Chapter 24: My final answer
LUCY'S POV
This was the third time i was kissed by Sting, and also the third time i had to push him away. To others, it might have looked a little forceful, and it indeed it was. Sting did not care about how i was feeling right now!
"E...Enough....." i said in between little pecks.
"Why?" he asked, "Do you not like this?"
"It's wrong..." i said, successfully making space between us. However, it was proved to be useless as he pulled me closer to his body.
"To me, it is right." he said, diving in for another. I was caught, and it wouldn't make sense to get away, he'd only get me back again soon.
"Am i interrupting something here?"
Our heads turned to the right to see D-Sting standing in the doorway, an accomplished look on his face. To me, i was glad he came but to Sting...guess he was, but a weed.
"What do you think?" snapped Sting, turning on his heel and walking away. Okaaay, guess someone is a little moody? We watched him storm out the guild and slam the doors shut. Oh well, they're sturdy enough.
"What's with him?"
"I wish i knew." i replied, chasing after him.
I emerged from the guild, looking for where Sting could be. He's sick and he knows it! Who knows what he could be doing, other people could get harmed! Thankfully, it doesn't seem like he went far, as the moment i stepped out, he sat down outside.
"What's wrong?" i asked.
"Nothing, just a little mad." he replied.
"Why?"
"Because of the stupid blonde idiot."
"Don't forget that he's you."
"Exactly why i said 'stupid blonde idiot', Lucy."
"Umm.....right."
Oh, so he's mad at his friend? Well that's a relief. For a moment, i thought it was me and i had to go through the labor of fixing things...never again.
"You know, he interrupted, so interruptions must always continue." said Sting. Before i had time to process what he said, i was pulled in for another make-out session.
Skipping details, i managed to get away with my clothes slightly wrinkled. Sting, however, had his hair all in a mess, (don't ask why) and his lips tainted with a little lip gloss....of mine. That proves how rough he was.
"You say it's wrong, yet this is the prize i get." he said.
"I was forced!" i backfired, narrowing my eyes at him.
"Psh, yeah right. Come on, you know damn well that you want to be with me again, like before." he said, changing topics and getting serious. The atmosphere around us tensed.
"But i----"
"Also, keep in mind that i have given you time and space like you wanted...enough of it too." he said.
Shit. All this time, he was doing that and i completely forgot and then...forgot to think about what my next decision would be. Well, the only thing left to do is...run.
"Umm, i am going to go home now. I'm feeling a little sick." i said quickly, jumping up and rubbing my forehead. I turned 180 degrees and headed for my apartment, ignoring his calls...of course. Who does he think he is? Hmph.
STING'S POV
Feeling satisfied that my body got a little smoochy there, i felt alarmingly pleased and happy with myself. Although i called for her to come back and she went home, i was not that disappointed.
But, i do have to teach someone a little table manners. And that someone, might just be me...well not me actually but you know, the other blonde guy and stuff.....oh hush, you get me. Psh, readers nowadays, wanting everything to be clear as day to them.
Oh, i'm sorry. Are you a reader? Am i insulting you? No, i am not. You are not a reader. You are a fan. Of Sting-sama..... *glitter flies everywhere*
"Are you sane...?" asked the infected-mosquito, as he questioned my inner thoughts to 'readers'.
"Of course i am, you dickhead. I was adressing my readers." i said.
"I thought they were fans?"
"Same shit."
"I see...well to me, they are not fans but lovely people who deserve so much more. They deserve--"
"Would someone please call a doctor?! This guy is insane, he is talking to the readers!!!' i belted out to the public. Disgusted looks were thrown his way and i laughed.
Sting-1, Malaria spreading weed- 0.
I think i'm gonna win this game.
"You, my copycat of a handsome man who is me of mine, need to learn when to break in. Lucy and i were quite busy earlier, if you could have at least noticed." i said through clenched teeth, a forced smile on my face. Was that possible? Hmm...well even if it wasn't, i made it possible.
"That's why i barged in. I may want my girlfriend back but you were clearly having the upperhand on her. I at least, have some justice." he said, "You clearly have no sense of justice."
"Well somebody needs to give you an Oscar for figuring that out, hoo hoo." i taunted, rolling my eyes. Aww yeah bitches, sassy and snobby Sting is back along with the value pack of beautiful, bold and vain. No refunds.
"You know, i'm also helping you out here." he replied, dusting his shoulder where my hand was a few seconds ago.
"I'm gonna bet you, your entire life is fucked up if what you just said is true." i said, obviously saying dumb stuff but was insulting him as well.
"You could at least thank me." he said, putting his hand out.
"You really want a bitch slap?" i asked.
"No you fool...oh my, you're so hard." he sighed, walking back into the guild and facepalming, and complaining about me being hard to deal with.
"Yeah, that's what she said!!" i yelled back, feeling pleased with my ten out of ten jokes. That idiot needs to learn his place.....hmm....you know who i just thought of? Rogue. Damn. Where is that guy? Anyways, wherever he is, well.....whatever. Like i care. Actually...i do but....whatever.
