"Absolutely not. My crew is not doing another one of your jobs Vizago" Hera nearly yelled at the smuggler crossing her arms. Kanan knew why Hera wasn't willing to trust Vizago. Especially for all the countless times they had mearly gotten killed on their suicide missions.

However Kanan was a bit interested since this time it was Vizago who was calling them. He placed a hand on Hera's shoulder saying in a calm voice "Hera wait this could be something important".

He expected Hera to slap him and throw him out into the common room for going on Vizago's side. Instead she just looked shocked at him asking "Kanan have you forgotten what he has done" making sure nothing was wrong with Kanan.

"Of course I remember what he has done to us, but Vizago never contacts us when there is a new job. So maybe this may actually be important to him" Kanan explained.

It took a little bit for Hera to come to terms with it, but she trusted Kanan enough. So she faced toward Vizago asking "Whats the mission".

Happy Vizago clap his hands together explaining "My mining facility on the moon above Ranquo has gone dark. Two days before that I had recieved a message from on of my Captains" pulling out a recorder replaying the message. "Vizago this is Captain Ts-55-55 we found something in the facility. We are uncertain what it is but its caused us to stop production and is starting to approach our head base. All of our other bases have gone dark requesting back up sir.".

After the message ended Vizago continued "After that all communications have been cut off". Hera pondered this information for a bit. She did believe Vizago would be mining some minerals or special gases out of planets. In fact she had seen one of them before, but the thing that was a bit concerning to her was why Vizago wouldn't just send his own men to inspect the base. What was Vizago hiding from them.

Before she got the chance to ask those questions Kanan spoke "So what will you have us doing". Hera nearly smacked Kanan for blabbing his mouth without her getting to ask her questions.

However she had too hear Vizago's voice say "I just want you too go towards my main base and gather any information thats there". After that Vizago sent the coordinates of where the base location was as well as what the rewards were going to be for their success. Then before Hera had the second to ask Vizago any questions the smuggler disappeared.

Hera was left in a still position. Not only that her crew was now doing another job for Vizago, but Kanan also went along with it? He's supposed to be the most cautious of the entire group and yet he just went along with it like nothing.

Hera turned towards Kanan giving him a small glare. Kanan responded "What" before getting smack into the face. "What were you thinking telling Vizago that our crew would go and do his mission thats what" Hera told him angrily.

Kanan back up from Hera raising his arms up in defence saying "Wait Hera let me explain". Hera was going to let Kanan explain himself, but that didn't stop her from standing up and looking terrifying. Especially as she began walking towards him with a small light on her back.

Kanans voice trembled as he explained "Well Love Vizago is sending us towards one of his mining facilities and maybe we can figure out what they were mining as well as who his contacts are". During his explanation he walked backwards from Hera until his back was against the wall and she was right in front of him.

He expected Hera to punch him or choke him. Instead he heard an annoyed sign come from Hera as she put her hand over her head. "I trust you Kanan Jarrus. I always have, but if anythinf happens to my ships or this crew I will personally throw you into space do I make myself clear" Hera asked putting one of her fingers under his chin.

This got her a small nod from the Jedi. After that Hera walked over to her bed lying down on the matress covering up in the blanket. Kanan followed her lying behind her saying "Don't worry Hera, everything will be fine".

This only gave a little bit of comfort. Every single time Vizago was involved something happen, and only 2 times that those incindents were good. So Hera just had to go off of faith this time as she rolled over to face Kanan giving him a quick kiss before she dozed off into sleep whispering "Goodnight Love". "Goodnight to you too love" Kanan repeated as he wrapped his arms around her bringing her close to his chest. Since it was dark it was hard to tell but Kanan could have sworn he saw a smile from Hera as he also dozed off into sleep.

Little did they know that outside Stahl had been eavesdropping on their conversation. Now while questions did pop up inside Stahls mind about why this smuggler would make Hera a bit concerned. He didn't consider Vizago anything other than a nuisance as he went to his room.

Common room around noon

Throughout most of the day most of the crew had been taking it easy. Everyone except Hera and Kanan were in the common room because the two of them had been spending the morning inspecting Vizagos base as well as coming up with a plan.

In the Common Room Ezra sat at the table watching Zeb and Chopper play Dejark. During that time Stahl and Sabine continued to spar with each other so they could break the tie from yesterday. As that continued Ezra watched closely at the two competitors inspecting Zebs face which had a mixture of confidence with some overconfidence in him.

Zeb assumed that the next move would make him win against Chopper as he sent his skinniest character to slowly claw at Choppers heavy hitter. As Choppers piece tumbled to the ground Zeb exclamed in triumph.

