Chapter 18

Hope this chapter is better than the others, my writing skills aren't top notch so if you could cut me some slack. Also, there may be a lot of mistakes because I'm using my laptop. Enjoy.

"Really, you really think so?"

"Of course I do, nobody can do it better."

Two children sat in front of three objects (Ball, shoe box, plastic cup) glaring at them tiredly, the summer sun had really gotten to them. The tallest was frustrated and at the point of throwing the objects. He hadn't been able to lift them with his magic and it was really getting to him. The smaller one was light hearted and kept trying to cheer the other on, even though what he did had failed and he was getting no where. Well, except for the fact that he was calming him somewhat down.

"Come on, try again you get it."

He still tried though.

"Later than sooner."

The tallest (oldest) have off a negative vibe.

"Come on, one more time. If you get it, I'll promise you anything."

They both hated making promises. The oldest looked over at the child nest to him who had a big bright beaming smile on his face.

"Okay, only because what I want you to promise will never be broken."

He stood up, his bare feet felt the grass spiking his feet making him uncomfortable, but he was not giving up this time. He raised his hand and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath of unneeded air and blue strings flashed around his fingers. He concentrated on the shoe box and the strings wrapped around the box loosely. Some strings were dangling.

The younger child sat in awe at how much effort the oldest one was putting in just for a promise.

The oldest bent his fingers just barely tightening the grip and slightly pulling the box close to him. He opened his eyes and a smile immediately appeared on his face.

"You did it!"

"I DID IT!"

The oldest threw himself at the younger child and was giggling happily as if he was just giving entire chocolate cake that he told was only for him.

"Now, about that promise..."

"What is it you want me to promise?"

"Promise... promise that no matter what happens, life or death, we will always be best friends."

The younger one blinking puzzled. Out of everything he could have picked, that's what he picks?! He shook his head mentally.

"Okay, I promise."

"Thanks Ink."

"Your welcome Error."

Erry sleepily opened his eyes and yawned. the sound of beeping made him rub his eyes and look around. He lifted his arms finding wires connected to his arms and machines monitoring his body for anything suspicious. He chuckled. 'And I thought I was the one pulling the strings.' he thought. He covered his eyes  with his arm and frowned. He wondered what that was, wasn't the smaller version the child? It was fuzzy but her was able to remember important bits and pieces. He forced himself up in a sitting position and noticed a certain skeleton laying beside him. It made him smile. He tried to speak but all the came out was a cough. He felt sick and dizzy. He shook his head as glitches and the word ERROR swarmed his vision.

Shaking his head wasn't helpful so he just laid back down. He eventually fell back asleep.

"You think he's gonna remember anything?"

"I doubt it, he'd already be up and trying to kill us."

"True, but what about Ink? he hasn't left his bedside for weeks."

"I don't know what's gonna happen Blue, but we need to do something to help the two."

"I just hope Error's okay and that Nightmare isn't doing anything stupid."

"Hey look, he's showing movement again."

"Maybe he'll wake up this time."

"Yeah, let's just leave him be for now.'

Erry slowly opened his eyes and yawned stretching. "Uhhhg... *cough*" He slowly sat up and the skeleton there before was gone. He rubbed his eyes and yawned again. He looked around the room seeing messy clothes everywhere and a tornado in the corner of the room which only confused him.

"He's my friend and I am not giving up on him, he'll wake up soon. I made a promise and I am not breaking it!"

The door opened and an anger skeleton stood in the doorway and yelling but eventually had enough and slammed the door loudly making Erry cringe. "Uhi... gg... *cough*" the skeleton looked over seeing Erry and tears started streaming down his face like it had been years since they last met.

"Erry?"

He said running over and hugging the confused and sick skeleton. "Ink, get off him, you're he's still recovering!" he felt someone pull Ink off him and he fell back on his pillow dizzy. "Uhhhhh..." he shook his head and coughed. His mouth felt dry. "Go get him something to eat." Blue said and sat down on Erry's bed side. Erry stared at him and sneezed. Blue went to put his hand to Erry's forehead but Erry quickly scooted back feeling even more dizzy and falling back again on his pillow. "don't move so much kid, you're only gonna hurt yourself." he felt a warm sensation touch his head and he smiled loving it. he love it so much he grabbed it and squeezed it tightly. "Welp, his fever went down a bit so that's good news but he seems a bit off." Blue sighed as Erry fell back asleep holding his hand. "Probably because him and the kid are so far apart. They were always near each other so maybe they share energy or something." Orbit said and as Erry woke up again.

Blueberry came into the room with a taco and water. "Come on bud, you need to sit up." Blue tried to help Erry sit up and eventually Erry was leaning against the wall. "Drink this."

Erry couldn't see because his vision was blurry from him being so dizzy, sick, an weak. He just opened his mouth. "There ya go, doesn't that feel better?" Blue asked getting Erry to nod tiredly. "Need... kid..." he managed to to get out. "So they do share energy, but that kid is the battery." Erry looked around trying to see who was talking but he couldn't see. "Come on, let's just try to take care of him and figure out a plan to get error back here." Carrot said puffing out smoke in every direction. "Blue... hug..." Erry said his eyes lids drooping. He was oblivious to what was going on but asking for a hug wouldn't anyone, would it? Blue sighed hugging the sick glitch before he fell back on his pillow and back asleep.

"Don't worry, we'll get you back into shape and everything will hopefully go back to what it was before."

"Please stop, I don't like this."

Error was on Nightmares bed as Nightmare was filling his head with nightmares and negative thoughts. It hurt and all Error could do is cry and hope the pain would go away.

But the pain would never go away, he's been at this for a couple of weeks but he just wasn't giving in. "You're just as stubborn as my brother just go to sleep already.'

Horror could do nothing but watch and tremble with fear.

Dust was feeling slight guilt and worry for the child, worried he might die.

"I need to tell Cross."

_______________

Yeah, I posting this at 11:06 is not good but I'm bored and decided to do what I needed to do... when I'm bored. That didn't make any sense, then again I can't remember a time where I made sense.

So I looked back on the comments and someone was confused so I will be helpful and tell you in the simplest way I can. Erry didn't make it to the portal in time and so the connection was cut. Spirits and there bodies, in this case other versions, can get connections cut so both the body and spirit won't be able to connect again. However, these two beings technically being the same person will eventually reconnect and Erry will go back to his flashing ghoat stage, if you want him to stay as he is now just say something and I'll see what happens. VOTE FOR GHOST ERRY OR NORMAL ERRY!
