The people of the Golden City believed these outsiders were gods or simply demons. Whichever way, these heroes proved themselves they were not interested in gold because they didn't cheat in the game nor used their weapons to kill.

Eventually, they needed their privacy since they had been transformed for too long, they needed to feed their kwamis to get their strength back.

Ladybug detransformed into Marinette inside the temple in private without anyone seeing her, "I'm so sorry, Tikki. I had to do everything I could without revealing my true identity" She apologized.

"I'm starving" Tikki ate her cookie.

"This is the last one. Eventually, you'll have to try other food they have here" Marinette said.

"Okay. As long as it's sweet" Tikki said.

"It won't be easy. There's gotta be something you liked before sweets were discovered" Marinette said, knowing that Tikki has lived millions of years old.

"Fruits might work" Tikki pointed out.

Adrien is also in hiding too and completely irritated with Plagg complaining about how starved he is to have his cheese.

"This is the last one. These people don't have cheese here and you're gonna have to try other foods they have from now on" Adrien strictly said, almost sounding like his father but he wants Plagg to get a grip, "No cataclysm without a holder again. You know how dangerous it is"

"I know" Plagg sighs.

"Just please, for once. You like things very rotten but right here it's very fresher and healthy" Adrien said and then took out a piece of bread to Plagg, "Try this"

"Bread? That stuff is dry and flavorless!" Plagg refused.

"How about this expired banana?" Adrien held out one, "Ugh, very mushy"

"Better!" Plagg said before munching it.

"Enjoy" Adrien rolls his eyes.

Pelle in hiding saw how his kwami looked exhausted, "I'm terribly sorry for being transformed too long, Trunkk. I couldn't risk revealing my identity. It's like these people have encountered white people to believe they are demons" Pelle said before feeding him.

"I don't blame you, Pelle. My previous holders have had the same problems" Trunkk said while munching on peanuts.

"Even superheroes have a lot of responsibilities that involve in difficult situations," Pelle said.

"Yeah. Though the peanuts are munchy, I prefer the chocolates you carry but they'd melt in this warm place" Trunkk said.

"Totally. Maybe mangos, watermelon, grapes?" Pelle asked.

"Well, you told me elephants love melons. I could try them" Trunkk said.

"Yep, from what I learned from my experiences," Pelle said.

Luna in hiding fed her kwami, knowing how much it exhausted her.

"Finally getting to eat something," Clawws said.

"Lo siento, mi kwami" Luna apologized in Spanish.

"But at least we both got a break. That ball game was a very ancient old game they created as a sport" Clawws said.

"Clawws, these visions. Are they like memories of your previous owners?" Luna asked, hoping it wasn't some kind of mental hallucination.

"Yes, they are. They grant you the knowledge of the previous holders here, including that of my dark twin who got banished to the other universe" Clawws explained.

"Sun and moon. Mine is the moon, hers is the sun. In a symbolic way for an eclipse to happen. Gatito also had visions too. Was there a previous owner of the black cat that really fell in love with your owner?" Luna asked.

"Yes, there was. Among those colonists that arrived here," Clawws said.

"So love at first sight stopped the war so that war doesn't lead to so many killings and deaths if two sides were all killed," Luna said, knowing there are no sides to wars like this but when it comes to women's lives, and beauty, it always stops the wars before wars create more destruction until every last man are dead.

"Yes. And the colonists made a vow to never return" Clawws said.

"But your owner chose to live with the cat thief. That's why her father created an archway so that she could return to her home but it never happened. Until centuries have passed, people have forgotten it and just led to be believed El Dorado was just a fairytale myth" Luna said.

"Yes. Then came their son to become the new holder. Centuries have passed before a new world came and then it passed down straight towards South America. The mistress you met, her mother was also a holder too and saw the making of the Panama Canal" Claws explained the history.

"So the previous holders came from Spain and then came the migration, and then to me. But I was given a miraculous in Paris" Luna said.

"Yes, that is correct," Clawws said.

"So all your owners were Hispanic?" Luna asked.

"Most of them were," Clawws said.

"That explains why jaguars are always popular for Latinas. Let's regroup. Clawws, let's hunt" Luna transformed back to Panthera.

Before she could leave, she got startled by Oscura near the exit, "Hola, señorita"

"You" Panthera tried to reach her spear but it wasn't there.

"Looking for this?" Oscura held it, "Mine is much cooler than that pathetic traditional weapon"

"Why are you doing this?!" Panthera glared.

Oscura cackled before speaking, "Because I hate how the world can be so cruel. I'm sure you know that whenever people have no better judgment, they don't accept who you are as a person" She paced her.

