Chapter 50
The next evening, Pietro took Dino back home. Luca felt upset about what had happened to Dino. He could have saved Dino from others, but how could he save him from his own stupidity? Every time Dino faced a problem, memories of losing his son haunted Luca like a curse. He wondered how Pietro would feel if something really bad happened to Dino. Luca knew that pain all too well. He was not fond of Pietro, but he didn't want him to experience the same heartache that he had endured.
Dino was resting on his bed when Don slowly entered the room, using his walking stick. Don sat on Dino's bed and didn't look angry; he appeared calm.
"Dino, how are you now?" Don asked kindly. Dino was surprised by his gentle tone.
"I'm okay now, Grandpa," Dino replied politely.
"Dino, we were so worried about you. We worried about you more than you think," Don said, and Dino felt guilty. It was all his fault. "Don't hurt Pietro this much, Dino. Well, Pietro caused me more trouble than you ever did. I punished him enough for that. But he's not like me. He worries so much about you. I haven't seen him act like that before," Don said calmly. Since Don didn't look angry, Dino didn't feel scared.
"I know, Grandpa. I'm sorry," Dino said, looking down.
"Next time, before you kiss a girl, make sure she didn't eat any shellfish first," Don said softly, squeezing Dino's shoulder before leaving the room. Dino's face flushed at what Don said. He wondered how many relatives already knew about his kiss. He covered his face with his hands and groaned, thinking about it.
Dino's phone buzzed with a notification, and he checked it. It was May, and he saw that Kacper had also sent him some messages. He had been sleeping most of the time while in the hospital, so he hadn't checked his phone.
"Hey baby, how are you feeling now?" May's message made Dino blush, and a smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
"I came home. Feeling better now. Everyone knows about our kiss 😣," Dino typed back.
"Lol," May replied.
Dino noticed a message from an unknown number and opened it.
"Hey Dino, it's me, Rosi. I heard you had an allergy and were taken to the hospital. Hope you're okay. I was worried. Kacper gave me your number," Dino read the message.
"I'm okay, Rosi. I'm at home. Thanks for checking 🙂," Dino replied and saved Rosi's number in his phone.
"Dino, I gave your number to Rosi. She worried about you. Is that okay? Sorry, I should have asked first, but you didn't reply," Kacper's message read.
"That's fine. I came home. Everyone knows about our kiss :/. So embarrassing," Dino sent back.
"What are you talking about? Our kiss? We didn't kiss 😮. Why do they think we kissed?" Kacper replied.
"Err, not us, stupid. It's me and May," Dino quickly replied.
"Oh... sorry. That's bad. Well, Natisha and I also kissed, but no one knows about that. Hikz," Kacper sent another message.
"That's because you don't have a stupid allergy like me," Dino replied.
"I can't believe you did something so stupid," Kacper responded.
"I forgot, okay?" Dino replied.
"You forget everything when you see May, even your allergies. Lol," Kacper joked.
"Lol. Very funny," Dino replied.

After Dino completely healed, he went back to school and did his usual activities. He met May every day after school, and they had already kissed enough for a lifetime. Everyone knew they were dating, thanks to Dino's stupidity, which made both May's family and Dino's family aware of their relationship.
The boys from St. Aldric School went to see the concert at Rosewood Academy one evening. The girls' school was a bit smaller than the boys' school but more beautiful, filled with flowers that gave it a fairy tale vibe.
"Wow, this school is beautiful," Kacper said, looking around.
"Just like the girls in this school," Dino replied, scanning the area for May.
"You mean May?" Kacper said, smiling.
"Yeah. The most beautiful girl in this school," Dino said.
"Actually, it's Natisha," Kacper countered.
"Hmm... nope," Dino said, and both of them laughed.
Dino received a message on his phone, and it was from May.
"She's in the changing room," Dino said, reading the message.
"That means we can't meet them before the event starts," Kacper replied.
"I don't think so. I think she wants to see me before the event starts," Dino said.
"Dino, are you trying to do something stupid again? You know I'm not used to this kind of stuff," Kacper said with a worried tone.
"Don't worry. We're not going to get caught. She said they are in the corner room of that building," Dino assured him. "Come on, let's go before the others see us." Dino then sneaked away from the boys.
"Dino," Kacper murmured angrily as he followed him.
Dino and Kacper approached the corner of the building, hiding among the bushes. It was already getting dark, making it easy to conceal themselves in the shadows.
They hid near a bush by the changing room that May had mentioned. Dino called May.
"Hey, are you alone there?" Dino asked.
He received the perfect answer: "Yes, why?" May replied.
"Perfect!" Dino said with excitement. He couldn't believe his luck.
"Hey, she's alone. I'll come in a minute," Dino said before going inside the room.
"Oh Dino, you scared me!" May exclaimed, shocked to see a boy come inside. She was already dressed up and wearing makeup. Her hair was styled differently, making her look even more beautiful.
"Wow, you look different. I feel jealous of your partner," Dino said.
"Well, you didn't learn how to dance," May replied in a fake angry tone.
Dino playfully grabbed her and kissed her while May giggled. "Oh, don't mess up my makeup," she said, still laughing.
"Okay. I have to leave now before someone catches me," Dino said, heading for the door as May smiled at him while he left.
