1. Shatanika is dark skinned like his parents and has a head full of curly hair. He is the most beautiful baby anyone has ever seen and has almost all his uncles and aunts and older siblings wrapped around his little finger.

2. Shatanika is the most jovial of the siblings and if there is ever a group of people in splits of uproarious laughter then it was almost certain that Nakula's oldest would be found in the spotlight.

3. Shatanika loves the vermillion hue and his wardrobe is almost entirely filled with the shades of red, orange and flaming yellow.

4. Shatanika had developed a fascination for animals from Nakula and helps him and Subhadra in the exotic menagerie that the latter two had set up in Indraprastha.

5. Shatanika is the only one amongst the Pandava children who had taken to singing and has the most mellifluous voice amongst them. He had seen Arjuna playing the Rudra Veena once and had harangued the third Pandava to his wit's end till he had taught it to him and any other musical instrument that was in creation.

6. Shrutakarma is the closest to Shatanika and both of them are mostly inseparable and could be seen lingering in the shadows in an attempt to scare the living daylights out of anyone absentminded enough to fall for their elaborately laid out pranks. Scaring Krishna till he jumped six feet in the air had been the duo's piece de resistance.

7. Shatanika had helped Niramitra embroider a saree for Draupadi with her favourite flower motifs. He had cut his fingers open and there were faded blots of his blood marring the fabric and the stitches were amateurishly thready. It is Draupadi's favourite saree.

8. Shatanika had a particular affinity to the mace and could easily overpower his siblings in a one to one combat with the same. Arjuna had teasingly informed Nakula that it was the latter's penance for preferring their second oldest brother over the rest. Nakula hadn't found it particularly funny but Shatanika had beamed like the very sun as Vrikodhara had swung him up on his mighty shoulders and walked around the decimated training arena.

9. Shatanika's wedding gift to Uttaraa had been providing her with enough blackmail material to tease Abhimanyu to the moon and back for an entire lifetime if need be.

10. Shatanika was found with half of his throat slashed open; his beautiful head barely hanging onto the rest of his torso through a pathetic strip of bloodied flesh.