"You're wrong. It doesn't matter what everyone thinks. Hurting them doesn't make them change their minds to take back what they say" Panthera said.

"Really? Tell me this. One person everyone in Paris talks about is a mocosa daughter of a mayor they despise" Oscura reminded her.

"Chloe is always a brat but there are thousands of people more brattier than her" Panthera leans against the wall since she can't fight her doppelgänger who is more menacing and stronger.

"Exactly! They should have never been pendejos to begin with! After all, you did warn us about that madman. Why did you try to save me?" Oscura asked, clawing the wall near her.

"Agh! Because that's what heroes do! I do hate bad people ruining lives but I know better than to let my rage turn into something I don't want to become!" Panthera replied.

"You have no choice! My miraculous is your twin! And they aren't alike!" Oscura starts to threaten her.

Panthera pushed her off, "What do you know about it?!"

"What do I know?! The miraculous makes me do whatever I want! Something that my old self could never do than get suffered a lot! You have no idea what it's like to feel like you're nothing!" Oscura tried to punch her but Panthera caught her wrist.

"Of course I do! Everyone is a nobody but deep down they are something!" Panthera said but got kicked in the gut, "Agh!"

"Not everyone can be something, pendeja! You don't know me! Always watch your back" Oscura jumped out and disappeared.

"Alright, that's it!" Panthera snarled.

Ladybug and Cat Noir were amazed by the lost city made of gold. Especially with real jaguars as pets, they weren't dangerous to the people. They were tame as house cats.

"Good kitties" Cat Noir pets one of them.

"Heh, you still remember that day you outran two panthers? I thought you could've been the cat whisperer" Ladybug said.

"Ah yes, I remember that Bugaboo" Cat Noir said.

"Jaguars are really something to these people. I can hardly imagine how ancient people worship animals as their gods" Ladybug said, getting licked by a Jaguar.

"Yeah, they really are cute when not threatening" Cat Noir scratched one jaguar's chin.

"Speaking of threat, I just hope our least favorite monster isn't akumatizing people. He's a monster all right but the Akuma damage can't be fixed by hand, only by the holder of the Ladybug. He can't akumatize people without having us in the field" Ladybug said, petting the Jaguar.

"Totally agree with you, milady" Cat Noir said.

"He can't get through the gateway. I suppose a sentimonster with a fake miraculous won't work" Ladybug said.

"That bloody damn coward always runs off like that. It's not like we are gonna kill him" Cat Noir rolled his eyes of the times their enemy ran off, it's called having a lack of bravery.

"Yeah, he's clearly not very good at fighting for an old man like him," Ladybug said.

"And whatever happened to Mayura. She barely even fights at all" Cat Noir said before seeing a cub looking curious at him.

"You're right, kitty. I suppose Hawk Moth declared she failed a lot and thought he would wield it to be successful" Ladybug said.

"Except one thing, Ladybug" Blu Tembo said before walking in.

"What's that" Ladybug asked.

"Using the miraculous for the greater good. He uses violence and hatred which causes more disasters and failures. Superheros like you and Cat Noir, you use the power of love, confidence, bravery, teamwork, and responsibility to save the day every time you guys defeat an akumatized victim. Ever since that incident in New York, I came to Paris to learn your world" Blu Tembo explained why violence doesn't do greater good.

"We must have really inspired you, elephant boy," Cat Noir said.

"Thanks, kitty cat. That's why I choose Paris for my.....for something in my life" Blu Tembo can't reveal his college work which would risk revealing his secret identity.

"You made the right choice then," Cat Noir said.

Panthera felt like she went through a lot of rage but eventually cooled down since that evil Jaguar holder is getting on her nerves a lot. Even as much as she can understand her suffering, she just hopes it's not too late for her to come to her senses. There are always second chances for redeeming.

"Hola, niños" Panthera said.

"Hola Panthera" Blu Tembo greeted his partner.

"So, what do you think of El Dorado? It's like a city built by their gods" Panthera said.

"It looks beautiful by all the solid gold structures," Ladybug said.

"And jaguars as their animal spirits," Panthera said before admiring the words in Spanish to the Jaguar by petting it.

"Yeah. They are basically house cats here" Cat Noir said.

"Even as house cats, it's hard to understand they are not actually domesticated," Blu Tembo said.

"Totally," Panthera said.

"Where have you been?" Blu Tembo asked.

"Uhhh.....just breathing in all the discovery" Panthera lied.

"I see" Blu Tembo bought the lie.

"Heh, you guys sure come a long way to being all grown up. Me and Milady will one day be adults by then" Cat Noir said, remembering the first time seeing adult Bunnyx battling Timetagger.

