My Dearest Brother
She wasn’t sure what she was supposed to do. These eyes… they held all the pain and suffering that she knew the brothers didn’t want to see… Her deep ebony orbs scanned the skyline and took in the sight of the late noon skyline. The trees were dark but the sky was littered with the pinks of the late afternoon sunset. Her dark eyes flickered to the doorway of the small house she had claimed as her own.
Madara watched her from the steps with a concerned look. “Good evening, Madara.” She greeted and he offered a small nod. His eye still wouldn’t quite meet hers. That was alright though. She would gain his respect back today. She would have all his attention once more when the Senju were all dead. The ill intent quite possibly flickered through her gaze because his lips twitched downwards.
“So when do we depart?” she asked softly, her eyes not meeting his, but instead landing on his lips so she could still see what emotion he was showing her, but she didn’t have to meet those saddened eyes. “We leave the moment Izuna gives the signal. Are you ready Hinata?” He asked and she nodded. She’d been awaiting this all day. He nodded at her and turned to face the direction Izuna was hiding from the clan.
The flash of red in the distance told them he was ready. It was a subtle flash of red, one that they knew could only be seen if you were searching for it. She stood and followed the brothers swiftly into the surrounding woods. They skulked for the woods for about an hour before they had reached their destination… the Senju estate. Not a single candle was lit within the walls of the estate. The utterly extreme darkness would have been unsettling in their own home, but here… it was the perfect setting for them though. The darkness that surrounded them would better conceal them.
Hinata followed behind Madara and Izuna silently, they seemed to know where they were going. They looked back at one another and motioned for each other to split off and hit a house. They each nodded at one another before vanishing from the other’s sight. Hinata slipped into one of the larger houses and snuck into what appeared to be the medical ward. She eyed the empty doorway that had Nursing bunks on a small sign above the doorway. She slipped a few senbon from her hip pouch and dipped them in a small vial of poison she had created just for this purpose.
She flicked said senbon into a random body part of each of the medics. Their eyes all shot wide open and their mouths fell agape. The excruciating pain showed in their fearful eyes and Hinata watched with a mild interest as the medics tried to heal themselves but found themselves spreading the debilitating poison through their systems twice as fast. The main medic was starting to extract a bit of the poison but Hinata strolled over to him and placed her hands on his cheeks. Her once soft eyes had become harsh and cold. The man stopped struggling against her and his attempt to remove the poison was halted. He knew why she was doing this… and he didn’t want to fight against her anymore.
He knew the clan had been overly cruel to her and the Uchiha. He knew that they had ruined the innocent woman. She had come to them under the guise of a man, but she had been a great ally… She had been a wonderful caretaker until Butsuma had ruined her. He relaxed as her cheeks began to swell. This was going to be the end for him and he knew it. Despite his pain he lay flat against his bed and awaited the oncoming burst of water. When it did come, it came swiftly and filled both his nose and mouth rapidly. There was no chance he would come out of this.
Hinata cut the flow of water once the man had gone limp. The female medics surrounding him had already gone limp moments before. Hinata supposed that she should have felt some sort of guilt, judging by the look in the man’s eyes, however she felt none. They all deserved this, every last one of them. They all deserved it for what they had done to Tajima and Aurora. They had murdered two wonderful people without remorse and she was going to do the same to each and every Senju clan member she got a hold of. She trudged back towards the back room of the medical lodge and the hair on the back of her neck stood on end. She crouched and glanced around her.
Her brows furrowed, she didn’t see or hear anyone nearby… she continued to stay crouched as she edged closer to the room at the end of the hall. There was someone in there. Someone she felt she needed to target and swiftly. She pushed the door of the room open and her eyes filled with rage as she stood and hovered over the patient in the bed.
“Butsuma… Senju…” her voice came out as an enraged hiss. She pulled a Kunai from her pouch and rushed to embed it in his neck, but someone grabbed her from behind and threw her against the floor. The impact made her eyes go wide and she began to gasp for air. When no air would reach her lungs she became frantic. She looked up into enraged red eyes as she gaped like a fish out of water. Tobirama Senju had found them out. When the rush of air finally hit her lungs he was already cutting it off once more.
The large hands around her throat were unforgiving. “You little bitch!” he snarled and she struggled to pull his hands from around her throat. She threw her head forward and collided with his. He released her, but she wasn’t unharmed. The blood trickled down her forehead and she lunged for him. He regained his senses and rolled out of her way. Their tussle had found its way outside via the window. The both of them had cuts and deep gashes littering their forms from the trip out the window.
He lunged at her once more and the threw him to the ground, her eyes blaring red. His own blaring eyes narrowed at her. “Is this your revenge?” attack a recuperating clan leader?” he hissed and she gave him a blank stare, she was going to spare him no emotion. She had no reason to. “Butsuma caused this. There is no reason for you to die as well, Tobirama.” She said with that same blank stare, her voice holding no pity for him whatsoever. “So you think that if you kill him that this will end our family’s feud?” He hissed and she cocked her head to the side.
