The next day, the young adult heroes explain to their families they are fine and unharmed, making this white lie more convincing without having them suspect they are superheroes. They can't let them know that, yet. For safety and their own good. As soon as they are convinced, they tell them to continue their day in Paris and wish them luck, hoping they don't get akumatized since they heard stories about a supervillain terrorizing innocent lives. They assure them they won't and as long as the Parisian superheroes are there, they always save the day.

Unfortunately for Adrien, he wasn't allowed to be out of the mansion again since his father asked him who was the person who saved him but Adrien didn't know much about her and claimed she was just a young college student and just risked her life to jump in and save him at instinct.

As for Marinette, her parents were relieved she was alive and well, wondering if the elephant hero had a part in saving her. She had to lie and say that he did come to her rescue from being kidnapped. Adrien had to find this woman as Cat Noir since his father doesn't believe him but perhaps she can explain to him in person to gain his freedom back but that would be like personal gain but he can't let his father keep him like a caged animal like this. But it wasn't gonna be easy to find her. He did hear rumors from two weeks ago of a Swedish man who stood up to Chloe at the hotel to defend a Hispanic woman who was getting threatened by Chloe.

Luna was feeling extremely overwhelmed when the news got out that the model boy was safe but his father said nothing to the news. It made her feel guilty to believe that getting involved like that was a big mistake in her life. Her kwami assured her it wasn't her fault, she only did what was brave at the museum and Gabriel gave no gratitude to save his son.

"What am I going to do, Clawws?" Luna said.

"Talk to a close friend like Pelle. He's your friend" Clawws suggested.

"I can't get him involved in this. I bet it's that girl who works with Gabriel Agreste, she probably told him something that isn't true" Luna said but she's jumping to conclusions.

"Are you sure?" Clawws asked.

"I can't get ahead of myself, Clawws. But I can't just let Gabriel think of me as some stranger. It was so offensive and it embarrassed Adrien so badly that he just wanted to socialize with new people" Luna said until realizing that Cat Noir was standing near the open balcony, "Ay!" She exclaimed before calming down, "Cat Noir?!"

Clawws quickly hides before the feline sees her.

"Hi. Luna, right?" Cat Noir asked.

"Uhhhh.......si? Um, huge fan of you? I mean, you're Cat Noir? The real and only Cat Noir?!" Luna talked too fast at how much she wanted to talk to him as her true self rather than as Panthera, "What are you doing here?"

"I just came to talk to someone. Ladybug isn't out tonight" Cat Noir said.

"To talk....to me? You barely know me at all. I'm just a nobody and a reckless tourist in Paris. You probably saw me saving a model guy that night at the Louvre. That was you and Ladybug's job, not mine" Luna looks away, feeling upset at how Oscura did have a point that some people can be judgemental.

"Not always, Mademoiselle. Everyone has the right to save loved ones in danger. And from what I think, you did the right thing to save Adrien's life. That's why he wanted to make up for this misunderstanding and he also told me to find you because he needed you to explain to his father in person. Believe me, as much as that fashion designer can be stubborn, he doesn't listen to me and Milady that much. But maybe he can listen to your side of the story" Cat Noir encourages her to try.

Luna sighed that it wouldn't be easy because she heard people say he was a powerful man in Paris and she was nothing like wealthy people to be that perfect in everything.

"What else Adrien told you?" Luna sighs.

"Well, he says his father deems his friends as bad influences to him," Cat Noir said.

"What?!" Luna turns around with anger in her eyes, "How could he think such things like that? Bring me there, pronto!"

"Okay, but there are consequences to follow," Cat Noir said.

"Like what?" Luna raised a brow.

"Never mind then" Cat Noir replied.

"Okay. I'm doing this for Adrien, my family, and for myself too. Maybe even for Adrien's friends. But......could I get an autograph?" Luna asked shyly, opening her journal scrapbook she designed with her journalist style, "Forgive me, it's my Paris journal of places I have been to, things I like, famous places in Paris, and I needed an autograph from you and Ladybug. Since you're here now, with your permission?"

"Sure" Cat Noir drew his signature on it along with a paw logo underneath.

Later, Cat Noir brings Luna to the Agreste mansion but tells her he can't go in since Gabriel is not much of a superhero fan type. Nathalie escorted the traveler inside since Gabriel was informed that it was a traveler who saved his son at the Louvre.

Luna looked rather hyperventilated but she had to be strong and not look like a fool since Gabriel never takes kindly to anyone to ruin his Gabriel brand, especially how she got involved with Adrien since he's the model.

"Hello, sir?" Luna said shyly.

"My assistant informed me it was you. A traveler kid who has no business getting in my son's way. I expected no more from a traveler who has no business near my son" Gabriel criticizing her foolishness.