"Heh, actually, I kind of miss being a kid. So much family fun. Although when kids grow up, it's tough for parents to see their kids move on to live their own lives. Just like with animals doing the same too" Panthera said, knowing that she still lives with her family but she has a college course to pass until she graduates and then live her own life, and so will her big brother too.

"Me too. I still enjoy some TV shows from my childhood" Blu Tembo said.

"I hardly remember much of my childhood," Cat Noir said.

"Well, much of the past gets lost," Ladybug said.

"True. Well, these big cats sure are friendly. You guys thought they weren't?" Panthera asked.

"Well, at first, yes," Ladybug said.

"I can't believe my miraculous was inherited by them. No wonder their princess left and passed it down to the Hispanic people and then to me" Panthera said.

"Yep. But we better look out for your evil twin" Ladybug said.

"It's not that simple. She and her elephant are nothing like any other villain. They don't like to be backstabbed or manipulated. Even if you tried reasoning with them what they are doing is wrong, they will still think we are manipulating them. They definitely don't like to be manipulated or used as pawns" Panthera explained.

"It's like with akumatized victims. They get easily manipulated by Hawkmoth but they have no second thoughts and if they do succeed in claiming your miraculous, Hawkmoth would just throw them away like they mean nothing to him but take credit. All he cares about is stealing their victory as his pawns. As in using them for his selfish gain and benefits" Blu Tembo explained.

"Which is why these twins of us, they don't trust anyone. They probably experience it and they make sure they don't make that mistake again" Panthera said.

"Especially that Italian girl who co-models with Adrien Agreste, she made a lie about us on the Ladyblog" Blu Tembo said.

"Yep, but no one bought that lie," Cat Noir said.

"Especially that she let out some errors," Ladybug said.

"Who the hell is she anyway? I thought everyone checks their facts and sources" Blu Tembo said.

"A simple talented liar who just likes to cause trouble," Ladybug said, knowing that she's the cause of it by getting involved just to have Adrien see the truth the hard way.

"I'm glad you two can see her lies. At school, no one can. I just hope she doesn't cause so much trouble last time. Anyways, I just hope your families and ours aren't worried too much" Cat Noir said, fearing how his father would be to find out Adrien is missing for days.

"That would mean trouble" Ladybug worried.

"I can hardly imagine. That fashion designer Gabriel, is the scariest man to accuse anyone who has his son around" Blu Tembo said, remembering the blog online from Wayhem posting pics of Adrien in public.

"No kidding," Cat Noir said.

"I don't trust that man," Panthera said, feeling very upset that night when he called her a stranger in front of his son, well indirectly speaking.

"Me too," Blu Tembo said.

"You two look upset when you mention about him. Did he give you a hard time on both sides of you?" Ladybug asked.

"You have no idea," Blu Tembo said.

"It's just our opinion, and opinions have to be taken lightly. Come, let's explore to clear minds off. We don't want to worry so much since this is like a vacation in paradise" Panthera said.

"Of course" Ladybug nodded in agreement.

From the trees, Loxodon was spying on them. He lowers his scope after looking through it.

"You do know I have super sharp vision like a Jaguar, lurking in the shadows like a predator," Oscura said.

"I know" Loxodon replied.

"So what do you see?" Oscura asked.

"They are exploring the city," Loxodon said.

"Interesting. These pendejas are not interested in gold. I assume they know what's coming. The monstrous Jaguar of the evil god" Oscura said.

"Which your kwami is his servant," Loxodon said.

"But she's a rebel too like I am," Oscura said before jumping down, "As well as yours too"

"Yep," Loxodon replied.

"I don't trust this evil god. Gods are more extreme than anyone. Especially equally extreme like kwamis too because they lived more than the earth did" Oscura said since her kwami passed that knowledge to her.

"Okay then," Loxodon said.

"When that time comes, make sure I get to kill him before he tries to punish those who banished him," Oscura said.

"Very well" Loxodon nodded.

"You do know only I can stop him. Unless you want him to destroy all elephant kind" Oscura testing his weakness.

"Absolutely not!" Loxodon growled.

"Time to get the pressure out of your ass. Do you want the gods to terminate your beasts?" Oscura smirked.

"HELL NO!" Loxodon raised his voice aggressively.

"Are you gonna be a kickass to never let it happen?" Oscura said.

"Yeah," Loxodon nods.

"Good. Maybe next time, don't let anyone kill your beasts" Oscura said.

"I won't let them" Loxodon replied.

"Good. Because with no hesitation, you improve more" Oscura said.

"Even if it means killing Blu Tembo," Loxodon said.
