"Is everyone ready?" Hank asked his friends.
"Yep." Dale said
"Yep!" Followed by Bill
"Mhmm." Boomhauer said.

"I'll drop Dale and Boomhauer to the court. Bill, do you have a place to go?" Hank asked. "Maybe a diner would be nice." Bill said. "Forget I even asked you." Hank said as he shook his head. They were all seated up and ready to go. Hank dropped off Boomhauer and Dale at the court, signaling them good luck. Hank soon drove away as Bill kept on begging Hank to take him to a diner.

Dale and Boomhauer entered the court. "Your honor!" I demand papers of divorce!" Dale shouted. The judge immediately recognized the man. The judge leaned towards a guard. "Fetch the papers now I don't want to deal with him after that tobacco thing." The judge whispered to the guard.

"Ah. Welcome back, Rusty Shackleford!" The judge said as he got the papers from the guard. "Just fill the necessary data needed and this will be delivered to your spouse personally by the guard." The judge said. "That's good." Dale said as he got his pen out. It took Dale some time, but he filled every detail carefully. "Here you go your honor" Dale said as he handed the judge the papers. "Great. Now take the guard with you to your home address and the guard will deliver it." The judge said as he handed the guard the papers. "come on man." Boomhauer said as he led the guard behind him and Dale.

"Okay. Here's the deal. I'm living with my friend here." Dale said as he pointed at Boomhauer. "Now you gotta make sure she signs it." Dale said. The guard nodded. Sometime later, Boomhauer and Dale were able to lead the guard to Dale's home. Boomhauer and Dale headed to Boomhauer's house, as he saw how tired Dale was.

The guard knocked on the door. Nancy opened the door. "Are you Nancy Hicks Gribble?" The guard asked. Nancy nodded. "I have divorce papers here delivered by your husband. You must sign this in order for me to leave the property." The guard said. Nancy was in disbelief, but she already caused Dale enough trouble. Nancy sighed, trying her best not to crack as she sighed the papers. "Thank you for your service ma'am." The guard said as he went back to the court to deliver the papers. Nancy closed the door. Nancy felt herself crying. She lost Dale... forever.
...............................

"I'm proud of y'man." Boomhauer said. "It's not over yet Boomhauer, it'll take some time." Dale said as he took a puff. "don't worry man. I'll try t'convince them t'make t'ol progress faster man." Boomhauer said. "Really? You'd do that for me?" Dale asked. "Mhmm. Of course man." Boomhauer said as he paused, giving a smile to Dale. "I work fer t'law enforcement as an ol Texas ranger man." Boomhauer said. "Thanks, Boomhauer, I can't thank you enough." Dale said.

"Y'in a good mood gribble man?" Boomhauer asked Dale. "It depends. Why are you asking?" Dale asked him as he looked at Boomhauer.
"I jus wanted y'know how y'are feeling, after t'signing." Boomhauer said. " I feel a little empty, but maybe everything will be okay."Dale said. "Boomhauer nodded. "Y'know what, I'm going for a meeting in the gun club. Wanna join me? I'm also taking Joseph with me." Dale said as he looked at the watch. "sure man." Boomhauer said as he headed with Dale. Dale went towards the house to get Joseph. Dale knocked on the door. He was hoping Joseph would answer it. Unfortunately for Dale, It was Nancy.

"Shug? What do you want?" Nancy asked. "I want to take Joseph with me to the gun club." Dale said. "Shug. Why didn't you give us another chance? why did you file for divorce?" Nancy asked as her voice cracked. "Nancy, I loved you. Doing this was not an easy task. But, We've been together for so many years, each year being one more chance, but you broke them, year after year." Dale said. Nancy felt like her heart got broken. "This is better for us Nancy." He said as he held her hands. "I'm sorry." Dale said. Nancy looked down. "You have nothing to apologize for Shug. I'll go call Joseph." Nancy said as her tears fell. Dale felt bad, but this was for the best. Joseph saw his dad waiting for him. "Dad!" Joseph said as he hugged him. "Hey there Joseph, ready to go to the gun club?" Dale asked as he patted his head. "More than ever dad." Joseph said as he went towards Dale's truck. "Goodbye, Nancy Hicks." Dale said as he left the porch. "Goodbye Dale Gribble." Nancy said as she wiped her tears.

Joseph got on Dale's truck. He saw Boomhauer sitting there. "Hi, Mr.Boomhauer." Boomhauer turned around. "Hey there man."Mr. Boomhauer said. "You're going to the gun club too?" Joseph asked. "Mhmm." Boomhauer said. "I always wondered... how are you able to pick up girls? I always have trouble with them!" Joseph said with a sigh. Boomhauer looked around. "promise y'won't tell anyone Joseph man?" Boomhauer said. Joseph got intrigued. "promise!" Joseph said, desperate to know the secret. "alright man. find a women's dang shoe-store man. use pick up lines then y'done man." Boomhauer said. "wow, I hope it works for me. Thanks Mr.Boomhauer!" Joseph said. "no dang problem." Boomhauer said, giving a smile to the kid.

Soon enough Dale got in the truck. "What were you two talking about?" Dale asked. "Oh well, Mr.Boomhauer told me about picking up women from a shoe store!" Joseph said, forgetting that it was a secret. "Dang ol Joseph! that was a secret man!" Boomhauer said as he facepalmed. "Whoops..." Joseph said sheepishly. Dale began to giggle. "From a shoe store? I expected better from you Boomhauer!" Dale said as he kept on giggling . "shut it, man." Boomhauer said as he looked away with his face warming up. Dale kept on giggling as he began to drove towards the club. Boomhauer hasn't heard Dale laughing like that in such a long time. And He found himself smiling.
