Chapter Two-The Thing You Love Most
↬Chapter Two-The thing you love most↬

I only own Jade/Camilla and my ideas.
Camilla was walking towards Mary Margaret's house as she normally does, so that they can talk to each other about problems that they have or what ever they had on their mind. For as long as the Hopper girl can remember, Mary Margaret had been there for her, she didn't even realise it but she considered the black-haired woman as a mother figure considering that she doesn't know who her mother was and the fact that Mary Margaret was always there for her, even if she couldn't talk to her father about it.
"I shall destroy your happiness, if it is the last thing I do." Regina told as she stared at the couple.
Both The Evil Queen and Jade turned around and headed towards the door. Prince Charming called after the duo by yelling, "Hey!"
They both turn around as the Prince throws his sword at them, but both of them dissipates before it hits either of them.
The Evil Queen and Jade Stiltskin appears in another castle of which the Queen lived in. The prince's sword sticks into a wall, considering that by the time Regina teleported them out, the sword was in reach of going with them. A man stood to the side as he held a tray with drinks on it.
"Would you like something to drink?" Henry, Regina's father asked the both of them. Jade simply shook her head, she liked the man considering that he treated her like she was an actual person instead of the cowards daughter.
"Do I look like I need a drink?" The Queen spat towards her father. At time Jade thought that the way that Regina spoke to her father was just disgusting.
"I was only trying to help." Her father stated as he hands the Evil Queen a glass.
"Thank you." She gave her father a small smile before turning to Jade and saying, "you can leave, your service to me today was great." Jade done a little bow as to say 'thank you' before she left to go to the room of which Regina allowed her to have.
Hours had passed and The Evil Queen had dragged the poor Stiltskin child to a place of which were other evil beings who, just like her, wanted her happy ending. They all stood at the end of a forest around a fire as various things are being thrown into the fire by the Queen herself.
"Who among us is tired of losing? That's why I called you here. To put an end to our misery. Today, we claim victory and move to a new, better realm. A place where we can finally win." The Evil Queen said as she grinned. On one side of her was the Queens father and on the other was the faithful companion.
"And we'll be happy?" The blind witch asked.
"I guarantee it. But first, I need something from you. A lock of hair from those with the darkest souls. You must trust me. Because if you don't, there are other ways." Regina stated as the trees around them start to grow taller until the group is completely surrounded. The people in the group relent, and each give a lock of their hair.
"A wise decision. All that remains is the final ingredient. The prized heart from my childhood steed. The glorious beast whose passing will fuel our victory. Let my wrath be unleashed." The Evil queen grinned as she walked around and collected the hair, she then placed it into the fire.
The Queen removed the heart is removed from it's box and throws it into the fire. A large pillar of smoke appears briefly, but then suddenly disappears. Laughter is then heard in the background.
Jade tried to stop herself from laughing at the Queen's failure of the Dark Curse being casted.
"Yeah, you really unleashed something, there." The gnome laughed as he pointed towards the Queen.
The Evil Queen turned the Gnome to stone, knowing that no one should make fun of her.
"I never said I did." Emma called out to the ten-year-old as he ran into the playground.
"Why else would you be here?" Henry asked as he ran into the school.
Both Mary Margaret and Camilla notice Emma and they both approaches her.
"It's good to see his smile back." Mary Margaret said.
"It is, I haven't seen him smile like that, for like a month or so." Camilla joined into the conversation.
"I didn't do anything." Emma said as she looked as if both of the women in front of her was accusing her of something.
"You stayed. So, does the Mayor know you're still here?" Mary Margaret asked Emma.
"Oh, she knows. What is her deal? She's not a great people person. How did she get elected?" Emma responded with a question.
"She's been mayor for as long as I can remember. No one's ever been brave enough to run against her. She inspires quite a bit of, well, fear. I'm afraid I only made that worse by giving Henry that book. Now he thinks she's the Evil Queen." Mary Margaret explained.
"I don't like her that much, even if she is The evil queen or not, she creeps me out." Camilla stated with a shrug.
"Who does he think you are?" Emma asked.
"Oh, it's silly." Mary Margaret said as if she was embarrassed to say.
"I just got five minutes of silly. Lay it on me." Emma stated with her hands on her hips.
"Snow White. Who does he think you both are?" Mary Margaret asked, directing the question to both of them.
