Immediately I got to the cafeteria to meet the gang I knew something was wrong. Anais was sitting as far as possible from her best friend, Chloe. "Uh hey", I greeted nervously sitting down. Cody immediately took charge, looks like nothing happened to him and here I was worrying about him, "Let's get down to business".

"You have power over fire!?", I asked  Sebastian, my brain refusing to digest this information. Rick looked annoyed, "I thought I would get that given my personality". "Well you didn't regardless", Anais said looking at him clearly teasing. "Maybe he's feelings matter Anais", Chloe said coldly not exactly in a voice that said, 'I'm defending my friend'. What was that about. "Hey hey its not that serious", Rick said immediately sensing the hostility, "It doesn't matter I'll get a different element so its ok". Chloe looked away blushing like she couldn't believe she said that while Anais looked like she wanted to bite her head off. "By the way Gaea visited me", Rick said making all of us turn sharply towards him. "What?!", we said in unison.

After he finished he added, "She said miss high strung would attack the closest to Cody". "So I should be warned and so should Roxanne". The others looked at me surprised. Well all except Cody and gaze wasn't exactly comforting, he was looking at me like I betrayed a secret, great going Gaea.

After we dispersed Cody pulled me into an empty classroom, "Why'd you tell him we already know each other". "I-i didnt", I stuttered, he looks soo angry. "Then please be explain why Rick knows", he said his voice icy. "Look I don't know ok", I snapped, "If you trusted me you would know that".  His gaze softened, "I do trust you its just-". "No you don't", I said looking away. "Of course I do", he said squeezing my hand, "You know that more than anyone". "Have you ever thought that Gaea probably said that unconsciously", I said. "She said it but I don't think it was done unconsciously", he said, "I just want to know why". "I've got to go but please don't tear yourself apart because of this", I said, he looked at me imcredulously, "The last time I recall you completely disregarding yourself". "Fine", he said sighing, "You got me". "Later", I said happy with my little victory. But I was still worried about Anais and Chloe. I hope this isn't to serious it could destroy our synchronization, not to mention their entire friendship.
