I just finished moving all my boxes. It took me like two hours to take everything out of my dad's car. If you're wondering where he is, he is going back to Japan because of work. He is a businessman. He sells bicycles all over Japan. And since my mom is deceased, I have to alone.

I exhaled and wiped off some of my sweat with a towel.

"Time to tidy things up..." I got the nearest box and pulled out some stuff.

First, I got the thing that was on top. It was my cap that I wear when I go to dance lessons or when I make my dance videos. It is black and pink with the word 'DNCR' printed on the front.

I put that aside and went for the next thing, my music scores. All my compositions and works compiled in one thick portfolio. I felt a bit of nostalgia as I remembered my mother. I never met her. My dad doesn't say much about her. He said that she used to be a composer, that she loved music as much as I do. When I ask what ever happened to her, he stays silent then tells me:

"She had an accident..."

Then he kisses my forehead and holds back the tears.

"I'll treasure these forever..." I whispered to myself. As I put the portfolio on my desk, I spotted an unfamiliar box.

!!!!

"Argh!" I held my head. A sharp pain hit my head.

Miku!

A voice in my head called me. I looked around then back at the box.

"The box...?" I muttered then touched the box.

My little girl...

"Ahhh!!!!" My head hurt again. The voice came back.

I'm sorry...

That was the last thing it said and left. What just happened..?

I remembered the box. I debated with myself it I should open it or not. How did this get in my stuff? Is this mine? I don't remember having this... Is it dad's? What was the voice just now?

Because curiosity beat me, I opened the box.

In a blink of an eye, a flying thing came out.

"I'm free!" The thing exclaimed. I backed away and reached for the fly swatter.

It saw me. The thing looked like a small blonde human with wings. It's flying towards me.

Crap. Crap. Crap..!

"Stay away!" I held up the swatter and tried to hit it. It dodged my attack and waved it's hands.

"Woah, woah, woah! Hold up a minute!" It talked as I tried to kill the thing.

"Just wait and hear me out!" It shouted and got the fly swatter out of my hand.

"Wh-Wha!?" I reacted. It sighed.

"Now you will listen." It stated. I shakily pointed my finger at it. The unknown entity smiled in delight.

"I am Rin, your kwami!" She said joyfully. "I'm a pixie!"

"Kwami? Pixie?" My eyes widen then I shut them. "I must be hallucinating..." When I open my eyes again, she was still there. She was pouting.

"Ugh..." She groaned. "I am real. You opened that box there, so that means you're the chosen one." I looked at the box on my left.

"Chosen one? Chosen for what?" She flew in front of me.

"To find and defeat Hawk Moth!" She exclaimed. "He's been a big problem here in Paris lately. Giving powers to people with hatred and revenge in their hearts and making them do his dirty work."

"Oh... So the rumor about a cat and a ladybug duo thing is true?" She nodded in reply.

"They have kwamis, just like me! And they also have the same purpose!" She explained. "But the thing is, Hawk Moth has a new sidekick. A really powerful one, one that can beat the unstoppable duo." I raised my brow.

"So...?"

"So you have to help them!"

"Are you insane? I'm not getting dragged into that mess." I refused. She did the puppy eyes. I crossed my arms.

"That ain't working." I told. She kept doing it. I groaned.

"Find another person! I won't do it!" I turned my back at her and continued unboxing my stuff.

"C'mon! Please! Pretty please!" She whined and flew beside me.

"No."

"Please?"

"No." She finally stopped. I pulled out a picture frame of me and dad. Rin flew at it.

"Hm...." She looked at the picture intently. I looked at her in the corner of my eye.

"What?" I asked.

"I feel like I've seen this guy before..." She mumbled. I gave her a questioning look.

"My dad?" Her eyes widened with shock.

"No way..." She whispered then looked at me.

"What?" She held my finger with her tiny hands. She looked at me with shock.

"You're Hatsune!? Miku Hatsune!?" She asked. What's going on?

"Why? What's going-?"

"Your mother! I know her! I know her!" My eyes widened. What!?

"You know my mom? How...? What happened-?"

"I don't know! But I remembered she told me to protect you and become one with you!" She explained.

"Protect? Protect me from what? Become one with you?" She nodded vigorously. I was still processing what the pixie is telling me.

"I'm sorry I don't know all the details of what happened to her but trust me!" She pleaded. "You must be the new hero to save the world! You were destined to be! Please cooperate with me!"

I want to think that she was kidding me or she wasn't real but, everything seemed real. She wasn't lying. If she knew mom, then.... She might know what happened to her, right..?

"Fine." Rin's eyes beamed for a moment. "On one condition."

"Yes! Yes! Anything!" She rejoiced. I closed my eyes for a moment then opened them.

"I want you to tell me everything you know about my mother." She paused. I sensed a hint of hesitation from her but she agreed.

"Okey-dokey!" She said cheerfully then giggled. "Let me explain your power, Miku-nee!"

"Don't call me that. No honorifics." She pouted.

"Fine..."

Master Fu's POV

Meanwhile, Master Fu, the healer and the great guardian, sensed an unknown disturbance with the Miraculouses. He quickly rushed to the record player and took the box of Miraculouses out.

"What's wrong, Master?" His kwami asked worryingly. The master opened the box. Everything was the same except that two different Miraculouses were now on top, beside the ladybug's and the cat's. One was a black wolf and the other was not an animal but musical note, a treble clef-shaped Miraculous. The Guardian's eyes widened.

"Just as I thought..." The old man muttered.

"A great power has been revived..."

So our kawaii Rinny gets in the picture! And our tsundere Miku agrees to be the next hero.
