Chapter Thirty-Queen Of Hearts
↬Chapter Thirty-Queen Of Hearts↬
↬↬↬
I only own Jade/Camilla and my ideas.
Within the walls of The Evil Queen's Palace, a stranger covered with a dark cloak approached to the guards, among them Claude, who protected the door of a room to which an important person towards the Queen stayed.
"Halt." Claude told the stranger.
"Food for the prisoner." The stranger told as he he showed a pail with some food.
"It's not meal time. Who are you?! Identify yourself, slave!" Claude demanded. At that being said another Guard appeared.
The Stranger took of the cloak as he then proceeded to kill the guard with his hook imbedded into their chests.
"Slave? I prefer Captain." Hook stated as he then stole the guard's keys, and entered Belle's cell, "Hi. You must be Belle."
"The Queen sent you, didn't she? She wants you to kill me." The helpless girl worried.
Hook shook his head as he said, "I'm not here to kill you, love. I'm here to rescue you."
"Rescue me? Who are you?" Belle questioned the man.
"A friend. We haven't much time. Your father's life is in danger. He's being attacked by the very same monster who stole you away from your family in the first place." Hook explained rather quickly as he went to walk out the room.
"What, Rumplestiltskin?" Belle asked. She knew that he wouldn't harm her family yet confusion swept across her.
"The Dark One - he must be stopped. You've spent more time with him than anyone. There are rumors of a magical weapon that has the power to kill him." Hook told.
"No. No. No. Let... let me talk to him. He's not a monster." Belle shook her head at the thought of him being a monster. If there was one thing she knew, it was that he wasn't the thing who people thought he was.
"Belle, your father's life hangs in the balance. I need to know what that weapon is and where to find it." Hook told. He hoped that she would help him if her father was on the brink of death.
"I don't know what you're talking about, and I have no idea how to... kill Rumplestiltskin." Belle told.
Hook rose a brow as he asked, "You don't?"
"No! And nor would I." Belle stated.
"Hmm. Then I'm afraid I'm not here to rescue you." Hook said as he then proceeded to slap Belle, which knocked her unconscious, "So pretty... yet so useless." He rose his hook to kill her, but as he goes to strike, his hook disappeared.
"No. Not useless. She's a valuable chess piece." The Evil Queen stated.
"Do I look like I'm playing a game of chess? My hook, if you please?" Hook pleaded.
The Evil Queen shook her head, "No."
"The asking was me being a gentleman." Killian states.
"Is that any way to address a queen? Even a pirate should have better manners than that." Regina snapped, she took in the mans confused look, "Yes. I know who you are... Captain. I know why you came here from Neverland, and I know all about the crocodile you wish to skin."
"Then you also know that I'll stop at nothing." Killian stated.
"So dedicated and resourceful. No one has been able to fight their way past my defenses before. She can't help you kill Rumplestiltskin, Hook. But I can, If you do something for me." Regina told as she then proceeded to ask, "Care to join me for a drink?"
The two walked to a different part of the castle where Jade waited with two drinks held in her hands. Killian looked at the woman in confusion to why she was there. The last time that he saw her, she was in Neverland with Peter. The last time that he saw her, she was happy. Now, he noticed how the happiness seemed to disappear from her eyes and was replaced with something dark and evil.
The Evil Queen continue as she said, "Things are about to change in this world... radically. I have plans to enact a curse that will take everyone to a far-off land and with the help of Jade Stiltskin I'm hopeful that it'll help. Hook, I'd like you to meet the Dark Ones daughter, Jade Stiltskin."
"We already know each other, our paths already crossed once. He knows that I know nothing about my father which would help him." Jade explained towards the Queen.
The Queen hushed her as Regina said, "hush dear. Only speak when you're spoken to. You should know how to respect a Queen." Her attention snapped back towards Hook as she then said, "As I said before, this curse I plan to enact with the help of Jade will send us to a far-off land."
Hook looked between Jade and the Queen as he asked, "How will that help me?"
"This new realm? It's a land without magic, where the Dark One will be stripped of his powers. There you won't need any magical weapon to kill him. You can do it with a mere flick of your wrist." The Evil Queen explained.
"Tell me what I have to do." Hook said, now interested in what he needed to do.
"There's one person I don't want following me to this new land. You're to see to it that doesn't happen." Regina explained.
"An assassination. Who is it you want me to dispose of?" Killian asked, "And why haven't you got Jade to do it?"