However Ezra could already tell what Chopper was planning to do hiding the smile that crept up on his face. Ezra felt Zeb slightly elbow him saying "You see that kid. Thats how you win a battle against this rust bucket. If you want I could teach you". Ezra just let his smile widen as he smartly remark "Thats fine Zeb, I wouldn't want to take advice from someone who isn't even aware of the battle in front of him".

After Zeb heard that he looked over at the holoboard seeing his final piece having a foot over its chest as the victory cried out its battle cry. Zebs face was pure surprised, he didn't want to believe what had just happened. Chopper some how managed to beat him right after he took out his heaviest hitter.

Zebs brain couldn't even wrap around it when he heard Ezra's voice "Now that's how you would win a battle against a smelly Lasat. I hope you were taking notes there big guy". Zeb growled at Ezra balling up his fist at the boy as they all heard Sabine yell.

The three looked over at Sabine who had Stahl in an arm hold throwing him over her shoulder. She tried to punch him while he was on the ground but when Stahl got thrown over he rolled forward back onto his feet. It was just in time to block 2 of Sabines punches as well as a knee and counter strike.

The three watched the two fight for a bit longer before Zeb asked Ezra jokingly "Hey kid how come you aren't in there helping your girl. Your gonna fall behind us all if you don't practice more". Ezra rolled his eyes at Zebs home and laughter remarking back "First off Zeb Sabine doesn't need my help she is more than capale to handle herself. Besides I'm not gonna fall behind anyone, with Kanan's Jedi training as well as Sabine teaching me hoe to fight I will be fine".

Ezra lied back against the sofa feeling proud about what he said. Only problem was he noticed that Zeb as well as Chopper were holding in laughter. Ezra started to get a bit curious as well as concerned as what the two were smiling about.

Ezra turned toward Zeb asking him "What's so funny". Zeb just chuckled a quick second before answering his question "So Sabine is "Training you" huh?". "Yeah she is, what's so funny about it?" Ezra asked Zeb only making the two laugh more as Zeb joked "I hope its not any of "that kind of training"" still laughing. (Sorry for anyone who doesn't like this I just felt like adding this joke)

Ezra didn't understand what Zeb meant by that, but from his and Choppers laughter he didn't want to know what he was meaning by that.

The two continued on fighting until they both had each others hands on the others throat. When that happened the two heard a hiss sound looking over to see Hera and Kanan standing behind the door.

Hera looked at the two kids choking each other shaking her head at them. Hera wasn't in much of a good mood to deal with this so she just brushed the subject off by saying "Alright everyone we have a new mission". She walked over to the holotable followed by Kanan who sat in front of everyone and Sabine who sat next to Zeb.

Once everyone had their eyes trained on Kanan he activated the holotable showing a small planet. "We have another job from Vizago. One of his mining parties has gone offline and Vizago is personally asking us to retrieve the history files for him" Kanan began explaining followed by Zebs scoff at the sound of Vizagos name giving Kanan his own little piece of mind "Kanan are you sure we should be helping Vizago?". Like Hera Kanan understood Zebs worries, so Kanan resured Zeb "Don't worry Zeb I know that we don't really trust Vizago....".

"More like shouldn't" Sabine remarked upset like Zeb. This earned her a glare from Kanan which had no real effect on her. "Like I was saying I know that Vizago isn't a person we should trust, but this mission Vizago is having us doing will benefit us" Kanan continued on.

The hologram zoomed in onto the planets surface until everyone saw a brief image of what Vizagos mining base looked liked. The base was just a small building almost like a hut with two supports that held it up on the side of a cliff.

Since only Kanan and Hera knew that Vizago's place was actually attacked, they were two who knew that the building would be damaged severely. "This is Vizagos main base. When we're in orbit outside the planets atmosphere Ezra, Zeb, Stahl, Sabine, and I will ditatch the phantom from the Ghost and land on the planets surface" Kanan continued explaining.

As everyone else listened to Kanans plan Sabine began having this uneasy feeling that something wasn't right. For Vizago to just simply call them just for an offline base was a bit too weird. The crew was mainly called for for big missions that were too dangerous for Vizago to send his droids for.

This feeling kept on building up inside Sabine until her mouth spoke on its own without her really thinking "What aren't you telling us Kanan". Before she could shut her mouth everyone took a look over at Sabine.

"What do you mean" Kanan asked Sabine wondering why she would ask something like that. It wasn't unusual for Sabine too ask questions given her past, but it wasn't ever when it came to doing jobs for Vizago.

Since Sabine already gotten herself into this mess she might as well finish. "Vizago wouldn't just send us to one of his bases just to retrieve some files".