Dino quickly joined Kacper, who was hiding behind a bush, sweating and afraid of getting caught. Kacper was not used to doing mischievous things. For Dino, it was in his DNA, so no one could stop him—not even himself.
"Thank God you came before someone saw me," Kacper said. "What's on your lips?" he asked.
"What?" Dino replied, touching his lips. Kacper opened the front camera on his phone and showed Dino his face, which had May's lipstick on it.
"Oh, shit!" Dino exclaimed, rubbing his lips with his white shirt underneath his black coat.
"You just ruined your white shirt," Kacper said in disbelief.
"Okay, let's go," Dino said, not caring.
They joined the boys before anyone caught them.

Once again, Dino and Kacper went to the mall as usual. Although they had girlfriends, they still enjoyed their bro time. Normally, they looked for new shoes, watches, and things like that. They loved trying different foods. Kacper was the one who always asked the waitress if the food had shellfish to keep Dino safe—more than Dino did himself.
"Thanks, Kacper. I almost forgot to ask about shellfish," Dino said, surprised when Kacper reminded him.
"Dino, you got sick a few weeks ago. Didn't you learn anything?" Kacper snapped.
"I didn't forget! I said I almost forgot," Dino defended himself.
"Why don't you get a tattoo on your forehead saying, 'I'm allergic to seafood' so everyone is safe?" Kacper said angrily.
"That's a good idea," Dino joked.
"Come on, man. I'm not joking," Kacper replied, still upset.
"I didn't forget. I almost forgot. But I didn't forget. Don't get mad at me, bro. I'm not that stupid," Dino insisted. He ordered food made with chicken, and Kacper avoided ordering seafood because of Dino.
"Yo, why didn't you order lobster?" Dino asked, surprised.
"Well, you're allergic to it," Kacper replied.
"But we're not going to kiss, so it's fine," Dino smirked.
"What if you grab something from my plate like an idiot, eat it, and then say, 'Oh, I forgot'?" Kacper said, changing his voice in a funny way. Dino laughed.
After they finished lunch, they were about to leave the store when they met Rosi and Lola.
"Oh my gosh, Dino!" Rosi exclaimed as she saw him and gave him an unexpected hug. She held him for a few seconds before releasing him.
"How do you feel now, son? Kacper said you got sick," Rosi asked, looking at Dino's face carefully.
"I'm good now," Dino said.
"I was so worried about you. It's good to see you again," Rosi said, her facial expression serious as she showed her concern for Dino.
"Thanks, Rosi," Dino replied.
"Be careful next time," Rosi said. Dino and Kacper said goodbye to Rosi and Lola before heading to their cars.
Meanwhile, Luca was staring at Dino as he ate an ice cream. He wondered who the woman was and why she hugged Dino. Was she a relative? But Luca had never seen her before. Then it came to him: Dino had hit her car. But why did she hug him? Luca wondered.
As soon as Pietro came home, Luca told him the gossip about the woman.
"What?" Pietro asked, surprised.
"Yes, boss. I don't know why she did that. I didn't hear what they were talking about. Nothing bad happened, so I didn't intervene. If she tried to do something bad, you know it would be the end for her," Luca said.
"Calm down, Luca. You can't finish people like that," Pietro said firmly.
"Sorry, boss," Luca replied, though his face didn't show any sign of apology.
"I'll ask Dino what happened," Pietro said and went to Dino's room. Dino was studying when Pietro entered. He was so focused on his math problems that he didn't hear Pietro come in. It felt like if he didn't finish today, the world would end right away.
"Dino, I need to talk with you," Pietro said. He didn't bother to ask, "Are you busy, son? Can we talk?" No, Pietro was not that type of father.
"Papa, I don't think I did anything wrong this time," Dino said, thinking hard.
"Who's the woman you met today at the mall?" Pietro asked.
"Papa, it's not a woman. It's Kacper, my friend," Dino replied, his eyes wide with surprise. He wondered how Pietro could misunderstand Kacper as a woman. Kacper had no features similar to a woman at all.
"Dino, I'm not talking about Kacper. Luca said a woman hugged you at the mall," Pietro clarified.
"Ahhh... that's Rosi. I crashed her friend's car once," Dino said.
"Why did she hug you?" Pietro asked.
"Kacper told her what happened to me, so she was glad I'm not dead," Dino replied.
"DINO," Pietro said angrily. The word 'dead' seemed to hit a nerve.
"Sorry, Papa. She was just glad I'm okay," Dino explained. Pietro stayed silent for a few seconds until his anger subsided a bit.
"I don't understand. Why did Kacper need to tell her about you?" Pietro asked, sounding accusatory.
"Oh, when May called Kacper, she was also there, and that's how it happened," Dino said.
"How the hell does she meet you two all the time?" Pietro snapped.
"Papa, she moved here. She's single. Maybe she has a boyfriend; I don't know. She doesn't have a husband or children. Her friend is the same. All they do is shop and go here and there. Sometimes, on the weekends, we run into her because she comes to have lunch at the same place we go," Dino explained.
"Hmm... next time, don't let strangers hug you. Oh gosh, Dino. Why am I telling you this like you're a little kid?" Pietro said.
Dino understood what Pietro was worried about. "Papa, it's not something like that. She was just a bit worried," he said.
"If you don't want Luca to follow you forever, prove to me that you're ready for that," Pietro said firmly before leaving the room after ruffling Dino's hair.