“It will never end. You bastard Uchiha have no right to walk this earth. You have no right to breathe the air we breathe. You’re wicked disgusting creatures.” He snarled and she lunged for him. ”What right do you have to determine who lives or dies?!” she screeched and her fist connected with his cheek. He recoiled and then lunged back at her, grabbing her wrist and sending her spiraling to the ground. She rolled away from his next hit and dropped to the familiar Hyuuga stance. She couldn’t see the chakra points, so even if she could still try to use the gentle fist she would be blindly striking, and Tobirama knew this.
And that was what had made her ten times more dangerous by trying to use it. Accuracy was not her intent as she rushed at him. She was in a blind rage. Her fingertips were throwing large amounts of chakra wherever they touched. She grazed his shoulder and the armor blasted off. He took advantage of her anger and struck her hard in the gut, only for her form to burst into a blob of water. He felt the movement of the wind behind him and he flickered out of her way. She continued her onslaught once more and he watched her with cautious eyes. He struck swiftly and deftly when he had seen the opening she had so graciously given him. He punched straight down on the back of her neck and her body went limp as she crumpled lifelessly to the ground.
“You’re so reckless…” he muttered and hefted her up. Tobirama heard sounds of fighting and the thick smell of blood. He followed the sound to where he knew his brother would be, Hinata still slung over his shoulder. Why carry her with him? Because he knew who she had come here with. He knew she was their weakness. He knew that if they thought she was dead they would act irrationally.
That’s why he dropped her right where they could see her.

Madara and Izuna crept deftly from house to house, killing any and all Senju they could find. The brothers ended up running into each other outside of the main house and they exchanged glances. Their eyes narrowed at one another when they felt Hinata’s chakra jolt. “Fuck.” Izuna swore and Madara frowned deeply. That was when they heard the glass shatter and they knew their cover was completely blown.
A massive chakra was barreling towards them so they took off running to lead it out into the open. Madara knew who it was. He could tell from the slightest sensation of that chakra that it was Hashirama. The roots burst through the tree line and the brothers rolled to avoid them. Madara and Izuna looked up at the enraged brunette who had tears streaming down his face. “What have you fools done! What were you idiots thinking!” he bellowed, his enraged tone catching the brothers off guard. “Just a little longer… Couldn’t you have waited just a little longer?” he snarled. “What would we wait longer for? So you could all regain your strength? Do you take us for idiots?” Izuna snarled and Madara glared at the Senju.
“YES!!!” he roared and pointed at Madara. “You are a fool! The clan had all agreed to let bygones be bygones. But you idiots slaughtered so many and ruined this for everyone!” Hashirama bellowed, the tears still streaming down his cheeks. “Madara don’t listen to him, he’s just trying to fool you.” Izuna whispered and Madara nodded as he fell into an offensive stance. Hashirama watched the brothers in rage. He had worked so hard to get the clan to listen to him and Madara went and proved to them that the brothers are exactly as the clan thought them to be. Ruthless murderers.
Tobirama landed beside Hashirama and eyed the brothers warily. “Hashirama… She is here as well.” He said and Hashirama’s eyes softened slightly. Hinata… His frown deepened as he listened to what his brother was telling him. Izuna lunged for Tobirama the moment Hinata’s name had left his lips. “You leave her alone!” he snarled, causing Tobirama to swiftly pull his blade to parry Izuna’s slash. “If she is a murderer she will suffer the same fate as all of you will. Except she will suffer a lot more than you will. Her death will be most unpleasant due to the fact she had once been a welcomed guest in the senju household. Her treason will not be handled lightly.” Tobirama said and Izuna went into a rampage.
That was exactly what Tobirama had wanted, however. Madara watched as his brother relentlessly attacked the Senju. Hashirama began trying to plead with Madara, but the ebony haired man was going to have none of it and lunged at the Brunette male. Hashirama and Madara were locked in a fierce battle of hand to hand combat when a heavy thump caught their attention and they paused to look over to the source of the noise.
The Tobirama clone had dropped Hinata unceremoniously on the ground beside him. “Hinata!” Izuna yelled and rushed at Tobirama in yet another fit of rage. Izuna was thrown back across the small clearing and Madara looked to see if he was ok and Hashirama lunged for him. He saw Izuna get up out of the corner of his eye so he breathed a small sigh of relief but that relief was cut short when he saw him lunge back for Tobirama. His eyes landed on Hinata, Whose eyes were starting to flutter open. From there, everything happened so fast he couldn’t completely comprehend it.

Hinata’s eyes began to flutter open and the first thing she noticed was that she was basically eating dirt. The second thing she noticed was that the sun had begun to rise. Had they actually been out that long? The next thing she knew, something had splattered her face and she furrowed her brow. She reached to wipe whatever it was from her face when someone fell to their knees in front of her. She glanced up with blurry eyes only for said person to fall face first into the dirt beside her.
