As the sun rose, Ash woke up excited for the next round in the tournament. He turned to see Serena still peacefully sleeping by his side. Ash kissed her forehead which woke her up and she let out a yawn. Serena turned towards Ash and gave him a peck on the lips.

"Good morning Ashy" Serena greeted.

"Good morning Sere" Ash replied.

"Are you excited for the next round?" Serena asked.

"Of course, and it's against Iris" Ash answered.

"What Pokémon will you be using?" Serena asked again.

"Thinking back on what she might use, her best choice in a 1 on 1 would most likely be Dragonite" Ash explained, "So I might get Noivern a try"

"Are you sure, he is the youngest member of your squad" Serena stated.

"I know, but he's still powerful" Ash exclaimed, "He took down a Zapdos, remember?"

"Oh yeah, we should never underestimate him" Serena exclaimed, "Especially those readers who think that Noivern is Ash's weakest Kalos Pokémon"

"Who?" Ash questioned.

"Oh, no one" Serena nervously said.

Meanwhile

Jaden: *typing the story*

*Fourth wall breaks*

Jaden: Uh oh.

Readers: WE CAN COME IN!!!

Jaden: SEGATA!!!

Segata Sanshiro: *creates an army of himself and sends the reader back*

Jaden: *fixes fourth wall* There we go.

Back to the story

As the crowd grew wild for all the battles that were shown, it was now Ash and Iris' turn to go. The two went onto the battlefield and stood face to face, both not showing a happy face for each other. The two threw their Pokéballs and Noivern and Dragonite appeared with Dragonite looking angry like always. After the referee started the match, the two dragons began sending attacks at one another.

"Dragon Claw" Ash ordered.

"Counter with Thunder Punch" Iris yelled.

The two dragon type Pokémon collided their attacks which caused an explosion to occur, sending each other back. Due to Noivern's attack being super effective, Dragonite took more damage than it did. Noivern then flew up close and attacked using Acrobatics which started angering Iris' Dragonite. This caused it to fire an Ice Beam which Noivern easily dodged. Due to the sudden rampage, Iris was instantly disqualified but it didn't stop Dragonite from attacking. It blasted a Hyper Beam towards Noivern which it swiftly dodged but the latter ended up hitting Ash. This got him very injured and he was taken back to the Centre while Iris was taken away with her Dragonite.

In the Emergency Room

"Will he be okay?" Serena asked worryingly.

"He took a lot of damage from that hit, he will recover but we don't know how long it will take" Nurse Joy explained.

"If only there was a miracle that could help us" Clemont stated.

"I can help, I've got a lot of experience in the medical field" Andrew suddenly said.

"Are you sure?" Nurse Joy questioned.

"Of course, I was the one who took care of his injuries when he lost his memory" Andrew pointed out.

After some consulting, Andrew was allowed entry to where Ash was resting. The others followed him and he pulled out a computer from his backpack. He started scanning through Ash and it turns out that he has cracked a bit of his skull. Serena was worried when she saw that but Clemont and Dawn calmed her down. Andrew then went through his bag and pulled out a med kit. He took out a needle with a blue liquid and injected it into Ash's head. After doing that, the computer started showing that his skull was sticking back together. Everyone was relieved at this and Ash started gaining consciousness.

"Where am I?" Ash asked making people think he might've gained more amnesia.

"Ash, you're in the Pokémon Centre on a hospital bed" Max answered.

"Oh, I must've gotten knocked out by that Hyper Beam" Ash stated.

"Even worse, you cracked your skull" Serena told him, "But you're now fine thanks to Andrew"

"It did however damage more of your memory so you are now at only 42%" Andrew said looking at his computer.

"This is going to be hard" Ash sighed.

After the whole drama of Ash almost dying or losing his memories again, everyone went back to their rooms. The tournament was postponed for now due to this cause and Iris has been taken to Pokémon anger management school. This will be a long tournament for Ash and the gang.