"Technically speaking, I'm nearly 20 years old in a few weeks, sir. I didn't mean to get involved but I went with my gut to save your son. I care too much, that's all" Luna said nervously.

"Really? You don't even look 20 years old. I never gave Adrien permission to speak with a traveler" Gabriel glared at her.

"We just talked, that's all. Nothing happened, sir. The thing is, he needed someone to talk to and he seemed like a sweet boy, sir. I'm sorry you got worried that he went missing but he's here safe and sound. Don't you think that maybe he will return to school? His friends miss him so much" Luna said, holding her journal book from the panic attacks she's feeling.

"That depends on me. I am his father and I decide what's best for my son!" Gabriel getting annoyed with her.

Luna did not like this strange attitude from a man who ever steps out of his mansion or never makes public appearances. She had enough of his behavior and can see why Adrien is so obedient to him. She clenched her fists in anger.

"Life isn't just about you, Mr. Agreste. Everyone has a life. Adrien has a life too outside the mansion. His friends care more about him because they listen to him and support him. You're the only one who never gives him a chance at anything for himself. You may think you're doing what's best for him but not his mental being" Luna explained and left the office, "Have a nice day" She said before departing, glancing at Adrien who was standing near his bodyguard, "He'll change his mind, I hope. It was nice meeting you"

"See you soon" Adrien whispered.

Pelle at the transportation bus, was glaring at Lila about Panthera and his alter ego Blu Tembo. She claims that she was saved by Blu Tembo from the zoo incident but it was a lie. Now he understands why Ladybug and Cat Noir despise her so much. Everyone else just gets easily believed in her lies without checking their facts. Pathological liars come as the worst liars.

The bus stopped and Pelle got off, only to be followed by Lila who remembered him at the Louvre the other night.

"I heard so much about you. Jim Murphy and I used to analyze the relics he found, even the latest ones from Spain. And this African hero Blu Tembo saved me once from the Zoo breakout the day you began working there" Lila making a lie to impress him.

"You missed one thing there. It wasn't even from Spain. I've known Jim longer than you have. He was the one who ensured I could volunteer" Pelle replied.

"I see what's wrong. You're jealous of me. You don't have to be so upset. I get it. All fan girls get jealous when I'm with Adrien at modeling" Lila making this sound more innocent, "Maybe you and I can volunteer together with Jim Murphy. Who knows? We can get along"

"No thanks. I already have a friend who doesn't make up lies" Pelle accused her which made her gasp, "I can't prove it but what I do know is there was no news about Blu Tembo ever mentioning about saving you. He only saved a baby elephant to reunite with its mother. He and Panthera never gave autographs to you or anyone else because they were new superheroes for 2 weeks and 5 days. Plus, he never came from Africa because there was no news from Africa about him"

Lila was surprised he didn't buy her lies, "Ladybug put you up to this?" She asked angrily.

"No" He lied but Ladybug did tell him about her as Blu Tembo, "I just checked my facts"

Lila can see how much he's a bit like Marinette and Adrien to see through her lies, "I only tell people what they wanna hear" She smirked evilly.

"It's called lying. People check their facts all the time" Pelle getting creeped out by her look.

"People can't resist what they like to hear. Especially on social media. If you don't want to be my friend, fine. I can simply tell Jim Murphy that you hurt me so much that you did it out of jealousy. And that's what's gonna happen if you don't take back your word" Lila cornered Pelle against the alley wall.

At ShadowMoth's lair, he can sense a negative emotion of fear and anger from a person who hates liars but also threats from someone to try and make his life miserable.

"At last, someone worthy of their fear as power" He let one of the butterflies to his palm to akumatize it, "Fly my akuma and evilize him!"

The Akuma flies out the huge window to find the source of the person's negative emotion to feast on.

Pelle could not stand her at all and did not like to be threatened by someone a few years younger than him like that. Especially how talented she is to lie her way in life to get what she wants while gullible people just believe her lies too easily.

"I won't let you threaten me with your lies. One day, you'll destroy your well-being if you choose to become a pathological liar" Pelle said before leaving, feeling scared and angry that there is no solution to find a way to expose her lies in public.

"Pelle, look out!" Trunkk warned but it was too late.

An Akuma was getting close to his sunglasses above his head as in touched it, causing Pelle to stop walking as red marks appeared in his angry face before the moth mask appeared.

"Lie Detector, I am Hawk Moth. You can't stand lies in life? That pathological liar thinks she can get away with her lies to influence people to believe every white and black lie? I'm giving you the power to detect white or black lies from every person you come across. In return, you will give me Ladybug and Cat Noir's miraculous" Hawk Moth manipulating his decision.