She blinked a few times before she realized that the person was Izuna and that there was a steady flow of blood falling from his mouth. Air bubbles were forming in the blood from where he was trying to breathe and she reached out to him. “You’re ok.” He managed through a gurgle of blood. “I-izuna…” she stammered and tried to force herself to her hands and knees but she couldn’t find the strength to do so. Madara rushed over and scooped his brother into his arms. “You’re going to be alright, Izuna. I promise Madara whispered frantically as he hefted his younger brother onto his back. He used one hand to pull Hinata to her feet.
Hashirama let them go, grabbing Tobirama’s wrist when he attempted to chase after them. When they got back to the Uchiha estate Hinata mustered all her strength to try and heal Izuna alongside the very few Uchiha medics. In the end the other medics had forced Hinata out, saying she had already expended enough energy and for her to let them do their best to help him. Madara sat in the hallway outside his brother’s room waiting for the medics to remove themselves from the room.
Hours later they finally exited the room, but the news they gave him was not the news he wanted to receive in the slightest. “He’s got some things to tell you…” The lead medic said and he rushed into the room. “Izuna…” Madara started but saw the condition his younger brother was in. Madara’s eyes dropped and he bit his lip, the tears were coming on full force, but yet somehow Izuna still found a way to grin at his older brother, if only momentarily.
His face fell into seriousness and he looked at his older brother. “Madara… I need you to promise me something.” Izuna said and Madara listened to his younger brother intently. “Do not fall into their ploy… do whatever you have to… but I want you to end up happy. I don’t want you and Hinata to die without letting each other know how you feel…” Izuna managed but then fell into a coughing fit that sprayed blood onto his older brother’s face. “Madara. I want you to promise me something else…” Izuna managed after his coughs died down.
“What is it brother?” he asked and Izuna offered a small smile. “Do whatever it takes to live a full life. Both of you…” Izuna said and Madara nodded. “I promise brother. Now rest. You need it for where you are going.” He whispered through his tears and Izuna smiled softly. Izuna knew his brother wasn’t going to listen to him fully, but he knew he would to an extent.
“Take my eyes… and strengthen yourself.” Izuna whispered and closed his eyes. “I will brother, I will avenge you… But I will not die in doing so, and your death will not go unavenged.” Madara whispered as his younger brother’s hand fell limp within his grasp. Hinata entered the room to see Madara brushing the hair away from Izuna’s eyes. “This is all my fault…” she whispered and Madara looked over to her. “No, Hinata, It wasn’t your fault. He loved you, so he died trying to get you away from Tobirama.” Madara whispered and Hinata’s eyes went wide. “He l-loved me?” she stammered and Madara nodded. “Yeah… Just like mother and father loved you, Izuna did as well… although his love was a different kind of love. He wanted to protect you, but he didn’t make any moves on you because he knew I loved you as well.” Madara whispered and Hinata shook her head, she couldn’t understand what he was trying to say to her. “Madara what are you talking about?!” she snapped rubbing her eyes. “I don’t understand you. Izuna just died and you are speaking nonsense. Explain to me what you want from me right now.” She sobbed and he looked over at her.
“Hinata my brother asked me to promise him two things. And I have decided to accept both requests.” He said slowly and she watched him carefully. “The first one, he wanted me to tell you how I felt, wanted me to let you know what my intentions with you truly were.” He said and She watched him with wide eyes. “The second was he wanted me to improve upon my power by taking his.” He said and she listened intently.
“The response to the first is that I want you to be my wife, forever by my side no matter what.” He said and her breath caught in her throat. He couldn’t be serious. He couldn’t be. He had to be speaking some other language at the moment because she couldn’t believe her ears. “And the second, I need your help with. I need you to help me use a sort of transplant jutsu.” He said and she blinked in confusion. “He told me to take his eyes, so help me with both of these requests.” He said and she nodded.

The rain fell heavily on the duo as they stood outside the gates of their home. In a small garden Five stones sat upright with names engraved neatly upon them. ‘Aurora Uchiha’, ‘Tajima Uchiha’, and ‘Izuna Uchiha’ were the three front and more prominent stones. They were all relatively new, while the two smaller ones in the back had worn down names, but Madara knew who they were. His baby brothers who had been cut from this world far too soon…
Hinata looked over at him and offered him her hand. His dark red eyes were menacing in the rain. The clan had turned their back on them, and now it was time to confront the Senju once more. They would get revenge or die trying.
Hey all!!! SO so so sorry for not updating sooner. I plan on updating more in the near future, but seeing as I barely have any days off from work anymore, it’s been extremely hard for me to find time. A lot has changed for me over the last year and I am extremely apologetic for my lack of updates. Hopefully I can keep my promises and continue to update all my stories.
