Poem 60 || Skies Do Cry
All colour drained from the sky,
As grey spread throughout,
Far and wide
Ominous clouds hung over,
Clustering and clumping into a thick blanket,
As darkness arose,
Putting up a gloomy show
Thunder roared,
While the sky started to shed teardrops,
Pelting down onto the pavements
Plodding down the drenched sidewalk,
Wrapped in my warm dark coat,
I hid under the umbrella for shelter,
My heart only empty,
Numb and sore
The skies cried along,
While the wind sang me blue songs,
Howling in despair,
As agony started to descend,
And the raindrops comforted my bleeding soul,
Even though it was chillingly cold.
