Sayid Jarrah- Locket (c)

"Y/N," Sayid said softly, joining you on the sand. "Was it a locket that you lost?"

It had been two months since your plane had crashed onto a deserted island, the place you now had to call home. It was hard to adapt to your life there but there wasn't any choice. Even though every element of life was a struggle now, you felt one of the worst parts was having nothing from your home. You had lost most of your belongings in the crash, your suitcase now joined by everyone else's to only keep what was useful, and you didn't mind that but there was one thing you had desperately been trying to find. Whilst the flight begun to crash, you had been holding onto your locket that had a picture of your parents and siblings in it. In the crash, you had let go and you had no idea where it had gone but no one had seen it and no matter where you looked, you couldn't find it.

Your heart ached to not have your family by your side, but it hurt even more knowing the one thing that you always had on you to remind you of them was gone and may not return to you.

"Yeah, in the crash," you said.

"What did it look like?" He asked.

"It's gold, on a matching chain and has my initials on the front of it."

A smile curled onto his lips.

Sayid was a kind-hearted man even if he had a strong determined shell that hid that side of him to most people. He had done his best to help you with your life on the island, knowing how hard you had taken it. The two of you had become fast friends, even with a little flirting between you, but you were just glad to have someone who you cared about there, regardless of if something romantic came from it.

He gestured for you to give him his hand before dropping a small object into your open hand. You looked at it, your heart skipping a beat. It was the locket that you had lost. There was a broken link in the chain, but it had been crudely fixed with some wire.

"It was broken when I found it, I tried to fix it with what I had but it isn't the best handiwork," he commented.

You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him into a bone crushing hug. "Thank you," you squealed. "Thank you so much."

He chuckled, wrapping his arms around you too.

"It means the world to me," you smiled.

"I'm just glad to see you smile."