"I want you to get rid of my mother." Regina responded. "And the only reason to why I haven't got Jade to do it is because my mother knows Jade all too well."
Within the walls of Mr Gold's Pawn Shop, Regina checked in on David who was still under the sleeping curse.
"Any change?" Gold asked the mayor.
"No. He's not improving. He needs true love's kiss. He won't wake up until Mary Margaret comes back." Regina responded.
"Until? Well, that's rather optimistic, isn't it?" Gold questioned the woman's sudden optimism.
"What are you talking about?" Regina asked in slight confusion.
"They're up against your mother. The only chance Snow, Emma and Jade have of defeating her is with the squid ink." Gold replied.
"Which is why you sent the message through David." Regina pointed out.
"Which would be beneficial if we knew that message were delivered. But alas, given the Prince's condition, we don't know. As such, it's important we take precautions. We have to consider the possibility that, when that portal opens, it won't be his family that comes through. It'll be Cora." Gold retorted.
"And neither one of us wants that." Regina stated.
"We have to find where they're coming through and destroy that portal." Gold suggested.
"But whoever came through would die." Regina said.
"Exactly. But I'm confident between the two of us, we can summon up enough magic to complete the task." Gold simply told.
"Well, what if we're wrong? What if that portal opens up, and it's not my mother? What if Mary Margaret, Emma and Camilla do defeat Cora and go through it?" Regina asked.
"Well, I believe in this world, they call that a win-win." Gold stated.
"How exactly is that?" Regina asked as she rose a brow.
"If we stop Cora, you are protected from your mother's wrath. If, on the other hand, we stop Snow and Emma, well... you become the only mother in your son's life, now don't you? Look, magic is unpredictable in this world. If something unfortunate were to happen while you were attempting to help..." Gold began as he scoffed, "Henry could hardly blame you for that, could he?"
"No. I can't lie to him. I am trying to be a better mother." Regina told, "And I think you should start taking tips on how to be a better parent towards your daughter."
"You won't be able to be a better anything if Cora comes through. And if she does, she will be a threat to everyone, including your son. So, if you truly want to be a good mother to Henry, to protect him, if you want to be better, prove it." Gold simply retorted through he made a point. "As for my daughter, she wants nothing to do with me so there's no chance of being a supposed better anything between me and my child."
The group of five walked into Rumplestiltskin's cell. Camilla looked around the place getting nothing but a bad memory of the last time she was there. The memory of just before the curse had hit the Enchanted Forest, she remembered how her and Regina were here asking her father how to enact the curse. She remembered how she hid round the corner and only came out when her father hurt the person she held loyalty towards. The memory seemed to haunt her mind.
"Huh. Rumplestiltskin's cell. I haven't been here since before Regina's curse. This is where he told us you were going to be the Savior." Mary Margret told her daughter.
"He knew?" Emma asked, she was surprised that he had managed to know about her being the one to save everyone and break the curse.
"Oh, it was prophesized." Mary Margret told. "Come on." Both mother and daughter began their search for the squid ink along with the help of Aurora and Mulan.
Camilla stood at the entrance as she froze. She stared at the cage of which held her father, the abusive father that she grew to hate. The father of which caused nothing but pain towards her while her brother stood in the spotlight. Her breath seemed to quicken as the memories seemed to flood into her mind, the pain of which was inflicted seemed to come back to haunt her.
The memories seemed to male her panic but what made her body fill with regret was the last memory of which happened here, the memory of the time she helped Regina cast her curse which spread across the land.
Mary Margret seemed to notice her distance and the fear of which seemed to be glued to her face. Mary Margret noticed how her breathing was uneven as Camillas' eyes seemed to dart around the cell, she noticed how Camilla wasn't moving one bit. The only thing of which Mary Margret could think of was the father of the child which caused the pain.
"Hey, Camilla, it's okay. He's not here to harm you. He's back in Storybrooke." Mary Margret told as she neared the Hopper child.
Camilla let out a shaky breath as she said, "He may not be here but the memories of the things he has said to me are still there. The memories of who I became are here and I can't change it."
Mary Margret fuzzled her eyebrows, "What do you mean 'The memories of who I became'?"
Her breath was heavy as she spoke, "H-he helped with the curse. He gave Regina the answer of enacting the curse, crushing the heart of the thing she loved the most. We were here, Regina and I, we came here looking for an answer on enacting her curse after she crushed the heart of her horse. I became someone who done nothing but betray people. I betrayed you, David and everyone else, I betrayed myself after I promised myself to never receive help from my father, yet I get dragged by the Queen just so she could have her happiness."
