"Pheenie," The kidnapper whispered seductively into the defence attorney's ear;
"M-Mm?"
"You're going to be a very good boy for me and stay absolutely silent, aren't you?" The man tapped Phoenix's button nose as he stated his simple command. Feeling too embarrassed to use his, still muffled and gagged, lips to speak the defence attorney briskly nodded.
"If you distract me or try anything clever... You know what will happen, don't you?" Phoenix meekly whimpered and began trembling more than ever underneath the kidnapper's gradually tightening grip upon his body in his arms.
"Good doggy." The kidnapper lightly pecked the defence attorney's hair, speaking painfully patronisingly before cursing as he heard another faint noise in the distance;
"Hello!"
"Hmm, it seems like we have guests." The man cocked his head despite having the knowledge that Phoenix couldn't see a thing that was going on around him - and didn't have the freedom to feel anything around him either due to his bound wrists.
"Why don't we go and greet them; you and me, like proper hosts, hmm?" When there was no response besides a low, petrified, squeak the kidnapper proceeded to ascend the final step, and confidently opened the door by kicking it with his foot (he couldn't simply open it with his hand due to the 'precious cargo' in his arms) and strode into an empty, dimly lit, yellow corridor.

"Hello?" The kidnapper called out smugly, not worried at all by the fact he was practically giving away their location. He'd always loved a challenge, anyway.

Silence.

.... And then a slight scuffle on the floor beneath them.

"I said.... HELLOOO!" The man teased, practically skipping around the corridor as it wrapped around the building, dotted with many unused office-doors. No, the ride wasn't very comfortable for the defence attorney - who already had a bad back and was now being joggled up and down repeatedly - but he couldn't complain for fear of being scolded. The kidnapper stopped running around and stood inhumanly still, beyond disappointed by his pursuers' non-existent movements. He'd been rather looking forward to teasing them, as well. He sighed and stated deliberately loudly;
"Oh well, PHEENIE, it looks like we have no guests, after all." And began stomp, deliberately loudly, upon the ugly, carpeted, floor all the way back to the basement's door, cautiously eyeing the area around them as he went - fervid in not being caught off-guard.

"Not so fast."

The kidnapper could barely contain his glee, positively beaming at the door in front of him, as a very familiar voice's sound waves hit his ears. Even the defence attorney stiffened. The man spun around on his heel, grinning ear to ear and slightly startling the prosecutor, forensic scientist and policeman with his insane expression.
"Ah! What a pleasure it is to see you, sirs. And ma'am." The kidnapper bowed to the group stood at the foot of the office stairs - which were located about 3 metres away from where he was currently stood.
"Is he sane?" Ema slowly mumbled to the prosecutor - who was far too occupied in gazing at the shivering, practically naked, defence attorney clutched in the kidnapper's arms.
"So, what brings you fine citizens of this glorious country here today?" The man jeered;
"Perhaps I should serve you a few glasses of wine? I have plenty of bottles for you all to share. It could be absolutely splendid!" The kidnapper chuckled menacingly, filling the noiseless atmosphere surrounding them all. Edgeworth's eyes were narrowed, and his fists were clenched, his gaze unmoving from the helpless attorney.

How dare this idiot make fun of them, flashing his stupidity and perverted sense of humour in their faces like this? How dare he tease them all with the possession they had been looking for all along, wrapped up like a festive meal - just out of their reach?

"Is that not to your fancy?"
"No. It is most certainly not." Edgeworth replied stiffly, only just managing to stop himself from beating up the pathetic excuse for a human being before him.
"Oh. What a shame." The kidnapper rounded his shoulders, sighing;
"In that case, I must sincerely apologise. I shall have to be taking my leave; I have some business to attend to." The man tightened his grip on Phoenix's torso as he spoke, conscious that he was ripping a small, previously suppressed, groan from Phoenix's lips. He grinned as he noticed how much more of a turn-on the sound became for him beneath the gag. The prosecutor bristled as he noticed this disgraceful act, taking a large step forward;
"I believe you have, in your possession, something of great importance that belongs to me." Ema and Clementine stayed planted where they'd appeared, allowing Edgeworth some breathing-room to deal with this in a way that he'd prefers. The defence attorney blushed, resisting the urge to cry out for the prosecutor, and felt his eyes prickling, threatening to start a waterfall of natural, salty, liquid flowing from his eyes. The kidnapper widened his eyes innocently;
"Something of yours?" He shook his head.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, sir. We've never even met before!"
"Don't play dumb with me." Edgeworth growled before continuing;
"Phoenix. Phoenix, can you hear me?" The prosecutor snapped impatiently, beginning to feel his hands become slightly clammy as he heard no response.
"I don't understand. Who is 'Phoenix'?" The kidnapper protectively pulled the defence attorney to his chest, away from the prosecutor - who was leaning forward precariously. It was becoming increasingly difficult to be civilised with the man for Edgeworth as he saw him snatch away his boyfriend like that, and he was now shaking with fury, feeling extremely light-headed.
"Phoenix, if you can hear me, say something. Make a noise. ANYTHING, PLEASE..." The kidnapper sensed the defence attorney's jaw unclench slightly, and placed one of his supporting hands upon the man's spiky hair, forcing Phoenix's back to fold slightly, tugging a few of its black strands to shut him up. The defence attorney only-just-audibly mewled lightly with the stabs of pain hurting him. The prosecutor froze;
"... Phoenix?"
"I think you should leave now. We don't appreciate intruders." The kidnapper lazily stated, gesturing to the stairs.
"What have you done to him." Edgeworth's icily-cold eyes travelled up the opposing man's physique until he was eye-to-eye with him.
"What do you mean? Because he's not responding you think I have something to do with it? Don't make me laugh." The kidnapper furrowed his brow, his previous playful tone beginning to disintegrate. The defence attorney's eyes allowed a few drops of salty water out of their grasp, dampening the black cloth covering them.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HIM." The prosecutor advanced, closing the gap between them in an attempt to intimidate the other, his expression that of grave seriousness.
"I thought I told you... I HAVEN'T TOUCHED HIM."
"THEN WHY IS HE TIED UP AND GAGGED!"
"In a minute, you're going to do something stupid which you'll regret." The man calmly spoke despite the prosecutor towering above him with his loud roar, noticing his visible attempts to restrain himself from hitting the kidnapper. Edgeworth bit his tongue, watching the other man slowly step towards the large, panelled windows behind him.
"Where do you think you're going."
"Nowhere. I'm just..." The kidnapper smiled, radiating pure innocence, before opening the window and finally allowing his face to return to its usual, devious nature.

"This has been fun and all, don't get me wrong, but... If you take a step further, he dies."
