=Rainbow Steve's POV=

"Here you go, guys." Time Steve said, handing us the explosives. We stood at the entrance to the In-Between. "Thank you. We'll be back soon. Will you be okay?" Sabre asked. Time nodded. "Yes, I'm just very, very tired..." 

"Go rest, alright? Thank you so much for your help." Sabre said. Time nodded, his expression concealed by his clock mask. He teleported off.

Sabre took my free hand. "Ready?" I smiled and nodded. "Yeah!" We jumped in together, falling though the portal and into the center of the In-Between. "Quickly," Sabre said, "we need to get these all down before Elemental comes back. Let's do the portal hall!" He led me through a portal, and into the portal hall.

We began placing down the little explosives. Time had told us that even though they were small, they could blow through obsidian, which was impressive!

We soon finished placing the explosives from that area down. "Rainbow...? What's that noise..?" Sabre asked nervously. I paused to listen, hearing a faint ticking noise. "..Oh shoot. Oh dang. One of them is going off-" I realized. We ran back to the center of the In-Between, only to be met with Elemental glaring at us.

"Uhh..." Sabre laughed awkwardly. "Aha... Heyyy, Elemental Steeeve..." I moved behind Sabre. Elemental seemed to be burning with rage. Sabre put an arm in front of me to shield me.

"You two... Have no idea what you've just done!!" He yelled. He marched forward and grabbed Sabre and I by the arms. I yelped and threw the rest of my explosives down as the ticking went faster. Sabre struggled, mainly trying to free me from Elemental's harsh grasp as we were shoved through a portal, and the next thing I knew, Sabre and I were separated.

My body slammed against a glass wall, causing me to stumble back and groan in pain. My vision went white from the sudden impact, and I had to sit down. "S-Sabre..?" I called out. I heard footsteps approach as my vision cleared.

I glanced around, realizing that I was stuck in a wide glass tube with tiny vents for oxygen. Not like I really needed it. The tube was in a relatively empty room, a hallway to one side and a small doorway on the other. 

The owner of the footsteps soon revealed himself. It was Elemental Steve, obviously. I crossed my arms and stood. "What do you want!?" I huffed. There were some new scars on his skin, and several bandages. Did the explosives go off before he got through the portal? That means the In-Between was destroyed! I smiled a bit at this victory. But how did he get patched up so quickly? Did he delay my arrival through the portal?

"What I want, Rainbow Steve, is the artifacts." He scowled. My face paled at this. "Th-the artifacts-?" I shrunk back immediately. Why would he want the artifacts!? I don't even have them! "Yes, Rainbow Steve, that's what I said. Now give them to me, I know you have them on you."

"I don't, I swear! I gave them to my friend to hide them!!" I cried. Elemental slammed his fist on the glass, causing me to jolt back in shock. "And who is that friend, Rainbow Steve?" He growled. I pressed myself against the back of the tube, as far away from Elemental as I could get. 

"I can't tell you!" I yelled. "WHY!?" He shouted.

I flinched again. "I d-don't remember their name!" I lied. I felt like if my friend was watching, they'd be proud of me. Elemental pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a loud sigh. "What's his most prominent feature?" He scowled.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Their most prominent feature." I corrected. Elemental rolled his eyes. "Whatever, just tell me!" He prodded. 

"They have a giant eye in the center of their head." I huffed. "A- ..A giant eye-? They're a cyclops?" He seemed taken aback. Good >:) This also means he doesn't know them :0

"Yes, they're a cyclops! Now stop talking about it, they're self-conscious of it." I scolded. Elemental shrugged. "You don't seem like you'd be the type to make friends with a cyclops..." He muttered. This would probably make my friend upset if they were here..

"Oh yeah!? Well I did! Now where's Sabre!?" I demanded. Elemental glared at me, then turned and left through the doorway. "Hey!! You can't just leave!!" I yelled, but he was already gone. I sat down again, hugging myself. "Sabre.?" I called out again. He must be in another room. I felt so bad for him, what if he gets all stressed out again and gets stuck in his head? He needs someone who's there for him in stressful situations!

I hugged by knees to my chest, resting my head on them. Maybe if I thought about him enough, he'd be okay. I sighed. "Someone, please help..."