"He thinks that I'm Jade Stiltskin." Camilla told the black-haired woman with a slight shrug as if she didn't care.
"I'm not in the book. Can I ask you a favour? Regina mentioned the kid's in therapy. Do you know where I could find the doctor?" Emma asked. Mary Margaret told her the answers to the question of which she asked.
As Mary Margaret's class sat outside while Miss. Blanchard taught her class with Camilla helping out the other students who were stuck. The lesson proceeded as Regina walked down the street to where Henry, Mary Margaret, Camilla and his class were.
"-water, synthesize." Mary Margaret read as she walked up and down the grass below her feet.
"Ahem. May I speak with my son?" Regina asked catching the attention of everyone.
"Can't it wait? I'm sure that whatever it is, can wait." Camilla responded as she stood up from where she was.
"Camilla has a point, we are in the middle of a lesson. Is it important?" Mary Margaret asked the Mayor of which was look at the teacher.
"Do you think I'd be here if it wasn't?" Regina asked, her time of voice sounded offended. The mayor walked over towards her adopted son and pulled him over to the side. Camilla was still in earshot if the conversation.
"Henry, sweetie, I have some bad news. The woman who you brought here - she's been arrested. She broke into Dr. Hopper's office and stole his files. She's a con woman. She's trying to learn about us in order to take advantage of us. That's why she's sticking around. I'm sorry." Regina said to the boy in front of her. Camilla was confused to why Emma would do something like that, Camilla thought that she wasn't like that. Yes the brown-haired woman didn't know the blonde that well, but she knew that blondie wouldn't do something like breaking and entering, let alone stealing.
"No, you're not." Henry told his mother, who was crouched down in front of him.
"I know you think otherwise, but all I'm doing is trying to protect you. This is going to be good for us. You'll see. Things will be better." Regina smiled at her son before the bell rang.
"I got to get back to class." Henry said as he ran off into the school for his next lesson. Regina watched her son run into the school but as she went to walk back to her house, or wherever she was going, she was stopped by the brown-eyed female.
"Really Regina? Emma breaking and entering? She doesn't seem like the type of person to do that." Camilla stated as she crossed her arms, waiting for an answer from the Mayor.
"She did, and luckily enough your father reported it to the police who should be placing Emma in her cell any time soon." Regina responded to the female in front of her before the Mayor pushed passed Camilla, after a few moments she heard the mayor ask, "pick Henry up at 5, yeah? I'll be with you, I'll buy you dinner before Henry's therapy session." Camilla nodded to agree.
Henry, Mary Margaret and Camilla were walking through the police station, as they got closer they heard Graham say, "Well, she's the Mayor. She has her hands in everything."
"Including the police force?" They heard Emma asked. At that point Henry had run into the office/cell part of which Graham and Emma were in.
"Hey!" Henry said as he ran in, Camilla and Mary Margaret were right behind him.
"Henry! Henry, what are you doing here?" Graham asked, shooting the kid a confused look.
"His mother told him what happened." Camilla told the sheriff.
"Of course she did. Henry, I don't know what she said-" Emma started before getting cut off by the little boy, who said, "You're a genius."
"What?" Emma asked the boy in confusion, in all honesty Camilla was slightly confused by all of this, she didn't even know why she was here.
"I know what you were up to. You were gathering intel for Operation Cobra." Henry said in a not so hushed voice.
"I'm sorry. I'm a bit lost." Graham stated as he looked at the boy.
"Finally, sheriff, something we can agree on!" Camilla grinned as the Sheriff shot her a look.
"It's need to know, Sheriff. Camilla I'll tell you about it later. And, Sheriff, all you need to know is that Miss Blanchard's going to bail her out." Henry told. Everyone in the room shot Henry a confused look to what he had just said.
"You are? Why?" Emma asked.
"I think I'll like to know that as well." Camilla said as she looked over to the woman next to her.
Mary Margaret ignored what Camilla had said before responding to what Emma had previously asked by saying, "I, uh, trust you."
Emma broke into a grin as she turned to the Sheriff and said, "Well, if you can uncuff me, I have something to do."
Regina, her Father and Jade were standing at the place where the attempted of the Dark Curse had failed.
"Maybe it's for the best. The forces you are summoning are darker than we can conceive." Henry told his Daughter.