Hera could tell that Sabine was suspicious about the job, but before Kanan could answer her Hera quickly shut her down "It doesn't matter why Vizago's sending us. All that matters is that we complete the mission and get our share. No Questions Asked".

Sabine crossed her arms avoiding eye contact with Hera. She always did something like this with every single mission and it began to really get on her nerves.

After that Kanan finished up the meeting heading off toward his room to meditate. Not before he said "We'll be there in under an hour. I want everyone prepped by then". Without saying another word the door closed behind him.

After that everyone went to their rooms to prepare except Hera who went back into the cockpit. As she slouched back into her chair she let her mind fog up with her body relaxing a bit. She kept thinking about Sabine's interruption in the meeting. It was a bit annoying that Sabine continuously asked questions she knew she was never gonna get the answer too. Hera did understand why Sabine asked these questions given her past, but she still didn't quite understand why she couldn't have the answers.

A few moments passed before chopper entered the cockpit caring hot coffee in one of his robotic arms. Hera thanked him as she took a sip of the coffee. It warmed her body up helping her relax a little bit.

As she slouched back in her chair Chopper beeped "Do you really think Vizago or this job is really trustworthy Hera?". Hera thought about that since it was the same question she asked Kanan. Cause of that Hera felt obligated to respond to Chopper in the same way "I don't trust Vizago either Chopper, but Kanan is right. Vizago wouldn't come to us if it wasn't something he could handle".

Chopper still didn't feel any easier about the mission and in a huge way so did Hera. However Chopper knew better not to argue with Hera, so he just rolled around and out the door, but not before saying "I hope your right about that. I can't lose another pilot". This left Hera really conflicted as she placed her hand over her head realizing how much was a stake.

Unknown Planet

The Ghost exited hyperspace over the planet. From a distance you wouldn't be able to tell that the planet could contain life or even a breathable atmosphere. The surface looked of a purple color with some white clouds lightly being visible. However the one thing you could expect from that planet is trouble. At least this is what ran through Hera's head as she shifted into focus.

Hera switched on the comms to the Phantom "Alright crew we're above the planet". Through the other link came the sound of Kanan's voice "Copy that Spectre 2 disconnecting from the Ghost" as the ship rumbled a bit. Hera soon saw the Phantom fly towards the planet as she switched on the stabilizer. As the phantom became smaller in the distance Hera whispered to herself "Please stay safe" hoping in some way it would reach out to Kanan.

Phantom

As the Phantom entered the planets atmosphere the inside had darken. Turns out that purple image in orbit was actually just the suns reflection off the clouds that covered the entire planet.

Everyone prepared themselves as Kanan flew deeper into the clouds. Zeb adjusted his bo-rifle so there wouldn't be much burn marks just in case Vizago or the Empire came snooping around after they left. Ezra kept on practicing his breathing since he felt really nervous. Sabine did a maintenance check on her pistols so that the barrels weren't clogged with scorching.

As she finished her first pistol and began checking the second one she began hearing some saying. "As sharp as a blade as silent as night.....". She turned over to the source of who was speaking those words. As she did she nearly fell into shock.

The person who was saying those words was Stahl "....no enemie shall escape my sight". To the others this was just mumbling, but to Sabine it was much more. Back at Mandalore she had been taught these very words. Her teachers had told her that this is what a Mandalorian would tell themselves when they were about to go into a battle they weren't sure they were going to survive. It was also used for motivation so the Mandalorian would give it their all.

Normally it wouldn't be such a big surprise for Zeb to have said it, or Kanan, or even Ezra. But for Stahl to be saying the only member on their team who despised Mandalorians as much as they did the Empire, something was up.

Sabine just kept on starring at Stahl as he finished "If I fall then let me die taking my enemies life tonight" opening his eyes. Sabine quickly went back into her original position working on her other pistol to try and convince Stahl. It didn't but from the way he just stared at the wall it seemed like he didn't care much about it.

After a few more rumbles later the ship settled into a balanced calm flight. Both Sabine and Stahl stood up and walked over to the flight controls. As they looked outside they were intrigued a bit. The planets surface was completely composed of rock, you couldn't see any kind of plant life in miles. The ground was the color of black giving off a small shade of purple from the extremely tiny amount of sunlight that hit the ground.

Kanan kept flying the ship East for a few more miles. Then they came across Vizagos base. From a distance nothing seemed wrong with the base. As they came closer though the damage looked so sever to where Sabine muttered a "woah".

Kanan flew the ship around the base a few times to inspect the damage. Much of the base had scorching from where the blaster bolts had hit, the pillars that held the balcony from falling inside the cliff had been shot up so much that only 2 rails were keeping the entire base from falling over. The only thing that didn't look damaged was the thin railing at the edge of the balcony.

