Poem 25 || A Better World
The world's darkness,
Is caused,
By the cruel nature,
Of man and sin
Every act of harshness,
Contribute to the dullness,
Of the universe
For the gentle petals,
That now rest on the rose,
Will wither and collapse,
Onto the concrete floor,
And all that remains will be prickly thorns,
Slicing everything that touches it;
Nothing but abhorrence and disdain
So ignite the flame,
And light the whole path,
With brightness clear and vast,
Accompanying us all the way
Till the end of the tunnel,
The dark hallway;
Get rid of the cruelty and pain
Make it a better world,
Today.