"Nothing's for the best, as Long as good stands, us 'villains' will never get a happy ending." Jade said bluntly as she stood on the right hand side of the Queen.
"Jade's right Father, Now you're trying to protect me?" The queen asked his father who stood on her left.
"It's what I do." Henry responded.
"Doesn't seem like it." Jade mumbled, the Queen ignored her as she said, "I know. You're the only one who does."
"Helping you is my life." Henry gave his child a small smile. Jade stepped back a few feet so that Regina and her dad could have a father-daughter like conversation.
"Well then help me understand why this curse isn't working." Regina complained, Jade felt sorry for the woman, all she ever wanted was to be happy and if it meant ruining other people's lives, Jade supported her.
"If you want to know that, then you need to back to the person who gave it to you in the first place. Revenge is a dark and lonely road and once you go down it, there is no heading back." Henry told The Queen.
"What is there for me to head back to?" Regina asked, her facial expression showed that it looked as if she wanted to cry or something.
****
The Evil Queen and Jade were at the dungeon of which Rumpelstiltskin was being kept. There were mice everywhere, and all that Jade knew was that the Queen was one of the many mice.
The Queen has told Jade to stay quite far from the cage of which held her Father. Regina had dragged her there even after she protested agains it, the only thing that made Jade come was the fact that Regina had threatened her life.
"It's just us, dearie. You can show yourself." Rumplestiltskin's voice was heard throughout the caves corridor. As Jade peered round the corner she saw one of the mice transform into the Evil Queen.
"That curse you gave me - it's not working." The Queen said. Jade watched the two, as much as she would hate to say this, she did miss her Father but at the same time she didn't, considering what he had done to her.
"Oh so worried. So, so worried. Like Snow and her lovely new husband." Rumplestiltskin responded with his arms flapping around.
"What?" The queen asked.
"They paid me a visit, as well. They were very anxious...about you and the curse and your assistant." The Dark One responded as he had his face cage and hands wrapped around the bars.
"What'd you tell them?" The Queen asked as she walked near the cage.
"The truth! That nothing can stop the darkness. Except, of course, their unborn child. You see, no matter how powerful, all curses can be broken. Their child is the key. Of course, the curse has to be enacted first." Rumple told as he went slightly back into the prison.
"Tell me what I did wrong." The Queen said.
"For that, there's a price." Rumpelstiltskin stated.
"What do you want?" The queen asked. Jade couldn't work out their exact facial expressions but she was happy that the Dark One didn't know that his Daughter was just round the corner.
"Simple. In this new land, I want comfort. I want a good life." The man told the Witch.
"Fine. You'll have an estate. Be rich." Regina gave in as long as she got what she needed.
"I wasn't finished. There's more!" Rumplestiltskin grinned.
"There always is with you." The witch stated.
"In this new land, should I ever come to you for any reason, you must heed my every request. You must do whatever I say. So long as I say 'please'." The Dark One said with a slight fake laugh.
"You do realize, that should I succeed, you won't remember any of this." Regina told the man behind the bars.
"Oh, well then. What's the harm?" Rumple said. Jade wanted to bang her head repeatedly on the wall as she didn't want to hear another word of this, all that she wanted to do was come here, get the answer that they needed and then leave.
"Deal. What must I do to enact this curse?" The queen asked.
"You need to sacrifice a heart." Rumple told. Jade wanted to physically scream as that's what the queen had already done.
"I sacrificed my prized steed." Regina stated.
"A horse? This is the curse to end all curses. You think a horse is going to do? Great power requires great sacrifice. The heart you need must come from something far more precious." Rumplestiltskin's voice sounded pissed off, Jade looked round the corner to see that Rumple held Regina's neck, she stepped out of her spot and threw one of her knives. The knife hit the bar next to his head, Jade saw the way that her Father jumped ever so slightly.
"Next time, it'll be the head. So release the Queen and you won't have a knife hanging from your skull." Jade threatened as she walked closer to the cage with another two knives in both of her hands.
"Who might this be?" Rumplestiltskin asked as he released Regina from his hold.
"It's-" Jade went to say before she got cut off by Rumplestiltskin saying, "now, now let me guess...Jade."
Rumples face dropped ever so slightly at the sight of his Daughter who he hadn't seen in over four hundred years.
"Hello, Father or should I say the village coward." Jade grinned. Before either of them could say anything, the Queen said, "Tell me what will suffice for the curse."
