Fishing With Undergarments - You Idiots!
Reina's P.O.V
"Thrash around some more, baka! We need extras. There isn't enough with the amount of people we have. Hurry up, loser." Sasuke comanded, holding what few fish we had managed to capture.
Naruto shook his fist at Sasuke angrily, glaring at him darkly as well. "This isn't so easy, dattebayo! Why don't we just switch?!" He shouted, crossing his arms.
This was slightly amusing to watch, but seeing as I'm standing here with no food to fulfill mine and the others needs... I was getting angry each second longer they fought. All I wanted was to get some fish for us all to eat. If I'm correct, we haven't eaten a thing since stepping foot in the cursed forest.
I face palmed. "Can you all stop acting like idiots for once?! Is it so hard to catch a decent amount of fish?" I shouted finally, hitting Sasuke upside the head.
He clicked his tongue and threw me a glare that I pushed away.
"Sasuke-kun! The fire is ready to be lit, can you use your Fireball jutsu on it?" Sakura shouted from where we set up our camp.
Sasuke released a heavy sigh, "I guess these are fine for the time being..." He muttered and walked away to tend to Sakura's needs.
I growled as Naruto followed after Sasuke like a baby duckling. How in the name of Jashin are we supposed to get enough fish to feed all of us if no one bothers to go in and grab some? I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Ne, Tataki!" I said, glancing over at him with bored eyes.
"Hm? What is it?" He asked, raising a grey eyebrow.
"Since those two buffoons left us here to deal with the major food shortage, would you help me get the remaining amount of fish we need?" I asked, frowning faintly.
Atsushi smiled, "Sure, why not?" He chirped, stripping his clothes off.
I blushed and turned around as quickly as I could. "It would be really kind of you if you would warn me before stripping like nothing in front of me!" I shouted, flustered beyond belief.
He chuckled deeply. "Oh, sorry about that. I'll warn you next time, but you should start taking your clothes off as well. You did say you'd help." He mused, twisting my words around.
I spun around to glare at him. "I did not say anything like that! I only said if you would help to get me more fish!" I shouted, stomping my foot on the ground. He smirked at me while shaking his head. My eye twitched. "Fine, I'll help you, Tataki!"
"Finally decided to join me, eh? Blueberry?" He teased.
I muttered a series of incoherent words under my breath, holding in the urge to choke Atsushi. I quickly removed my clothing till I was in my undergarments. There's no need for my clothing to get wet.
I glanced over at Atsushi. He was only in his undergarments as well. He turned towards me with a grin on his face, then I noticed how he was examining me in my... current state.
"T-Tataki! Would you s-stop s-staring?!" I seethed out in embarrassment.
He blinked and started to rub the back of his neck nervously. "Oh, sorry. I was just noticing how you only seem to wear different shades of blue. Your bra and underwear for example, are a light blue." He stated, pointing at my chest.
I blushed even darker. "S-Shut up, you p-pervert!" I screeched, before jumping in the water.
From under the water I could hear his laughing, only causing me to burn up even more. I stood up and examined the water, making sure to spot where the fishes were. I rose my hands above the water, concentrating hard. Biting my lip, I raised my hands a little higher, the water rising up on my command. In the little bubble of water I took from the river, I managed to catch two fish.
I grinned. "I caught two, Tataki!" I shouted.
His head popped out of the water, he held up three fish. "Congrats, I caught one more then you." He mused.
I pouted. "Tsk, we just need two more. Can you get them while I change?" I asked, walking out of the water.
"Got it! I'll be out on a few seconds." He said, before diving back into the water.
I walked back onto land and grabbed my clothes. Quickly, I changed and let my soaking wet hair fall against my back. Soon after I finished changing, Atsushi came back with three fish in his hand. I rose an eyebrow at him.
"You did hear me say two, right?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yeah, I did. But from what I can predict, the blonde boy on your team can eat pretty well." He stated, shaking his head, wet droplets of water landing on my face.
I wiped my face clean with a small glare. "... I see. Well then, let's head back." I mused.
Atsushi nodded and changed while we were walking, it was a bit difficult for him, but he managed. I held three fish while he held the other five. We made it back to came, Sakura and the boys were already beginning to cook the first few fish they brought in.
"We got fish!" Atsushi sung, waving them around in a teasing kind of way.
Naruto drolled and ran to get the fish, he grabbed all eight and eyes them weirdly. "Nice job, dattebayo! Now each of can get more than one!" He grinned, running over to Sakura who was the cook here.
Atsushi and I sat beside one another bu the fire. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, not noticing the looks Sasuke and Naruto were giving both Atsushi and I.
"So, what exactly do we know?" I asked.
Sasuke cleared his throat. "It's already been four days since the start of the second exam, since we started the exam." Each of us nodding in confirmation, except Atsushi. "The start of the second was around the afternoon. That only leaves us with 24 to 25 hours left to finish this exam. There may be some teams that have already passed this. Even if we were to pursuit, there's probably hardly anyone left to target." He explained.
I sat there confused. "Why would we need to target anyone? Don't you all still have the heaven scroll?" I asked, glancing between the three of them.
Sakuta shook her head with a frown. "No... As soon as you were thrown far away by Orochimaru, he burned our heaven scroll." She explained.
I glared at the fire, "Then what the hell are we supposed to do now? We're in a tight spot..." I stated.
"Well, just about everyone has to have passed already." Sasuke mused.
"Yeah... It's been four days after all." Sakura noted.
Naruto's stomach growled, he pouted and glared at the fish. "Why can't we eat already?" He whined.
I smirked and grabbed three fish for him, one of them being the biggest one. "Here. Eat." I said, handing him the fish. "We'll need your strength to fight any other teams, so eat up."