Mary Margret could see the pain and regret which flicked through Camilla's features. She knew how much her friend regretted her choice of going to Regina's side, though Camilla didn't say it through words much, Mary Margret knew it.
"It's okay. I know that you regret it all but you're safe. Regina won't make you do things of which you don't want to do and you don't have to be round your father any longer."
Camilla didn't say anything for a moment before she said, "I'm scared, Snow. Cora, going back to Storybrooke in general, I can't anymore. I'm scared about Cora, she does nothing but scare me."
Before the two could continue their conversation, Emma called out, "Hey, you two. We found this, there's no Squid ink." Emma held up a piece of paper of which held her name over and over again.
Back at Gold's Pawn Shop, Henry sat beside his grandpa as he read from the book of whuch he liked ever so much.
"With one kiss, true love's power made everything right again. But this was not the end of their story. It was just the beginning." Henry read.
"I think this time, it'll happen the other way around." Regina told her son.
"You think so?" Henry asked as he looked at his mother.
"I do. Which is why I need you to stay here and watch David for a little while." Regina told the small boy.
"Where are you going?" Henry wondered as a small sliver of interest filled the small boys mind.
"Mr. Gold and I need to prepare for Camilla, Emma, Mary Margaret's return. Coming through the portal won't be easy. We need to make sure everything's in place." Regina partially lied to her son.
"Really? You're really going to help them?" Henry asked as his eyes lit up at the thought of his mother helping the three people of which he cares about the most.
"I promised you I was going to do better, to be better. So yes, I'm going to do everything in my power to see to it they come home safely." Regina told the young boy.
"Wow. You really have changed." Henry smiled towards his mother as a form of happiness seemed to spread across the small boy.
"I'll be back as soon as I can." Regina told as she left the small boy with his sleeping grandfather.
Down at the Storybrooke mines, Regina had made her way towards the man.
"I'm really glad you, uh, came to your senses." Gold stated in a rather sarcastic tone.
"Let's just get this over with." Regina told, not really wanting to be there any longer than what they need to be.
"It's right through here. Ah, yes. Should suit our purposes, no?" Gold asked as the two then proceeded to look at the fairy dust crystals which covered the Mines within the wall.
"How much do we need?" Regina asked the man.
Gold released a scoff as he said, "All of it."
"How are we going to do that?" Regina questioned the man.
"With a little help from a fairy. Dead one. Believe me, no one mourns her." Gold responded.
Within the walls of the Dark Palace, Killian, Regina and Jade all stood there as they discussed the plans for Cora's assassination.
"It's now... enchanted. It will enable you to rip out her heart. I believe you've seen it done before." Regina told as she enchanted Killians' hook.
"Yes." Hook responded as the memory of which lead him onto the quest of revenge.
"The enchantment will only allow you to rip out one heart, so make sure you do it right." The Evil Queen explained.
"What could she have possibly done to warrant such brutality?" Hook asked the woman.
"That's my business. Yours is to kill her and bring her body back to me." Regina told.
"Easy enough." Hook shrugged. "When will I set forth on this murderous journey?"
"Immediately. But you won't be going alone. You remember Claude." The Evil Queen asked as a small smirk grew on her face.
Hook shrugged slightly, "Can't say that I do."
"You killed him in the cell block." Regina explained towards the one handed pirate.
"Ah, yes. I didn't recognize him without my hook in his neck. Forgive me, but isn't he a bit of dead weight?" Hook questioned.
"I banished my mother to a far-off land some time after dear Jade come back. You're going to need a portal to get to her. The rules are simple. One goes in, one comes back. Or in this case, two in, two back. You'll arrive with Claude, and you'll return with my mother." The Evil Queen explained.
At the sound of her name, her mind seemed to replay her last memory of being with Peter was like. She remembered the pain she felt after being ripped apart from the thing she loved most.
Killian had shot her a look at the sound of Jade's name before he continued to say, "Now tell me... which far-off land do I have the pleasure of visiting today?"
"Wonderland." Jade quickly spoke. She knew that it was the place where Regina sent her mother mainly due to Regina telling her once.
"Hush, this is between Hook and I." Regina quickly said. "But she's correct, you'll be going to Wonderland."
"Aptly named, I'm sure." Hook sarcastically said. "How will I find her?"