"The heart of the thing you love most." Rumple responded almost instantly.
"What I love most died because of Snow White." The queen told
"Ooh. Is there no one else you truly love?" Rumples said in a childish voice, Jade rolled her eyes at the man in front of her, "This curse isn't going to be easy. Vengeance never isn't, dearie. You have to ask yourself the simple question. How far are you willing to go?" Rumplestiltskin continued.
"As far as it takes." The Queen sneered.
"Then please don't waste everyone's time and just do it. You know what you love. Now go kill it." That was the last thing Rumplestiltskin told the Queen before her and Jade went off.
Henry had forced Camilla to come round his considering that Regina was at her office. Camilla shot Regina a text to say that she was looking after Henry for a few hours considering that he asked.
"Wait, what's Operation Cobra, again?" The Hopper child asked Henry confused as she opened the door to the Mills house.
"It's the curse that The Evil Queen creates and now Emma is here to break it, to bring back all the happy endings." Henry explained. Camilla nodded a little in understanding.
"So that was what you and Emma was talking about a few days ago?" Camilla asked thinking about the conversation with Emma and Henry at the castle. They both sat down at the Dining room table as the conversation proceeded.
"Yeah," Henry responded as he got out his Once Upon A Time book, he opened the book to the page which showed The Evil Queen and another person standing in front of Rumpelstiltskin's cell, "see that's you." Henry pointed to the female with daggers in her hands.
Camilla grinned a little before saying, "seriously? I'm nothing like her. That character seems way more interesting than me, I mean she's holding daggers!"
Henry and Camilla sat there for about two hours flicking through the book, Henry told her which character he thought was a person in the town. He thought that Emma was the daughter of Snow White who he believed was Mary Margaret. He thought that Archie was Jiminy Cricket. He also thought that Regina was the Evil Queen, the list went on with people he thought were fictional characters.
Camilla looked at her phone and said, "shit, Henry we've gotta go. We're meant to meet your mother at her office in like ten minutes."
"Language!" Henry smiled as Camilla rolled her eyes. Both of them stood up and left.
They both managed to get to the Mayors office in time, Camilla turned to Henry and said, "I'll wait outside as you go up to your mother okay?" Henry nodded and ran into the building.
Camilla must have been waiting outside of the building before Henry came running out, it was clear to the Hopper child that something was said to offend him in a way. Henry ran up to Camilla and held onto her waist as he cried.
*****
Both Henry and Camilla walked into Granny's, Henry took a seat in the spot of which they always sit at as Camilla ordered two hot chocolates with cinnamon and some food before his therapy session of which she sits through.
Ruby handed the Hopper child two cups before asking, "what's wrong with Henry?"
"He overheard something which upset him." Camilla responded with a small sigh. She went over to Henry who was reading his book.
As Camilla sat down, the Mills boy wiped the tears that had fallen down his cheek.
"Henry, what happened?" Camilla asked the sad boy in front of her, it always upset her knowing that Henry was sad. Little did they know a glowing eyed shadow was watching them talk.
"Emma said I was crazy because of Operation Cobra." Henry told the girl.
"Awe, Henry your not crazy, you're a special boy." Camilla stated as she placed her hands over his which were holding the cup.
*****
Camilla had walked Henry to Archie's therapy session. She had told the sad boy that she would be in the same room if she needed him, as the Hopper girl always was.
Ten minutes had passed and Henry was playing with Archie's umbrella, the man released a sigh before saying, "Are you sure you don't want to talk about it? You know, that umbrella kind of is my good luck charm. Is that why you think I'm Jiminy Cricket?"
Henry continued to play with the umbrella before he responded, "I don't think you're anyone."
Before anything else could be said, Emma barged into the room, Camilla let out a sigh.
"Here we go. Release the Swan." Camilla muttered. Archie ignored the statement his daughter had made before saying, "Miss Swan! Look, I can explain. The Mayor forced me to-"
Emma cut him off and said, "I know. Don't worry about it. I get it. Henry, I'm sorry." She bent down so that she was eye level with her son.
"I don't want to talk to you." Henry stated, as he still played with Dr. Hoppers umbrella.
"Miss Swan, if she knew you were here-" Camilla started before getting cut off.
"To hell with her. Henry, there is one simple reason I stayed here. You. I wanted to get to know you." Emma told the boy.