Feeling slightly bored, i decided it was high time to go back to Sabertooth. It feels like a year.
"Welcome back!" greeted Yukino at the door, as i happened to bump into her.
"Thanks." i greeted with a smile. Before i had the chance to say something else, some furball was soon attached to my face.
"HE'S BACK~~!!" yelled a familiar squeaky voice. LECTOR! I hugged him back.....well...not really seeing as how he is on my damn face. Can you hug something on your face? Hmm...well it's not possible fo rme.
"Look who finally shows up." says Rogue, waltzing in from who knows where. Lector detached himself and sat on my head.
"Don't talk to me like i'm some kid." i retorted, giving him a sly smile.
"You sure talk like one." he replied, "Where's Lucy?"
"Ran away." i replied, pouting. Confusion took over his entire face. Frosche, who i am now seeing, latches himself onto Rogue's leg.
"What for?! Wait...Did you scare her?" he asked. By 'scare', i knew he meant in a perverted way. I nodded my head. He was right, i did 'scare' her with my kiss, afterall. And the other things but no one cares.
"You have some work to do. Let's make a trip to your office, now shall we?" he informed, and i sighed. This, was one reason why i didn't come back here. That was because of the work. As he began climbing stairs, i groaned like an elephant. Since when did these stairs make children?! There are twice in numbers!
"You're over exaggerating. And talking out loud again...you never do change." mumbled Rogue, as he opened my office door.
"Why didn't you do the work for me?" i asked, sitting on the chair.
"I'm not your slave."
"I thought you were."
"You know, you need to start exercising. You've become quite lazy. The gym is not far." he said, handing me a pen.
"There's a reason i don't go there, Rogue. It's because, when i become sweaty, i'll take off my shirt. Then all the girls, including the staff, will gawk at my body. And then Lucy will happen to pass by and think of the wrong idea and i'll be stuck in deep shit." i explained, raising an eyebrow.
"You've given this thought, haven't you? Why don't you invite Lucy? That way, she'll understand. Besides, she will get to see this 'body' of yours and you never know." he said, saying something smart for once since.....since.....i don't know.
I jumped up quickly, the pen in my hand flipping and flew into the wall.
"That's a greeeaaattt idea!! Thanks buddy!" i said, patting his shoulder and running out.
"HEY! YOU HAVE WORK!" i heard him say, right after i slammed the guild doors shut.
I marched to Lucy's home, ready to get her. While walking, however, my determination slowly wavered. Confused, i stopped walking to take a look at myself.
Just what am i doing? Shouldn't i be...fighting for her, right now? I mean....why....why am i pretending like none of this is....it doesn't matter? I cursed myself.
Such thoughts are flowing in my head. Why did i start thinking of all this? I was so happy just a few seconds ago, and now....i'm thinking about my actions? About Lucy? About my life?
"Are you okay?" asked a concerned voice. I looked to see Lucy gazing at me.
"Umm...yeah yeah." i said, turning my head away, and waving my hand.
"You big fat liar." she accused. Shit.
"It's nothing really." i said, as we began to slowly walk somewhere...i don't know where. Our legs just went wherever.
"You don't have to hide it from me." she said, walking ahead, hands behind her back and looking like a little girl. I smiled softly, a light chuckle escaping my lips.
"I was thinking about you." i said.
"Was it nice things?"
"Nice things about you, bad things about me." i replied. She stopped walking, and had me run into her, apologizing afterwards.
"Talking about this, there's something i want to say." she said.
Oh great going Sting. Now she's going to lecture you about how stupid you are for thinking about such a trivial thing. Oh am i pleased. I prepared myself for the worst, as she herself, looked pleased with what she was going to say.
"Look, i'm really sorry." i said.
"You are?"
"I regret it. Don't say it. I won't accept it." i said. I won't accept her lecture, nope... I may be depressed but i still have my pride.
"Oh....you won't...?" she said softly, turning around, "It's okay. It's my fault for taking so long to say that i wish things could go back to the way it was. I didn't know you knew i was going to say that."
Wait, what?
"What did you say?!" i exclaimed.
"Umm...i want us to go back but you said you won't accept it."
"No no, it's not like that! It was something else, I love you!" i exclaimed, grabbing her shoulders, "Yes, i've been waiting and you finally said it! You're serious, right?"
"Yes, i am." she laughed.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Tears brimmed my eyes, i forced them not to fall. Well i threatened them. But this is just great....
I have her back! But hold on. Something's fishy. I pushed her away, narrowing my eyes.
"You're not lying, are you?" i asked, "Are you sure you're Lucy of Fairy Tail?"
"If you want me to take it back, i'm fine, but i've done alot of thinking." she said.
"No! You ain't taking shit back!" I said.
It was weird, but it was true. It was really her. And it was really she who forgave me. I saw the genuine feelings in her as she just....just slapped me for saying something perverted. Yep. It's her alright.
