Spring break was moving so slowly.

My head began hurting

from staring at the ceiling for so long.

My house was empty again,

and all I could hear was silence.

So the sound of my phone ringing

caused me to jump out of bed.

It was so loud,

and felt out of place in my room.

So hurriedly,

I answered it.

Hey, Sarah!

Virginia's voice greeted me.

It was then that I vaguely remember giving her my number.

Oh.

Hi, Virginia.

I responded in confusion,

but she didn't miss a beat.

Is it okay if I can come over?

Her question moved me to more confusion.

Come over?

She answered immediately.

Yeah.

We could hang out and have a sleep over.

That is, if you want.

She quickly added.

And still confused,

all I could do was nod.

Okay.

And with a hurried goodbye,

she hung up.

This girl just continued to surprise me.

At this thought,

I let a small smile fall upon my lips.
