Dinner went well, turns out my dad is going to be staying for good now; no more travelling. I do not know his reason for that decision but I am happy that I get to spend more time with him. Its been so long since we've ever sat down to discuss and I was more than happy to do that with him. I have never heard him utter more than a sentence to me since mum died so you could imagine my joy. We talked about a lot of things and I told him about Christian. He told me to invite Christian over tomorrow and after a while of just talking about random topics, he said he was tired.
When he retired to bed, I trudged upstairs clearly exhausted but happy with the way the events of today turned out- that is, my dad coming home and our bonding time and of course, the fact that Chris asked me out and I am now his official girlfriend.
Checking my phone, I realized I had kept it on silent so it wouldn't disturb dinner with my dad and I had 30 missed calls- 10 from Chris which made me  smile like crazy and 20 from my crazy best friend, Emily.
I also had 10 voicemails- 2 from Chris again and you guessed rightly, the remaining 8 from Emily. Playing that of Chris first;
"Baby, how did your dinner go? Just checking up on you"
And the second one;
"I guess you are really tired...probably the reason why you are not picking my calls. Goodnight my angel and sleep tight"
The concern from his voice made me so happy. I can't believe I was so lucky to be his girlfriend.
I didn't bother opening up the voicemail Em sent me so I called her directly.
"Charrrrrrrrrrllllllllooooootttttttteeee!!!!!!!!! Where have you been? I have been calling and calling. I can't believe you didn't call me and what is this news I am hearing-
" Em, calm down. That is why I called."
I ended up telling her how Chris asked me out and the letters and flowers plus the dinner with my dad and everything.
We talked for hours before I finally ended it by telling her about my plans for the weekend that was starting tomorrow. When I became friends with Chris, I kinda stopped hanging out with Em so I promised to make it up to her on Sunday.
That call literally drained me, she asked a lot of questions but I don't mind as I see her as my sister. Sending a quick text to Chris about my dinner with my dad and also of his invitation for him to visit, I plugged in my phone to sleep. As I turned, my phone started ringing, checking the caller id, I realized it was Chris and I picked it up smiling.
"Hey I thought you were sleeping that's why I sent you that text, I didn't want to disturb you" I said
"Nah, I couldn't sleep till I got a reply from you" He paused and said, "why would your dad want to see me?"
"Well..... I told him about you asking me out and he was excited to see the guy that is about to or already dating his only child" I said laughing
"OK, will 9 in the morning be good for us to meet?"
" I'll tell him tomorrow, he should be free by then since its weekend"
"9 it is then....I just wanted to hear your voice and I know you are tired so I'll let you rest....goodnight babe"
"Goodnight" I replied blushing. Will I ever get used to his voice???? I wondered before drifting off to a peaceful journey called sleep...

Yaaaaahhhhhhhh, finally another chapter update....I want to apologize for the late update, I was having some issues; phone issues and writer's block coupled with a little bit of laziness.
Now I am back and I hope to update more chapters.
