My alarm clock blared in my ear as I tried to remove the sleep from my body. Remembering what today was, I shot up out of bed and raced to the bathroom. After cleaning my face I went into the living room and saw my best friend, Lizzie Baker, making toast for the both of us.

   "Hey," she called out, reaching up on her toes to grab the butter, "are you excited for today?" She turned around after finally getting it.

"What type of question is that? Of course I'm excited! I've been waiting for this moment for years now, I just can't believe my dream is coming true," I answered while pulling the barstool out.

"I know you'll do great. Here, I made toast and am about to start on the eggs. Eat up so you have energy," she pushed a plate in front of me and turned back around.

I hope she was right, I've dreamt of this moment for as long as I can remember, and it would be a shame for me to not be fit for the job after all the effort I've put in.

Ok, I am EXTREMELY sorry. things have been really stressful for me right now and I haven't found any time to write. I'm gonna post this as a teaser and start actually posting chapters when I'm maybe a third of the way done with the story.

I wish I didn't have to do this, but I don't want to string you guys along for months and just never actually post the next part.

hopefully you guys understand, but for people who followed me a while back, I'm going to edit and republish my short story for class.
