Michael's POV
I can't believe today is that day; it's like that one month just rushed past and now it's a reality.
I would be able to call Charlotte my wife- my legal wife. I couldn't sit still; hell, I can't stay still. I've not seen her in two days and I can't even start to imagine how she would look in her white dress walking down the aisle.
She would be all mine.
Now I sound like a possessive idiot
But honestly I couldn't wait. I was shocked when she told me she wanted a beach wedding; I was ready to spend whatever amount of money for her to get the best wedding but when she insisted that she just wanted a casual ceremony, nothing too serious.
I agreed instantly, anything to make her happy that I would do. I was worried about something though; ever since we left Paris after her phonecall with Christian, she has been really worried and sometimes having nightmares.
She had always been so happy and carefree and after that day, she had been a bit distant- sometimes zoning off whenever someone is talking to her or just staring into space till someone grabs her attention.
I didn't want anything to spoil her mood as the ceremony came closer and I told her I could wait for a little more time till she gets settled but she refused.
To make her feel safer, dad brought some security guards to secure the area. I didn't feel threatened by Christian but there was something about him that just didn't sit well with me.
I didn't even know I was lost in thought till a hand came waving in my face. I looked up to see my cousins laughing.
"I'm sure he's lost in thought about his wife-to-be"
"Nah, I think he just wants to skip the whole ceremony and proceed to the wedding night"
The whole room was filled with their laughter.
There, you've met my cousins. The one with the stupid comment is Diego. We were all dressed in shorts- I was dressed in a white shirt with white shorts while the guys were dressed with pale pink shirts and white shorts. The ceremony was as casual as anything and to be honest I think I'm starting to love it. I was tired of always wearing suits anyways.
Soon we were all prepared to go to the beach and we piled up into the car. Although I had been busy with work, I helped out in the decoration and everything and I knew what to expect but on getting to the destination, it was looking so beautiful and new to me. The guests were already there; my parents, my whole family and some friends.
We all got into our respective positions and soon enough the opening song that I picked alongside Charlotte started to play. It was a song that we both fell in love with and it kinda represented our relationship. We picked it for the bride to walk in.
Kay Kay came in first dressed in a little pink dress with white flowers all over holding a little basket that she was picking white flowers from to throw on the floor to compliment the pink flowers. The bridal train was next and soon enough, my princess was walking in next. My favourite part of the song came up;

She got to where I was when the song ended. There were tears in her eyes and also in mine. She was just too beautiful; clad in a white dress that hugged her waist and flowed to the ground with her hair in waves and her face made up and barefoot too with just pearls on her feet, she was all mine.
I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life.
The ceremony went on uneventfully and soon enough it was time to exchange the rings and say our vows.
I started;
"My love, you are my strength, my best friend, my lover and my everything. When I first set my eyes on you in the office, what made you stand out was your ability to keep everything together even when under pressure. I was attracted to your attitude to work, you were just so hardworking and so polite. You always had a word of encouragement for everyone and a smile to go with it. Looking at your smiling became my favourite thing to look forward to every day; your smile is like a ray of sunshine clearing away every dark clouds in my day. When I stopped seeing you at work for weeks, I got worried because since you had started working, you had not missed any day. I remember our first proper meeting and I'm sure you do to. You were just so beautiful wearing your PJ's and the way you were just staring at me, I felt like combusting. I think I fell a little deeper at that point and when you told me about your dad and you started crying, I felt in my heart that I would always want to protect you from every hurt that you would ever experience. I can't pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with you but I just knew that I never wanted to be apart from you and I still do now, nothing has changed and nothing is changing ever. I meant every word that I told your dad; I told him I was gonna protect you, care for you and be with you every step of the way till I draw my last breath. I'm never going against that and I pledge to stand by you always.
I know that in every marriage there are ups and downs but I promise that no matter what happens, I will always ensure to resolve each argument before we go to bed, I promise to be there for you and our children to be born, I promise to always be your best friend before your husband- the one you can always run to when you have issues to sort out, I promise to always serve you and bring my ego down for you, to be understanding and patient, to be your prince charming because you are my princess, to be everything you have expected and more. I can't promise not to hurt you but I promise to spend the rest of my life making up for the hurt and being with you till death do us part.
I promise to support you in your goals and not to look down at anyone of them. I want to conquer the world together with you and I promise to remain with you in sickness and in health, for better or for worse as long as we both shall live"
I looked at her in the eye with all the love and emotion I could muster as I said those words straight from my heart and it gladdened my heart that I could see the same emotions reflected in her eyes.
She said her own vows which brought me to tears and made me a crying mess.
How the hell did I find someone so perfect and beautiful.
It wasn't until we were asked to kiss that I realized that she was wearing a necklace I got her for the wedding hoping she was gonna wear it. She had been wearing her parents locket around her neck and hadn't taken it off for anything and I didn't expect her too but she did today. It made me so emotional and I grabbed her for the second time and kissed her.
She was officially mine now- Mrs Charlotte Stewart; my wife.
Everybody stood up and started clapping while throwing confetti at us. I pulled her closer to me while mumbling in her ears;
"You are my wife now Mrs Stewart"
She looked up at me with her dazzling blue eyes,
"Yes I am sweet husband"
"How did I get so lucky?" I asked in wonder
"I would say we are both lucky. I have a present for you later dear husband"
God, this girl was doing things to me without even knowing it.
I kissed her again severally before the party started.

I likeyyyyyyyyyy. I did not write Charlotte's vow because I was so lazy. I exhausted my strength writing that of Michael and when it came to her turn, my head was blank.