"Grrr!!!! I will not let injustice get away from liars!" Pelle accepts it and gets engulfed by dark purple particles.

Trunkk flies away to go and find Ladybug and Cat Noir, or better yet, Luna, before his owner regrets something.

Luna felt like she messed up terribly but she hopes Gabriel comes to his senses before ShadowMoth tries to akumatize Adrien for sure if he gets too isolated in that house.

"I think I messed up," Luna said quietly before hearing people screaming from whatever it was, "Huh?"

"I lied to protect my kids from doing anything terrible!"

"I lied to be famous and get what I want!"

"I lied to just keep my job without getting fired!"

Everyone's lips were either white for white lies or black for black lies. Whichever the victims' lips were colored indicates what kind of lie they used in life, whether harmless or very hurtful.

There stood an akumatized man with VR goggles to scan liars. On his chest was a symbol of justice on, showing he forces people to confess. He spots Luna as he walks up to her. Luna closed her eyes at whatever attack he's gonna use but it never came.

"Don't worry, Luna. I would never hurt you. Your kindness never lies and you never lied about me the day we first met. I would never force you to confess your lies to me. Friends never force things like that" Lie Detector said.

Luna recognized that Swedish accent, "Pelle?"

"I'm Lie Detector and my Justice is to make sure no one makes any more lies. Only confess without having to hide!" Lie Detector said before leaping away.

"Oh, Pelle! What did you do?" Luna ran to transform.

Hiding in the alley to transform quietly, "Clawws, let's hunt!" Her kwami gets sucked into the ring so Luna can transform into Panthera.

Lie Detector was looking for that lying brat in the city but she was good at hiding. She couldn't hide from his lie detector scan in his goggles.

"Grr!!! You can run but you can't hide from your actions, Lila Rossi. No matter how far you'll go!" Lie Detector leaps off the roof to find her.

Cat Noir jumps in front of him, "So, what's gotten you upset? I for one never lie when I confess my love to Milady"

"Feelings don't lie but everyone has something to lie in life, alley cat!" Lie Detector tries to shoot him with laser from his goggles but misses each shot as the lasers hit other civilians to have their lips turn white or black, depending on what kind of lie they use that is harmless or hurtful.

"White lipstick doesn't match my catsuit! Sometimes I do white lies!" Cat Noir jumps to the roof to lure the supervillain away from the crowd.

"And neither does black lipstick! I never liked black lies!" Ladybug swung by.

The butterfly mask appears on Lie Detector's face, "If they think they save the day all the time, they would have never let liars on the loose! You call that justice?" ShadowMoth manipulated him.

"You both think saving the day makes you feel good but where's the term innocent until proven guilty mean to you?!" Lie Detector tries to shoot lasers at them to force them to confess their lies.

"Whoa! Hey! Everyone has to lie in life when it comes to protecting their personal privacy and stuff!" Cat Noir deflected them with his staff, "Forcing to confess everything can be very sensitive you know!"

"That doesn't matter! I'm gonna uncover every lie!" Lie detector targeted Cat Noir.

"Stop! Who told you a lie in the first place?!" Ladybug deflects the lasers with her yo-yo shield.

"Grrr!!! That Rossi brat made a lie about my close friend! No one else checks their facts like real grownups! When I find her, I'll make sure she never makes up more lies about celebrities she never met!" Lie Detector said.

Panthera in hiding heard everything and whatever Lila said to her friend, it obviously made him feel hurt or angry from a hurtful lie.

"He won't calm down until Lila Rossi is here. He can't hurt his friend Luna. It's too risky but Lila needs to apologize sincerely without lying to him" Panthera thought of a plan before her friend gets overly worked up if Lila doesn't show up.

"Track!" She uses her powers to search for her and sees that Lila is on the Couffaine boat, making lies to the Kitty Section about a man threatening her.

"Grrr!!!! Pelle is no liar you brat!" She leaps off the roof to head to the Seine River.

Once there, she landed in a pose on the boat, startling the Kitty Section.

"You!" Lila turns to face her.

Panthera rolled her eyes and grabbed her, "Sorry, guys. But I gotta have a word with her since an akumatized is after her. I suggest you all hide" She suggested before taking Lila on the roof.

Once on the roof, Panthera crossed her arms with a glare, not saying a word until Lila can apologize for making false rumors about her and Blu Tembo.

"It's so nice to meet you. I get it. I just wanted to talk to you in person to tell people how fierce you are" Lila pretending to be innocent.

Panthera made a low growl that she knew she was not being sincere and making lies about her was just very wrong, "Talk? Making a lie about superheroes doesn't seem attractive"

"What did I do?" Lila acts dumb.