Kanan made one last sweep around the base before coming to turms that the base seemed in a stable enough condition. However to Sabine and Stahl something didn't seem right, but there was no time to talk about it because the ship soon landed with the back doors opening.

As everyone exited the ship to limber up real quick Sabine still kept this feeling of insecurity that the way the base was damaged that something wasn't correct. The scorch marks as well as the balcony damage were too well aimed. The scorch marks were hit directly to where the base wouldn't suffer significant damage, it even seemed to be in good enough condition to still have power. As for the balcony supports they had all been shot at the bottom so they would hang off the base and eventually drag it down.

Still without exact proof of this Sabine couldn't confirm that it was the Empires doing. She did however make sure that the two people that would be with her in the base was at least aware. She looked over at Ezra acting all foolish trying to limber up. She smiled at him as she tapped him on the shoulder.

As the two looked at each other exchanging a quick smile Sabine warned Ezra "Ezra listen something is wrong here". As she expected Ezra had no idea what she was talking about. "I can't explain it but the way that base is torn up something just doesn't seem right. I want you to promise me you will keep on guard" Sabine ordered.

Ezra nodded his head promising that he would keep his promise. Kanan soon called everyone towards the base. Zeb and Ezra ran up behind him to hear whatever he had to say, but Stahl hanged back with Sabine knowing what she was thinking.

Stahl was the one who spoke first "I saw it too Sabine". Not making eye contact with him she began speaking "The base is too well of a coordinated assault that I'm beginning to think that Vizagos base was attacked by the Empire". The crew soon approached the base and Stahl's last word to Sabine was "Be on Guard".

As the two caught up with Kanan the Jedi was inspecting the front entrance of the base. The entrance was just like the rest of the base, scorches all over the front of the building.

Watching Kanan continue to inspect the entrance for a little longer began to wore off on Stahl. He pushed past Kanan to the entramce of the base. As he did Kanan grabbed his shoulder saying "Spectre 7 what are you doing" with annoyance in his voice.

Stahl brushed off Kanans hand simply saying "I'm going inside the base since your ass wants to be Sherlock" going inside the base.

As the door closed behind Stahl Kanan just stood there a bit irritated, but regrettably Stahl was right. Kanan quickly ordered Ezra and Sabine to follow behind Stahl since the pillars would probably only hold a couple of more people.

Once the doors closed behind Sabine and Ezra they both grabbed their flashlights looking around. The inside of the base looked to be in far worse condition than the outside. Much of the stuff was disorganised over the floor with burning marks everywhere.

Sabine took it the hardest, the lack of any artistic nature in the building even with the scorch marks made her want to throw up. Before she did anything else she ordered Ezra "Hey Ezra go find Stahl while I do some decorating".

Ezra nodded and walked off leaving Sabine to paint Vizagos base. Ezra entered the next room to find a replica of the main room. Despite this being a base the building was quite small only having two rooms with a door that lead to the balcony which was opened so some light was coming in.

Ezra looked around the room a little longer before he noticed a consol with Stahl in it. Ezra walked over to him crouching down at his side asking "Stahl what are you doing". Stahl kept on reconnecting a few loose wires answering "I noticed a power source in the back. I believe if I'm able to get these wires reconnected that maybe we should be able to activate the console and get the files we need".

After that Ezra had to spend about 2 hours waiting for Stahl to finish reconnecting the wires. Ezra had already told Sabine what was going on which she kept on painting since all she would do is get in the way. Ezra occasionally checked up on Sabine wrapping his arms around giving out some quick pecks on the cheek before going back to waiting with Stahl.

When Stahl finally finished rewiring the data transfer he reconnected the metal covered and gave Ezra the thumbs up. The power soon came on through out the entire building for a short second before the lights burned out.

Everything had seemed to short circuit except the consol. Stahl called Sabine over in which she took over the consol scrolling through the data files.

As Sabine did Ezra heard a feint sound coming from inside the room. Ezra looked around and located the source to be a small red light blinking at a slow steady pace. Ezra approached the button hearing only mumbling from Sabine and Stahl.

"The files were looking for wouldn't be this easy to find. If anything knowing Vizago they would be encrypted with an older code" Sabine told Stahl as she approached the last of the recent file reports. Sabine did turn out to be right, the last file they approached was encrypted in a older code.

Both of them smiled as they found what they came for. Sabine began typing the bypass code that she knew letting Stahl know that it would take her a few minutes. She recieved a pat on the back for those wonderful news as Stahl looked over to what Ezra was doing.

