Poem 53 || Lost And Alone
I'm lost,
Alone in the thick forest
With no one by my side,
Only but a flicker of pale light
Darkness envelopes the woods,
Shoving me into the shadows,
Who spit at me with crudeness
Frosty cold,
I'm on my own,
With not a single living soul,
No one with a heart of gold,
To guide me home
The thick blankets of snow,
Rest below,
Yet their hearts were stone
The oak trees,
Who loom and tower over me,
Mock and jeer in sadistic glee
I shut my eyes,
Hard and tight,
Wishing they would be gone,
Out of my hallucinating head
After all,
I'd rather be,
Lost and alone.
