"Dang ol Gribble we're going camping, get the dang beer ready man." Boomhauer said. "Isn't that Bill's job?" Dale asked. "Dang ol Bill was more excited getting them ol marshmallows, ol chocolate and ol biscuits man." Boomhauer said. "Well fine." Dale said as he reached over at Boomhauer's fridge. "What are y'doing man?" Boomhauer asked. "Since I don't want to buy beer might as well use these to save money." Dale replied. "Dang ol Gribble!" Boomhauer shouted as he chased Dale.

Dale and Boomhauer ran in the circles, however, Dale tripped and Boomhauer fell on top of him. "give me m'dang beer back man!" Boomhauer said, feeling warm at the position they were in. "Never!" Dale said as he puffed smoke at Boomhauer's face. Luckily for Dale someone knocked at the door. "Boomhauer! Dale! We're leaving for the camping now, get here quick before I kick your asses!" Hank said.

"Don't worry Hank I got the beer." Dale said as he ran past Boomhauer. "Dang ol Gribble..." Boomhauer said as he shook his head. The guys were ready for their trip. Bill was gushing about the s'mores, Dale was deep in his thoughts, Hank was looking for a good forest to be in, and Boomhauer was playing the harmonica.

"Okay, we're here now! Get the stuff out!" Hank said. "Bill and I will get the logs to make the campsite. Boomhauer, you and Dale will set up the tents."I forgot to bring my tent." Dale said nonchalantly. "Dang it Dale!" Hank said
"Come on Hank... it's getting dark out." Bill said. Hank nodded as he followed Bill to get the wood.

Dale and Boomhauer were able to set up the tents. "Damn it where am I going to sleep..."Dale said as he took a puff. "If y'didn't steal beer, you could've been sharing it with me, man." Boomhauer said. "Well did I look like I had any choice? I was too tired to get beer." Dale said. Boomhauer sighed. "Dang ol Gribble. fine man." Boomhauer said. Dale looked at Boomhauer. "Really? Even with the beer thing?" Dale asked. "Mhmm." Boomhauer said as he nodded. "Thanks Boomhauer." Dale said as he flashed him a small smile. Boomhauer felt himself getting warm. That's quite odd, what's with this feeling he's been getting? Boomhauer rubbed the thought off.

"Wow, it looks good guys." Hank said as he put the wood on the ground, lighting it up. "Yippee! It's s'mores time!" Bill said as he got the sticks out and put marshmallows in them.
"Dang ol hungry man." Boomhauer said as he sat with Bill and Hank. Dale just looked, this was the exact same place he took Joseph hunting. That's when Nancy and Redcorn were at it. He remembered when he told Nancy he was leaving for camping, she was happy and wanted him to go. Dale sighed when he's getting more hints now. He was supposed to have a good time with his friends but his mind keeps on wondering to his obliviousness.

"Dale! Get here and have some s'mores and beer!" Hank said which put a halt on Dale's thoughts. Unfortunately, Dale wasn't in the mood, he had to make an excuse. "Wish I could but I'm not feeling to well. I'll be in the tent, I'll see you guys in the morning." Dale said as he went in the tent. The boys just looked at eachother and believed Dale, except Boomhauer.

Dale wished his mind would stop bothering him about this. He's not with Nancy. He's away from her. More hints keep on knocking him out. Nancy wasn't excited for their dinner date. She entered with John Redcorn when Dale spent the whole time planning her birthday surprise. His heart kept on aching as he breathed heavily. He tried smoking more cigarettes to calm him down. He's becoming worse than Bill. This is not okay.

Dale brought his knees closer. She never cared about him. She only left a carton of cigarettes for lunch and dinner. She never loved Dale. He's not sure if she loves him now. Dale let his feelings out, his tears coming out. He sobbed quietly as more hints kept on coming. The majority of their years of marriage meant nothing to her. He can't stop thinking about her. He can't stop thinking about him being stupid. How was he able to compete with John Redcorn? That's who Joseph got his athletic abilities from. Dale knew that from his thoughts but he pushed it away. He always pushed everything away.

Boomhauer made sure not to make a noise when he entered the tent. He saw a lot of beer cans around Dale. "Dang ol Gribble..." Boomhauer said in a hushed tone. Boomhauer heard hiccups and sobbing. He saw Dale was a huge mess. He was crying uncontrollably as he rocked back and forth.

Boomhauer never saw this state of Dale. He sat next to him. "Dang ol Gribble y'okay man?" Boomhauer asked in concern. Dale stopped rocking and revealed himself to Boomhauer. His eyes were puffy and red from all that crying. His brown orbs still illuminating despite his red eyes. "It's that pathetic *hic* that a middle aged *hic* man is crying *hic* uncontrollably." Dale said. "Dang ol Gribble c'mere." Boomhauer said as he spread his arms. Dale looked at Boomhauer and then slowly joined him. Boomhauer patted Dale as he let everything out. Boomhauer never had any urge to extend his arms like that.

He would've given advice since that's something he does well, but this situation is different. Nancy really meant something to him, and now without her he's a wreck. Their embrace felt comforting, to both of them.

All the crying stopped when he saw Dale asleep peacefully. Boomhauer laid him down on his sleeping hag and zipped him up. Boomhauer got his sleeping bag and zipped himself. It was a long day. Dale was fine, they were literally chasing eachother and now Dale is wrecked.
He wished Dale would stop thinking about Nancy, she simply isn't worth his tears at all. She was never worth it at all.

Dale unknowingly turned around and faced Boomhauer while asleep. Boomhauer felt his warm breath on his face. Boomhauer just stared at Dale as he peacefully slept. Boomhauer sighed as he turned to the other side. He just hopes more days for Dale don't get worse. He just hopes Dale forgets about Nancy. He just hopes Dale gets better and be himself again. Boomhauer loved it when Dale would be his cheery old self with his conspiracy theories that would be ridiculous, to the extent that Boomhauer would have to roll his eyes.

But that doesn't matter, as long as Dale was with him, It's all that mattered for him, after all, he's always loved being around him. He always has been