"Oh, don't worry. She'll find you." The Evil Queen responded with a small smirk.
Within Rumplestiltskin's cell, Emma sat as she stared at the parchment with her name on it. Camilla still hadn't moved from the entrance, she refused to enter the cage which brought nothing but bad memories.
"What does this even mean?" Emma questioned. Confusion seemed to sweep over the blonde as she stared at the paper.
"He was obsessed with you, Emma. You were the key to breaking the curse." Mary Margaret explained.
"Yeah, he did mention you when Regina and I came here once. He mentioned how Mary Margaret's unborn child would be the one to break the curse." Camilla stated.
Aurora cut into the conversation as she then said, "We've looked everywhere. There's no ink in this cell."
"Well, it has to be. He told David." Mary Margaret told as confused seemed to sweep over her.
"You were in a Netherworld. Maybe something got lost in translation." Emma tried to suggest.
"No. She heard right." Mulan said as she held up a vile of which used to contain the ink of which they were looking for.
"You found it?" Camilla asked, "Can we go now?"
"In a manner of speaking. There was ink in the cell." Mulan responded.
"It's not true." Emma spoke and with that being said, some sort of force seemed to shove Camilla into the cell as Aurora launched the inkwell on the closing mechanism of the cell. "Son of a bitch ... Aurora, what are you doing?!" Cora and Hook arrive in front of the cage.
A small groan escape Camilla lips as a small pain seemed to shoot round her entire body.
"Helping me." Cora responded towards Emma's question as she then teleported the compass to her hand.
"No!" Camilla yelled as she ran towards the locked cell door. She attempted to open it, though she knew that it wouldn't work.
"No. Don't waste your energy, dear. Your dear old father couldn't escape from this cell." Cora simply smirked towards the daughter before she turned towards Aurora, "Thank you, Aurora. We couldn't have done it without you."
"Why would you do this?" Emma asked.
"How could you?" Mary Margaret hissed.
Cora let out a chuckle, "Don't blame her. She was only doing what she was told." She pulled out Aurora's heart.
"Son of a fucking bitch." Camilla growled.
Emma asked, "You took her heart?"
"Actually, I did. It was a gift." Hook corrected.
"Forgive us. We'd love to stay, but Storybrooke awaits." Cora stated.
"Asshole!" Camilla yelled towards Cora.
"Dear, soon you won't have to worry, you'll be long dead before you find out the fate of Storybrooke." Cora hissed back towards the cursed adult. Camilla gave the woman a cold glare as she kept quiet.
Emma called out towards the one handed pirate saying, "Hook. Wait. Please don't do this. My son is in Storybrooke. He needs me."
"Perhaps you should've considered that before you abandoned me on that beanstalk." Hook stated.
"You would've done the same." Emma tried to say.
"Actually, no." Killian said before he held up a bean as he asked, "Do you know what this is, Emma?"
"The bean that the giant kept." Emma responded.
"Yes, indeed. A pirate always keeps a souvenir of his conquest, but this...well, this is much more than a mere trinket. This is a symbol...something that was once magical, full of hope, possibility. Mm. Now look at it. Dried up, dead, useless. Much like you. The time for making deals is done, just as I'm done...with you." Killian told before he then went to walk away along with Cora.
"Hook, Wait!" At the sound of her voice, Hook stopped. Camilla places her head in between the bars as she continues, "Would this be any way that she would want you to act around me?"
Hook just gave her a look, "I don't know who you're talking about."
"Yeah you do, Captain. The person to which you used to love before she died. She wouldn't want you to act like this towards me, would she?" Camilla told the man, "for God's sake Killian, we're friends right? We were okay, listen to me! You cared for her didn't you? Would she want to go treat me like this? If you two were married that would make me, you know.."
Hook seemed to stride over to her in anger as he then grabbed Camilla by the throat, "It's a shame that she never mentioned you, isn't it? We may have been friends before but you won't help me get revenge on your father. So no, we're no longer friends." With that said he released Camilla before he walked away with Cora.
Camilla let out a groan as she shook the cell again. The others looked towards her in confusion for two reasons. The first being her relationship with Hook and the second being what connected them.
Down at Storybrooke Mines, Ruby had come running into them when she received a call.
"Leroy! What is it? What's the emergency?" Ruby asked the short man, "Leroy."
"They're gone. They're all gone." Leroy stated as Ruby then proceeded to look up, only to see that all of the diamonds which once filled the place were all gone.
