiss but I dodged it. Confused he pulled away, "I want a kiss."

"And I want the truth," I said bluntly, 

Talon's smile fell as he saw my expression, hurt..."What are you talking about?"

I took the ticket out of my pocket shoving it in his hand, "What the fuck is this?" I snapped at him. 

His breath caught in his throat, his eyes widened, "Where did you find this?"

"Is that seriously all you have to say Talon?"

Talon looked up at me, "Come here," he said taking a step closer to me but I took one back shaking my head. 

"No, I need  answers,"

"And I'll give you them, just come sit down beside me I don't want to fight," Talon said firmly patting the spot beside him. 

I didn't want to fight with him either.  Sitting down beside him I cross my arms, "Are you leaving?"

"I don't want to...but I have to Navy-" I shook my head but he stopped me, "It's been two months since I have taken a break from my career I need to go back."

"Stop," I whispered getting up but he pulled me back, 

"The management has been riding my ass for the past month Navy, they wanted me to come back last month but I stayed stubborn because I wanted to fix things between us, I wanted you to be mine. But I can't do anything now Navy...I have to go otherwise they are going to drop me. I'll be done."

Tears streamed down my face, "Talon... what is more important? Me or your career?"

He looked at me shocked, "You can't ask me to chose," Talon snapped, "You can't do the same thing you tried ten years ago."

Hurt I shook my head, "I'm not asking you to chose I-if we are going to talk about ten years ago then let's talk because every time we fucking talk you blame me for saying I was asking you to chose. I never wanted you to chose I wanted you to take me with you!"

He glared at me, "I don't want to fight Navy."

"Then don't blame me for something I didn't do." I snapped back, "Ten years ago you left-"

"Stop throwing that in my face, Aspen!" He said Aspen...not Navy. 

"Ten years later you are going the same fucking thing! You are leaving!"

"I don't have a choice," Talon yelled punching the wall. "Do you think I want to leave! Do you think I want to leave you?! Nyzaia!"

"You don't have a choice?!" I asked exasperated, "Seriously, you don't have a choice?"

"I don't!"

Clenching my jaw I looked away from him, taking a deep breath I tried to calm myself down, "When will you be back?"

Talon groaned rubbing his face, "I don't know."

Biting my lip I tried to hold back a sob, "What do you mean?"

"I mean...I don't know. It could be a month, maybe a year, or maybe a couple of years."

Looking back at him I cross my arms, "What about us then Talon? What about Nyzie?" I was trying to be mature about the situation but his half-ass answers were really grinding my gears. 

He licked his lips keeping his space he looked at me with tears in his eyes this was the first time ever I had seen him cry ever since he came back. "I...I would ask to take you with me but-but I can't because I know you have a life here, Nyzie has her family here..."

"But we don't have you with us," I whispered

Taking cautious steps towards me he stopped right in front of me gently pulling me closer to him he leaned down resting his forehead against mine, "I'm here, I'm right here, and after I leave ill be in your heart. I promise you, that ill call you every day, Ill video call every night, I promise that I'll do everything to still be here with you. I need you just as much you two need me. I got my family after ten years...and now I have to go but baby..." he said desperately, "please believe me when I say I love you, I  love you so much."

Breaking down I hug him tightly not wanting to let him go, all my anger had faded away replaced with pain...the pain of him leaving again. "I love you too." I said through my tears, "I love you so much."