What Stahl saw he instantly regretted. Ezra's finger was only a few inches away from a blinking button that only spelled trouble. Stahl was too late to stop Ezra yelling "Ezra wait!" as he pressed the button now realising what he just did.

There was suddenly a rumble from beneath them with a loud noise. Then another one appeared followed by a whole bunch more. Then suddenly the base began tipping over towards the cliff throwing everything and everyone off their balance.

From the outside the three heard Kanan yell "Spectres get out of there". On instinct Ezra pulled Sabine over to him with the force followed by Stahl who sent her flying out the base. Kanan saw Sabine and was able to use the force to land her down safely.

Ezra and Stahl got to their feet and were about to start running before another rumble tipped the base 90 degrees causing Stahl to fall on the rails with Ezra right behind him. Stahl barely managed to catch Ezra, but the sudden weight made Stahl fall down with him forcing Stahl to grab onto the rail with his left hand.

The sudden force on it nearly dislocated his arm, but it was at the moment still movable. As Stahl hanged on the base began to rumble even more slowly losing its grip on the railings.

Stahl tried to concentrate on figuring out how to get Ezra to the top, but with Ezra begging "Please don't drop me please don't drop me please don't drop me" it was difficult. To make him shut up Stahl glared down at Ezra threatening "If you don't shut up I will" making Ezra not peep another word.

With the few seconds Stahl got he knew what was going to happen. He ordered Ezra to turn on his comm link and when Kanans voice came through from the other end Stahl said "Kanan Ezra and I are hanging on the railing. In about 3 seconds I'm gonna force push him up but I can't do it all the way". "Got it. I'll be ready" Kanan responded soon cutting off the link.

Stahl didn't waste much time because the base was about to go. He quickly loomed down at Ezra saying "Ok Ezra on the count of three". "What about you" Ezra asked Stahl worried about how he would get up too. Stahl didn't give Ezra an answer he just began counting "One.....Two......Three".

The second he said three he used all of his strength to lift Ezra up into the air followed by a force push sending Ezra screaming and flying. Ezra only managed to get halfway up the building before he slowed to a stop.

Luckily Kanan was ready and began pulling Ezra up to safety. Once Ezra was on the cliff with Everyone else Kanan yelled down at Stahl "Spectre 7 Ezra's safe your turn". However from the bottom of the base Kanan heard Stahl yell back at him "Don't you damn dare. I'll get myself up".

Stahl soon pulled himself up the rails to where he could get a good footing. His left shoulder still hurt from the sudden pull from Ezra, but with the base now beginning to fall he was just going have to deal with the pain.

As the base began descending Stahl grabbed onto the door quickly jumping up across the room to the next door. Stahl placed his foot on the next door jumping up through the main room about to get out of the base.

However half-way up the room the world around him began to slow down as a silent slow beeping began filling the room. Stahl looked across the room with concern filling him as a grenade fell from a box beeping and blinking red.

With one a second to react Stahl created a small protective barrier to stop the explosion from burning him up. The force however that came from the grenade was enough that it sent Stahl across the room smacking right into the wall.

The impact on Stahls head knocked him unconscious as he descended down the cliff still inside the base.

From up top Kanan, Zeb, and Ezra only watched in worry as the base fell deeper down the cliff soon falling into the darkness at the bottom. Kanan activated his comm link frantically yelling "Spectre 7 do you copy. Spectre 7 respond" hoping something would come up. When the sound of static filled the air Zeb yelled out of instinct "Useless are you still alive". Still nothing came through.

Not knowing weather Stahl had survived the fall or not Kanan quickly contacted Hera saying "Spectre 1 to Ghost we have a problem". Hera could hear the worriness in Kanans voice asking "What happened". "An explosion caused the base to fall. Spectre 7 was still inside when it fell" Kanan explained.

The sound of the Ghosts engines were heard through the comm link followed by Hera's voice "I'm on my way".

When the link was disconnected Kanan and Zeb quickly ran back to the Phantom trying to get the engines fired up. Ezra ran over to Sabine to make sure he was ok. When he did he was meet with a punch to the stomach followed by an angry "What the KRIFF were you think Ezra.".

Ezra didn't respond, instead he just kept holding on to his stomach avoiding eye contact with her since she was mad. Sabine would have continued to yell at him if she didn't worry about what had happened to Stahl. She grabbed Ezras shoulder dragging him back to the Phantom as they took off and began flying down into the cliff.

This is where I'm gonna end things for now. Sorry it took me so dang long to update this chapter. Hopefully you all enjoy this chapter and from now on I'm gonna start adding pictures to help improve my art skills. I'll update when I can. Until I do.