Naruto blushed and grabbed the fish. "T-Thanks, Reina..." He muttered, chewing at the fish.
I shook my head. "No problem, Naruto." I said, turning to Atsushi. "Are you hungry?" I asked, shivering a bit at the cold air.
He nodded, "Yeah, I'll get ours though." He said, grabbing four fish for the both of us.
I took two of the fish, nibbling on its tasty meat. Not being able to eat for the last days sure has gotten to us, me. I felt like this fish I was chewing on was a delicious bowl of ramen...
Another cool breeze of air passed through us, I shivered. "Cold..." I muttered to myself.
There was a sudden warmth surrounding me. My eyes widened as I glanced over my shoulder at Atsushi. He pulled me to his chest and wrapped his arms around my waist. My cheeks grew warm.
"T-T-Tataki...! What are y-you d-doing?!" I sputtered.
He smiled. "Keeping you warm, duh." He said, laughing slightly. "Either way, you're just too cute~" He cooed, rubbing his cheeks against my own. (A/N: Sounds rather... dirty if I say so myself.)
My cheeks grew warmer than before, I struggled in his arms. "I-I don't need you to keep me warm!" I whined, giving up after a few seconds.
Once I gave up, I snuggled into him, wanting his warmth to cover me. I felt safe in his arms, protected. Just being close to him made me feel something for him, like... a sibling bond was forming even if we weren't blood related. He was like my... my big brother.
There was a sudden cough that brought me back to reality, "I'm going to go get some more wood and some water.. Reina, come with me. We're going to need a decent amount." Sasuke ordered, glaring harshly at... me?
I frowned and stood up, leaving that feeling of safety behind. Why do I always have to go with him? Atsushi stood up quickly and grabbed my hand, I looked up at him in awe.
"Sasuke, whatever your name is, you shouldn't be commanding a girl to do your chores. The men in the group should do most of the groups work, why? Because the girls, in this case, would stay and guard the camp from intruders." Atsushi explained, smiling down at me.
Sakura glanced between the boys and gave me a knowing look. I shook my head at her, I didn't want her to interfere with them. It might make things even worse if she does.
"Plus, lay off of Reina. She's had enough of you, Sasuke. From what I can tell, all you do is hurt her!" Atsushi spat in disgust. "I can't believe how horrible you are. Those who hurt their own teammates are scum. I hope you know that." He finished, dragging me to the forest with him.
I looked back at Sasuke as I was being dragged, he was seething in anger. I could tell by the enormous amount of hatred in his eyes.
What are you becoming, Sasuke?
Atsushi dragged us away pretty far, I pulled his hand, wanting him to stop. "Tataski, stop! We're far enough!" I shouted.
He ignored me, digging his nails into my wrist. I winced, "You're h-hurting me!" I whimpered.
He then stopped and let go of my hand. He faced me. "L-Look, I'm sorry, Reina. It's just that your damn teammate pisses me off. He thinks he all that and that he can get whatever he wants when he can't! That's not how this world is... it's different than what he thinks." He shouted, pulling at his hair roughly.
I grabbed his wrists, pulling them down by my side. "I understand how you feel. He's been like this ever since he was bit by Orochimaru, before he was not even close to this. He's... He's scared. That's what I think all of us are like at the moment, scared. I am for both my life and friends. We just have to get through this exam..." I stated, frowning in sadness.
Atsushi sighed and nodded. "Alright, sorry for, uh, letting out my steam..." He said, grabbing some wood.
I shook my head, "Don't apologize." I said, bending down to grab some sticks and logs.
We grabbed a good amount of wood, logs, sticks, things like that and headed back to the camp. When we got back I heard some screaming? Me and Atsushi looked at each other then nodded. We ran as fast as we could only to see Kabuto.
I slowed my pace down, "Kabuto? What the hell are you doing here?" I asked, glaring at him a bit.
He glanced at me with a smile. "Your two teammates right here were about to open the scrolls when we were clearly told not to." He stated, pushing his glasses up his nose.
I walked up to Sakura and Naruto calmly, they both eyed me in curiosity. I was pissed. I hit both Sakura and Naruto upside the head, hard enough to get them to cry out in pain.
"What was that for, Reina?!" Naruto whined.
Sakura nodded, "Yeah, it was an accident!" She said.
I shook in anger, "You idiots! Don't you understand how much danger you put yourselfs in?! You heard anko clearly, don't open the scrolls till we get to the tower!" I scolded.
Atsushi walked over to me, placing his hand on my shoulder. "C'mon, we need to keep moving. From where we got the wood, I could smell the fish." He stated, lowly.
My eyes widened, "O-Okay." I agreed.
Sasuke decided to jump in, "What're you doing here alone?" He asked, suspiciously.
Kabuto kept a straight face. "Well, I didn't come here for your scroll." He stated.
Sasuke nodded. "I didn't think so. If that was your intention, you could've taken it from Naruto right away." He explained.
"That is correct, I was nust making my way over to the tower when I came upon these two opening the scroll. Now, if you'll excuse me..." Kabuto said, walking away slowly.
Sakura stopped Kabuto. "Wait! Can we accompany you to the tower?!" She asked.
I snapped my head in her direction. What in the world is she thinking?!
"Hm, fine. Come along... We must get going quickly. At this rate, we will be targeted by animals and enemies. The smell of fish has spread quite quickly." He said, glaring at a bush of to the side.
There was a ruffling noise from the bush, a few leaves fell to the ground. There was enemies nearby? God... First the scroll, now enemies, and now we're going to the tower with Kabuto? A enemy who I clearly despise.
Great, I can already tell this won't go so well...
