Rajay POV

"I felt really bad for what I did." I reply hanging my head in shame.

"Oh" she reply.

Silence fell upon us like a thick warm blanket leaving us lost in our own thoughts. Why her though? I kept asking myself over and over. My eyes then move on their own accord and stopped on her slender figure. She is quiet a site, quite beautiful without even trying, just sitting there on the log.

Her head is hung low and she is just staring at some stones in front of her. Thank God she hasn't caught me gazing at her. I took the opportunity to admire her appearance completely and clearly. I didn't know what to say at this point to break the silence. What could be going on in her mind  I thought. At least she is not crying anymore my brain whisper. That made me feel happy and relax.

Shauntay POV

I think I handle all of this wrong and I might have hurt him. Should I correct this? Or should I leave it alone. Sigh. These stones are really pretty though with there pink and yellow colours and white line patterns.

The silence was killing me, but I have no idea what to say. I honestly don't want to say something that might cut his emotional hole deeper. After a while I slowly lift my head and look at him opening my mouth to say how sorry I am.

"I..... We..... You..." We ended up saying together.

I guess the both of us are thinking the same thing. I held my head down with a smile quickly.

"I think you should go first" I hear him say.

"I'm sorry too for behaving the way I did. That's not how I usually behave" I say calmly not looking at him.

"Hey, that's okay. I started it. I guess its apart of my bad nature" he reply.

I then look up and meet his eyes again seeing in them sincerity.

"We could start over if you want" I suggest raising my right eye brow at him.

He started smiling. My word girl he's hot like a volcano erupting my brain whisper-yell. Oh yes he is quiet breath taking. I think he should smile more often. It brings out the dimples in his cheeks. Hey did I just think that. Yes you did, you even agreed my brain reply sassily.

"Yes I think we should" he reply scratching his head, with a small smile plastered on his face.

I got up and walk to where he was sitting and stop right in front of him. I see him get up and push his hands in his pocket. Wow he's pretty tall. I hadn't notice I thought.

I look straight in his eyes, held out my hand. I see him look down at it for a second then he took out is hand and slowly put it in mine. Dammmmm his hands feel so nice. Speak girl before he thinks
you're odd or spooning at him my mind scold.

"Hi, I am Shauntay Thompson" I heard myself say.

Wow that was calm with my hormones on over drive. You go girl my mind scream excitedly.

"Hi, I am Rajay Lockwise, nice to meet you Tay"

Oh wow. Still with the nicknames uhhh.

"Nice to meet you Raj" I counter.

Dam girl you are on fire today. You even got him a nick name my brain say. A smile was plastered on my face for that come-back. I heard him burst out in fits of laughter still holding my hand. I was puzzled as to why. He must have seen it because I heard him say between laugh.

"You... Got..... A ... Nick name for me"

I just joined him laughing making our hands pull apart.

"Yes I am a smart ass" I say putting my hands on my waist glaring at him.

"Oh yes and I am a bad ass" he counter.

"Badass my ass" I shot back.

"Oh no you didn't just do that" he say with a evil looking smirk.

I then see him step in front of me and grab me by my waist and throw me over his shoulder letting me face up side down.

"Now say I am a bad ass" he commanded seriously.

"No" I scream.

He started poking my sides. I can't manage this. I can't breathe.

"Okay okay" I blurted out after a while.

"I am listening" he say jokily.

"More like your butt is" I mutter

"Still not hearing" he said poking one of my side.

"Okay, you're a bad ass now put me down" I scream still laughing.

He put me down soon after. Thank God I am safe am on the ground I thought. A plan quickly form in my head to get back at him. I stop laughing suddenly.

"I can't believe you did that. Don't talk to me again." I scream angrily.

Oh wow. This is fun. I saw his face drop in an instant. I got him good I thought. I turn around and storm away. I was looking at him through the corner of my eyes and I saw him turn his back to me. Yes my opportunity has arrive.

I spun around, sprinted towards him then jump on his back.

"You're going down sucker" I shouted

We both fell to the ground and I had him pin down.

"Got yah" I said laughing.

I think he was still in shock. So I made sure I had him down for a while so he won't be able to move.

"Say you're not a bad ass but a scaredy cat" I demanded.

He was laughing now. At least I have him at his lowest point I start to press my elbows in the center of his back while straddling him.

I heard him yelp out in pain.

"I can't hear you" I say.

I kept pressing down for him to feel more pain. Thank God for the ninja lessons I got from watching tv to be able to do this.

"Okay okay. I am not a badass, I am a scaredy cat" he say in a strained voice.

"Are you sure?" I inquire pressing down again.

"Yes, yes, yes" he pretty much shouted this time.

At this point I think I will need a distraction so he won't be able to catch me easily.

"No I don't think so. Say it again" I continue.

By the time he is to get up I was up, turning and running away quickly.

Rajay POV

I can't believe she just did that I thought. I still can feel the pain in my back but I manage to get up and sprint after her. Damm this girl can run. She is really giving me a work out here. She's even smart, because she is running zig zag around various trees so it's harder to catch her.

"I am going to get you for that!" I shouted.

"Oh no you won't" she retort without looking back.

I zig zag in the opposite direction to where she was going and end up meeting her face to face. I grab her and pull her to my chest and hug her tightly.

"Got yah" I say.

We both burst out laughing to the point where we are out of breath. Her head was down. Her laugh is like music to my ears. She look up suddenly and our laughter vanish.

She has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. We continue staring at each other. My right hand found her cheek and I begin to lean in to kiss her kissable lips. Just one more inch I thought.

"Bringgggggg" We both jump away from each other.

Why did the bell have to ring? I feel to shout right now.

"That's the bell. Its time for us to go home. Thank you for everything" I heard her say breathless.

"Yeah, you're welcome. Any time" I reply softly.

We walk back to pick up our bags to get back on the school compound. When we got to the parking lot, it was fairly empty.

"Where's your car?" I ask.

"Follow me" she answer.

I did as I was told. Once we got there I see her pull the back door putting her things in and close the door and walk to the driver side. I was still standing at the front of her car.

I held my head down a little because I felt sad she was leaving. I then feel a body pressed against mine, hugging me tightly. I couldn't even respond, too shock to move.

I think she realise that I was shock when she slowly pull back and meet my eyes. She then surprise me by doing an unthinkable thing. She kissed me on my right cheek and ran to her car and drive away.

My hand automatically went to my cheek. Did that just happen? I stood there for what seemed like a long time before I got in my car and head home rethinking the kiss I got on my cheek. I might not wash my face for a while I thought.
