VII
There's a new student at our school,
which is a rarity,
but still a pleasant surprise.
Most people didn't really enjoy moving
into small towns like this.
So when I was introduced to this girl,
I was slightly confused,
slightly curious.
Her name was Virginia.
Her voice was soft,
deep
and smooth like silk.
It was a beautiful sound.
But man,
I never knew someone could be so
kind
and open.
But here she was,
beaming down at everyone in the halls.
The morons at our school whistled
when she walked pass,
making me feel like a complete idiot.
Someone as nice and as gorgeous as her
wouldn't waste their time with someone like me:
someone that's...
a girl.
A sudden weight now on my shoulders and chest,
I gave Virginia a tight smile,
leaving her by her next class,
before disappearing down the hallway.