"Don't play innocent to me! I never even met you or gave you an autograph. Here I am face to face. I can't prove how much of a troublemaker you are but I know for a fact you got a man akumatized and I know it's not his fault for that. If you don't talk now, I'll just bring you to him and see what kind of a liar you are. Since you claim you are popular on the Gabriel brand, why don't I give you that since you love the center of attention" Panthera chuckled evilly to get her to confess or bait.

"Now now! Take it easy!" Lila got nervous.

"Tell the honest truth or you become bait like a jaguar's prey," Panthera said before she changed her mind.

"Alright! Just take me to him!" Lila gasps.

Ladybug and Cat Noir couldn't hold him off for long and they sure did not want to confess their lies about why they lie to friends and family about their superhero secret. It would give out who they are behind the mask.

"Take their miraculous! Now!" ShadowMoth ordered him in telepathy.

"Not until I find that brat first! If you are a liar, ShadowMoth, you can't lie about your deal!" Lie Detector growled.

"Lie Detector! I'm right here! It's me you want!" Lila showed up while Panthera was in hiding in the alley just so she could detransform in case Lie Detector tried to harm Lila or the superheroes.

"Not her! She's trying to provoke him!" Ladybug groaned in exhaustion.

"No kidding! She would never face against an Akuma for heroic effort" Cat Noir groaned.

"I was wrong to get you mad but I didn't know my actions would hurt you. I'm sorry, I should've been honest with you" Lila really hates telling white lies rather than black lies.

"Your actions threatened me before trying to force me to be your friend against my will! You expect me to forgive you that easily?!" Lie Detector was about to shoot lasers at her.

"Lie Detector!" Luna runs in to stop him before he becomes fully lost to himself.

"Luna?" Lie Detector holds his fire.

"This isn't you! I know how angry you are and you want her to make her pay for what she did but forcing everyone to confess their lies isn't justice, it's revenge! This is one of Shadow Moth's games! You know deep down, Pelle wouldn't do that!" Luna walks up to him bravely before Ladybug and Cat Noir tries to intervene.

"Don't listen to her! She's trying to manipulate your decisions!" ShadowMoth's telepathy lies to him.

"You're not Lie Detector. You're Pelle. Lie Detector is just a terrible name ShadowMoth gave you. Pelle is a sweet guy I first met who defended me from a brat insulting me. That's the guy I like as my true friend. Do you remember how I always said actions speak louder than words? People's actions show their real attitudes, rather than what they say. And my action is being honest with you. Don't let ShadowMoth pull your strings like he always does on other previous victims. Having powers is not freedom or justice from him but to make you do his bidding and selfish gain" Luna hugs him, never wanting to leave him by himself but letting him choose who is honest.

"No! She's trying to trick you! I can sense you're weakening! Do you want that liar to get away with everything?!" Shadow Moth trying to manipulate his decision.

But Lie detector struggled to break free. He hugged Luna to feel the friendship he remembers as Pelle.

"No! She's not lying you bird brain! She would never lie to me like that! Take your blasted powers! AAGGGHHH!!!!" He broke the butterfly telepathy mask along with the connection before getting engulfed with purple particles to transform back to normal.

"Pelle! I'm here!" Luna hugs him.

Ladybug caught the Akuma to purify it, "Bye bye little butterfly" She released it, "Miraculous Ladybug!" She tossed the lucky charm which obviously was an American flag which meant freedom of speech. And it reverted everyone to normal.

Lila was in so much trouble since they were in the alley in private talk. Ladybug and Cat Noir couldn't force Lila to apologize genuinely since she's not capable of speaking honestly. She's far too mental to constantly lie so much that it only gives her the inability to face the consequences of her actions.

"You do know lying so much destroys your well-being. If you truly want to be a better person, you have to seek therapy. Advice is not hurtful but they are improvements. Being honest with yourself is not that hard" Luna said before taking Pelle to the hotel since she knows that her words won't be helpful for a pathological liar.

Pelle sighs that he let Shadowmoth possess him. Even understanding why previous victims get influenced was hard to escape from but he did manage to fight it because of Luna's friendship.

"Don't blame yourself, blame her. She has no business getting in your life so quickly without making proper respect for your boundaries" Luna assured him it wasn't his fault.

"I suppose my advice that day on the Effiel Tower didn't help you at all" Ladybug was disappointed in Lila.

"I suppose giving you second chances was a waste" Cat Noir glared, "And I believe people like you can't be trusted" He adds.

"She's right, you know. Constantly lying can destroy your psyche" Ladybug said before swinging away.

Lila clenched her fists in frustration when the two heroes called out on her, "This is far from over!"
