~Carter

I stretched looking around. I noticed that Jayden was still laying next to me. I smiled. I notice something was off.

"Jayden," I whispered, gently touched his shoulder. He flinched growling. I sighed and gently played with his hair, "Shush it's okay," I whispered. I saw him slowly relaxed into my hand.  I smiled, "My prince," I whispered softly.  I looked up at the ceiling, relaxing. 

"CARTER," Jayden screamed, gripping my wrist. 

I hissed softly, "Jayden shush it's okay." I rubbed the back of his hand. 

He woke up, panting, "Carter," he whispered.

"Yeah, it's me," I whispered. Jayden carefully lets go of my wrist. 

"I'm sorry," 

"It's okay," I said softly.

"I hope I didn't break it," 

"You didn't," I said cupping his cheeks. Jayden leans into it. I kissed his forehead, "Your safe. I will protect you," 

"It's my job to protect you," he whispered.

"You do, Jayden. You keep me from turning back into my old self," I smiled.

"I know but not what I meant,"  Jayden looked up at me.

"I know but that what you meant," I looked at him. He pulled me onto his lap. I chuckled. 

"I really missed you," He whispered. 

"I really missed you too," I said placing my forehead against his. We both heard a knock at the door. I got up and walked over to it. I open the door and saw Jyen standing there. 

"Carter, can we go get breakfast?" Jyen asked.  

I glance behind me, "Um... yeah," I said. 

"Who's in there?"

"It's Jayden," I said.

"Wait, you," 

"Yes,"

"He's coming to, right,"

"Well yeah, but we got to keep an eye on him," I said.

"Why?"

"Because he was kidnapped and well we don't know what they have done to him," I stated.

"True,"

"Alright, let's go get food," 

"Alright," Jyen walked away. I walked back over to Jayden.

"Are you hungry?" I asked Jayden

"Starving," He mumbled.

"Alright, well let's get dressed and we gonna head to the cafe," I said. 

"That sounds good," Jayden said getting up. I picked out some clothes for him and me. I felt arms around my waist, "Hey, I can do it myself you know," He whispered in my ear. I shuddered.

"I know," I whispered, lean back into him. 

"But you are definitely wearing one of my hoodies," He ordered.

"I was planning on it," I smiled at him. He kissed my cheek. I leaned into it, "Come on we got to get dressed."

"Alright, fine," He sighed. I smiled and pulled away from him. I got dressed.  I turned around and saw Jayden's bare chest. I notice scars. I felt my heart dropped. I teared up letting out a low growl.

"Carter," I clench my fist, "Carter," I felt someone grab my shoulder, "Hey, " I felt a hand cupping my neck, "Carter, please talk to me," I snapped out of my instant kill mode. 

"Huh?" 

"Carter, don't do that," Jayden whispered whipping the tears away.

"I couldn't help it you're covered in scars that I know you didn't have before you went missing," I mumbled.

"I know," He pulled me close to him. I buried my face into his shoulder. 

"I should've tried to get to you sooner," I whispered.

"Shush it's okay Carter," Jayden whispered, rubbing circles in my back. I slowly starting to relax. We stayed like this until was completely calm, "We should finish getting ready." 

I nodded. We pulled away and finished getting ready. We walked out of the room.  I saw Jyen waiting for us. 

"Wow, did you two have a quicky," 

"Jyen no," I growled softly.

"Yeah, sure whatever. Can we go eat now?" He asked.

"Yes," Jayden smiled. I nodded grabbing the keys. I felt a hand over mine, "I'm driving, "Jayden whispered. 

"I really hate when you do that," I mumbled shuddered some. 

"I know but I want to drive," He smiled. 

"Fine," I let him take the keys. We walked out to the car and got in. I looked over at Jayden to make sure he was okay. Jayden smiled and started up the car. He started to drive off.  I lean back. 

"So, which cafe are we going to?" He asked.

"The hero cafe," Jyen answered. I just relaxed. 

"Alright," He drove. 

Within a few moments, we arrived at the cafe.  We all got out of the car and headed in. 

"Normal spot Carter," The waitress said not looking up. 

"Yeah, but I'm gonna need one more menu,"

"Oh," she said looking up and notice Jayden," Oh my," 

"Hi, I'm Carter's boyfriend," Jayden introduce himself. 

"Oh really," Her voice sounds a bit angry.

"Um... yeah," He said a bit confused. 

"He's my new boyfriend," I blurted.

"Oh," She said looking at me.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Well it's nice to meet you then," She smiled and showed us to the table.

"Carter?"

"Jyen and I come here almost every day when you went missing. They assumed I was having a relationship problem. So they asked me about it. I told them my boyfriend is missing.  They told me he's probably cheating on me, " I sighed. 

"Oh, so that's why they assume I was him," He whispered. 

"Yep,"

"But I'm him,"

"I didn't tell them your name," I looked up at him. 

"Oh thank god," Jayden chuckled. We got to our seats. Jayden and I took one side and Jyen took the other.  We sat down and ordered our drinks. We waited until Jayden figured out what he wanted. 

The waitress walked back over, "Ready you three?" She asked. 

"I'll take my usual," I said.

"Same,"

"I'll take what Carter is getting," Jayden said.

"Alright," She smiled and walked away. I lean against him. I looked up at the screens seeing some of the memorable moments. 

"Wait, I remembered that one," he whispered.

"I do too," I smiled up at him. Our food came out. We starting to eat. 

"Breaking News. We are here live at the iconic building where Lightning Prince and Dark Shadow shared a kiss. We have word that it's under attack by a new group of Villians." 

"Ready to battled some villain to show that Lightning Prince is back?" I asked.

"Only if you join me," He smiled.
