Monster
Pidge P.O.V
3:52 A.M
A light. A sign. Something, was all Pidge wanted, she wanted a sign to tell her everything was going to be ok. Every inch of her body ached, she felt her lip, which was throbbing. She felt a very deep cut on her bottom lip, large enough to need stitches, she had a busted eye, a variety of large cuts on her legs, and she busted both her hands open. She didn't know how long she had been here. It had felt like years, she knew it had only been days, weeks even. Her eye was throbbing immensely and blood covered her hands.
Her uniform was destroyed, the fabrics and flexible attire were ripped and torn to no end, but the worst part. Her glasses. Gone. Shattered. There were Matts glasses on the floor, shattered. With as much energy as she could muster up, she crawled to the broken glass, nothing hurt more than the feeling of losing this sentimental item, she felt hot tears well up in her eyes, but she blinked them away.
"well, well, look whos not dead."
The high, wicked voice of Ezor pierced Pidges ears as she forced herself to get up, Pidge leaned up against the wall, it was cold. so cold she could see her breath in front of her as she exhaled sharply.
"Not yet..."
Pidge managed to say, her voice was hoarse and quiet. Ezor put a hand on her hip and laughed slightly, a wicked sneer of a laugh. Pidge felt a chill go down her spine as Ezor moved dangerously close.
"Quadrant 4, Sector 65. 34. 900"
The cloaked figure moved silently within the ships halls, loaded with sentries and guards. Defiantly the most guarded Galra prison in this quadrant. She moved quickly but quietly through the dark eerie halls and hangars, She pulled her hood down further as she crossed across the main hangar. Full of guards, ships, pods, and everything in between. The lethal figure maneuvered between the escape pods were her supplies were places. She made it inside the pod unnoticed.
"Pod breached, getting supplies now, do you copy?"
"Affirmative, now, I'm sending coordinates to The prisoners location. Remember, don't engage. Get in get out."
"Yeah yeah Colivan, over and out."
The female looked at the bag of supplies, her blade, a few explosives, a canteen of water, and some, what looked like traditional earth foods. She sighed and took the surprisingly light bag with her. As silently as she came, the female followed the coordinates given to her.
"Hmm, heavily guarded with major security...nothin I can't handle."
The female slipped by casually walked passed the guards, waiting for the right time to strike and go in for the kill.
"Hey! Who are you?! Wha-"
the guards wail was cut off as she punched the guard in the stomach and kicking the other one in the jaw. both Galra guards lying on the floor, she knocked both of the guards heads together and made it clear she had weapons on her, and with a final words she said.
"Tell no one. And maybe I'll spare your life in the long run."
The guards frantic nods gave her the satisfaction of victory, she took one of the guards hands and placed it on the scanner. The door slid open as the lethal female dropped the guards hand carelessly, the mask she wore was getting stuffy, she took off her hood and cracked her neck. She heard voices coming from the far end of the hall. Faint, but still there, something about how the hall echoed and how her stepped seemed to follow her made her breathing unsteady. She took 3 deep breathes and continued walking.
'I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid...'
She thought to herself as she reached the far end of the hall, extra careful not to attract any attention to herself. The canteen of water was tempting, but she knew it wasn't for her. she held her breath as she crossed the hall. She was supposed to meet another member of the Marmora along the way, Colivan hadn't given her the information on who she was but apparently, they were a spy that got information on the prisoner from the inside.
"Number 375822 do you copy? I repeat number 375822 do you copy?"
The female had said in the quietest voice she could muster, no response. She had a sickening feeling in her stomach, she would travel more down the halls until she ran into them. The voices grew closer as the female moved down the hall stealthily,
"Not yet...."
She had heard a faint, quiet voice say clearly.
'Good, I'm getting close...'
She was caught by surprise when a soft hand touched her shoulder. Her immediate action was to pull out her blade and shred whoever was behind her.
"Chill, chill. It's just me."
