The way the sun would make your eyes shine like stars will always stay in my head like a picture taken, framed and hung up at the wall. 

Your steps were as light as feathers, barely noticeable when you walked through that flower field because you could not stand the idea of destroying just one of those beautiful petals.

But they were nothing compared to you. 

You loved the smell of freshly baked cookies as much as I did the sense of your perfume. A mix of orange and sandalwood reminding me of the first day of spring. The way that small smile tucked at the corner of your lips while you told be about the sea and all the shells you collected there made my heart flutter. 

I will preserve those moments even though I already know that I will cut myself on those memories later, like they are sharp shards of a broken bottle.
