~Carter

It's been weeks since that night. I lost my whole world. The hero league still hasn't contacted me. I have been looking everywhere for him. I know he's still out there. 

"Jayden please please come back to me," I whispered sitting on his bed. I curled up, "Why does it have to be you that goes missing?" I close my eyes, hoping  Jayden will walk through the door. 

"Carter," I heard Jyen.

"Yeah," I hummed. 

"Can we go out to eat?" He asked.

"Sure, " I said getting up. 

"Yay," Jyen smiled. I got one of Jayden's jackets and pulled it on. I grabbed the keys and my wallet.  We headed out. I noticed it's gonna storm. I sighed and walked down to the car. I started the car. 

" So where do you want to go?" I asked.

"The Superhero cafe," 

"Alright," I said, starts to drive away. I drive to the cafe. I looked for a parking spot. I parked in the same spot as last two weeks. 

"Well, Carter is here," I heard someone said.  I got out of the car and headed in. Jyen and I walked in and headed to our normal spot. I saw the waitress walked over. 

"Why hello there?" She smiled. 

'She must be new,' I thought. 

"What can I get for you two?"

"The lightning prince breakfast," Jyen said. 

"Coffee," I said.

"Is there anything else I can get you?" She asked.

"No beth," I said reading her name tag. I looked up at the screen I saw the tv playing the video of Jayden and me in front of the Mass Building, "It's been six years," I mumbled, looking down at the table. 

"Really?" 

"Yeah, Jyen," I looked at him 

"There you are?" I heard one of the other heroes. I looked behind

"Hey, Max any news?" I asked.

"No, sadly, " he sighed sitting next to me, "But we might have some clue of what happened that night."

"I know what happen that night," I growled.

"Carter," Max handing me Jayden's phone. 

"No. No. No. NO!" I said in disbelief, shaking my head, "HE'S NOT DEAD!" I said grabbing his phone disappearing.  I arrived at the building where Jayden and I first met. I curled up, looking at his phone, "Love please come back to me, " I whispered holding the phone close to me.  I saw a flash of lightning. I immediately looked up. I sighed disappointedly. I switched into my costume.  I did my usual search above and below the city. 

A clash of thunder and lightning that far behind it. I sighed while standing in the rain. I never stop my search for him. I know he's out there somewhere. I sat on the edge of the building watching the city. I close my eyes and let myself fall off the building. I relax feeling the wind. I knew I was getting closer to the ground. I felt someone catch me and laid me on the ground. I open my eyes and looked around. 

"DAMN IT," I screamed curled up into myself. 

"Dark Shadow,"I heard a little girl voice. I looked over at her. 

"Yeah, kid," I whispered.

"Where Lightning Prince?" She asked.

"I don't know but I'm still looking for him," I said. She nodded and walked away. I sighed and close my eyes. I stretched and got up.  I started to head home. I saw the flash of lightning around me. It feels so familiar, "Lightning," I whispered. I was getting close to the hideout. I saw something. I got closer to it. 

"No. No. No. Please no,"