She lowered her blade as the Galra female stood stiff.
"Colivan sent me to accompany you on your mission. Sorry I'm late by the way. I had some...business to take care of..."
"It's fine."
She wasn't at all concerned for why she was late. Just as the female turned around, the Galra once again turned her around only to stick out her hand.
"Lazhara."
The female shook her hand, but did not say her name. She felt she had to trust this blade before giving her information. To her surprise, and relief, Lazhra didn't ask for her name.
"I'll take care of breaching the security and leading you to the prisoner. You wait in the nearest hangar until I give further instructions. Got it?"
The female scowled, she wouldn't be the one taking orders under any circumstances, and especially not from a galra.
"I'm not taking orders from you."
Lazhra shrugged her shoulders and her blade activated.
"Fine, not listening to me is suicide. If you want to go in blind it isn't my problem."
Lazhra stalked off as the lethal female let out a snort of annoyance and defeat. She followed orders and headed to the nearest hangar and awaited instructions from Lazhra.
Lazhra P.O.V
She didn't feel bad about being so brash to the fellow blade. She had been given orders and had been expected to follow them. She hadn't told Lazhra her name. She had respected that, always be cautious around new comers. She had soon reached the communications center. Only a few sentries to take out, nothing hard. She hacked into the computer system and got both the Marmorians coordinates and the prisoners coordinates.
"Ok. I'm in, walk down the long hallway and turn left. There should be a prisoner hallway and a pod waiting for you in the hangar 2 floors below you, got it?"
"Yeah, got it. there are 2 long hallways the fork off in 2 different directions."
She was right. The hallway was split into 2, the left and right hallways had a group of about 50 sentries, coming her way.
"Um, Lazhra. There are sentries coming my way what should I-"
"I'm on it, I'm on it."
Her plan was to shut down the prisons communications, electricity, and send interference to any other Galra bases nearby. She had already locked the door, even the scanner wouldn't open the door.
"Ok, I've shut down all communications, electricity, and sent interference for 50 doboushes. Get in, get out. Go down the left hallway. That will fork off into 3 different hallways take the middle one and lock the door behind youso that whoever is in there, Can't send in reinforcements."
Lazhra explained as, according to the tracker, the blade was following directions clearly. She had gone down the third hallway and needed further instructions.
"Ok, the 24th cell should be it. Be. cautious. There might be-"
"Someone in there with her, I know."
Lazhra sighed, she had been correct when she had said someone had been with her. A warlord who had recently taken over, Ezor, had been in the cell with her. She held her breath as the fellow blade approached the cell slowly.
"Ezor. Ezor is in there. I'm going in with you."
"What no you ca-"
Lazhra had already started to run down the halls blindly before she could finish. She soon arrived t the hall next to the female.
"How much pain must I put you through to make you talk!"
Lazhra heard the blade beside her, her breath shook unevenly as she exhaled sharply. Lazhra activated her blade before running in to the cell face to face with the green paladin of Voltron and one of the strongest warlords the empire has ever seen.
Pidge P.O.V
She couldn't see, she couldn't breath! Her lungs burned and her whole body was throbbing with pain.
"Lay off Ezor!"
an unfamiliar voice echoed throughout the cell, through her mind. She hadn't remembered anything from those moments. It was black and cold, she had seen blood and weapons, but that was all. Nothing special, she tried getting up numerous times, but failed every attempt.
"Zethrid! Zethrid do you copy?!"
quiet and unfocused, her vision was blurry and she couldn't hear anything. She had seen the familiar mark of the Blade of Marmora but, that was probably the only thing she recognized.
"Don't let her esca..."
the first female voice trailed off, the thick British accent echoed and faint. The second voice however seemed clearer.
"Stop, let her go. We'll only waste time."
Pidge opened her eyes slightly, with the last bit of effort she had she asked.
"Wh-who are you...?"
The other female, knelt down and said in a calm, soothing voice.
"We've come for you Katie."