"You think I'm crazy." Henry huffed. Camilla felt sorry for the boy considering that his birth mother thought he was crazy.
"No, I think the curse is crazy. And it is. But, that doesn't mean that it isn't true. It is a lot to ask anyone to believe in, but there are a lot of crazy things in this world. So what do I know. Maybe it is true." Emma told the boy.
"But you told my mom." Henry stated as he thought back to the conversation he had overheard earlier.
"What she needed to hear. What I do know, is that if the curse is real, the only way to break it is by tricking the Evil Queen into thinking that we are non-believers. Cause that way, she's not on to us. Isn't that what Operation Cobra was all about? Throwing her off the trail?" Emma asked the boy.
"Nice idea Emma." Camilla said as Henry yelled, "Brilliant!"
"I've read the pages and, Henry, you are right. They are dangerous. There is only one way to make sure that she never sees them." Emma got up from kneeling down and threw the pages into the fireplace. She turned back to the little group and said, "Now we have the advantage."
"I knew you were here to help me." Henry smiled.
"To help us." Camilla corrected, Henry grinned as the thought of both Camilla and Emma helping him with Operation Cobra.
"That's right, kid. I am. And nothing, not even a curse, is going to stop that." Emma smiled.
Emma and Henry had left the therapy room, Archie and Camilla was left alone.
"Dad, what happened between you and Emma?" The child asked her father.
"Don't worry about it. Go to bed, it's getting late and you've got a trip tomorrow." Dr. Hopper told as they both hugged.
"Night Dad." Camilla smiled as she went off to bed. She changed into her Peter Pan pyjamas. For some reason she had an obsession with the movie, she didn't know why, she just did.
The brown-eyed female slept as the shadow watched over her, it heard her mumble things such as, "no, no, please no!" Or other things like "I'm unwanted, Peter. I'm nothing more than a ghost." The shadow watched the poor girl in confusion, it didn't know what the hell was going on in her head.
The girl in the navy blue cloak backed away from the local villagers who had surrounded her as she had walked to the woods for her training session with the common thief, Robin Hood.
"Look there she is! There's that whore of a girl." A man yelled not only grabbing the attention of every other villager but the girl herself.
The villagers piled out of their houses with pitch-forks and lightened sticks, they all strode over to the girl with the weapons. Jade froze on the spot not knowing what to do, she heard the familiar giggle from none other than Rumplestiltskin.
"Better run, dearie." He laughed as he joined in with the crowd that now had her backed away in a corner.
She didn't know what to do, all that she wanted to do was burst into tears, she didn't know what she done to this people to make them hate her this much to the point where they considered to burn her alive.
"Kill her!" A male voice boomed as another yelled, "let's set her on fire!" The yelling only grew worse.
Tears were rolling down her face as she quickly wiped it away. The villagers grew closer and closer, then suddenly everything changed around her. She looked around the place to see that she was in a jungle type place, she didn't know where she was but the one thing she definitely knew was that she wasn't in the enchanted forest anymore.
Jade got out her knives just to put her mind at rest a little to know that she was at least safe from anything that came.
"Are you lost?" A male voice asked, the voice sounded young. Jade turned around to see a fairly cute boy standing in front of her, the male voice said, "you look lost."
"I-im not...okay maybe I am. Where am I? What even is this place?" Jade asked the boy, he grinned a little before he responded with, "Neverland."
"Neverland?" The girl questioned, she had heard stories about the place of which time stands still but she would never had guessed that people lived on the island.
The boy nodded before saying, "I'm Peter, Peter Pan. You are?" The boy asked.
"I'm Jade. Jade Stiltskin." The brown-haired woman responded.
Moments later, Jade and the boy who said was Peter Pan was standing in the middle of what it looked like was a camp, fire was the only thing that lit the entire thing up. Jade looked at all the boys that were enjoying themselves, she couldn't help but smile at how happy, how free they all were.
Jade sat on a fallen down tree as she fiddled with one of the many knives of which she had on her. The Stiltskin child jumped slightly when she heard a boy next to her clearing his voice she looked back at the boy who had scared her.
"I've never seen Pan be so interested in someone before, especially someone female." The blond-haired boy stated.
"Maybe because I'm the only female he's seen in a while." Jade rolled her eyes
"Names Felix." The named boy told as the girl said, "Jade."