At Mr.Gold's Pawn shop, Henry was there as he read to a sleeping David when Ruby, Leroy, Doc, and Happy came rushing into the room.
Henry read from his book saying, "And yes, she was beyond hope, beyond saving." The bell to the shop rang as he continued, "This was her end." Ruby along with Leroy, Doc and Happy entered the room.
"Where are they? Regina and Gold." Ruby demanded.
Henry looked up towards them as he asked, "What's going on?"
"All the magic has been drained from the mines." Ruby responded.
Henry's eyebrows knitted together, "They stole it?"
"They snuck in after our shift and took everything. Nobody steals from a dwarf!" Leroy rose his voice, clear that anger filled him.
"Except the Queen." Doc stated.
"And Rumplestiltskin." Happy added.
"If they're not helping Camilla Emma and Mary Margaret, that... that means my mom lied to me." Henry's voice filled with sadness at the thought of it.
Ruby gave the small boy a sympathetic look as she said, "I'm sorry, Henry."
"We need to find her. We need to stop them. We need to help Camilla, Emma and Mary Margaret." Henry spoke, "I know that you don't trust Camilla but she doesn't deserve what may happen."
Within Rumplestiltskin's cell, Emma attempted to break down the cell bars with her sword. Camilla paced within the cell with her hands over her face.
"We aren't going to break it down, Emma. It was enchanted to hold Rumplestiltskin. We don't have a chance." Mary Margaret told her daughter.
"This is my fault." Aurora stated.
"No, it's mine. Cora stole your heart because I failed to protect you." Mulan argued.
"That's very sweet, but I believe it's my fault. I'm the Savior, and I'm not doing much saving, am I?" Emma told as she sat down.
"Oh boo hoo, it's this persons fault, who gives a shit. The only that should matter is trying to find a way out of this shitty cage!" Camilla snapped as she proceeded to shake the cage bars. She was going crazy and she couldn't help it.
Mary Margaret looked towards Camilla as she said, "We will find a way, Cam." She then proceeded to sit down next to Emma, "We're going to win this fight, you know. Good always defeats evil."
Emma rolled her eyes slightly as she said, "You sound like Henry."
"Guess optimism runs in the family." Mary Margaret said.
"I think it skipped a generation." The blonde stated.
"You should know better than anybody. You broke the curse." Mary Margaret pointed out.
"What have I done since then? I got us stranded over here, burned down the wardrobe, let Cora get the ash, and now, the compass. The only reason I ever broke the curse was because it was exactly what Gold wanted me to do. I had nothing to do with it." Emma rambled, she thought that this was all on her. She believed that it was all her fault, "And now we're trapped in a cage as Camilla is slowly loosing her mind."
"Hey! You have no idea what he's done!" Camilla snapped as she took a step towards Emma though Mulan seemed to take hold of her arm telling her not to start anything.
Mary Margaret watched Mulan and Camilla briefly before she turned back to Emma as she asked, "What are you talking about?"
"He told you I was the Savior. It was his plan. Once I fulfilled that role, maybe that's all I was ever meant to do. Everything I've ever done... He had it all mapped out before I was even born. I'm not powerful. I'm... I'm not... a Savior. I'm a name on a piece of paper." Emma showed Mary Margaret the last lines of the scroll as she continued, "I'm a pawn, and that's exactly why we are in here. And Cora's on her way to Storybrooke."
Hook and Cora walked through the Enchanted Forest. The one thing of which played on the pirates mind was what Cora had said towards Camilla and the fact that she was dying.
"Where are we going?" Hook questioned.
"Lake Nostos. The legend says its waters hold the power to restore what was once lost. It'll return magic to what remains of this wardrobe. And then we'll be able to cross worlds." Cora explained as both her and Hook approach the dry bed of the lake.
"I may be a simple pirate, but I know one thing...lakes have water." Hook states as he looked towards the dried up lake.
Cora simply moved her hand and dug a fairly large hole within the lake. A geyser was made as water flowed from it.
"After everything we've been through, why do you still doubt me?" Cora questioned.
After a few moments, Hooks thoughts seemed to get the best of him as he asked, "So it's actually true, Jade Stiltskin is dying?"
Cora noticed the mans interest in the woman as she proceeded to say, "Of course, she causes nothing but heartbreak towards the people around her and plus, the world would be a better place with her gone, Don't you think? Or should I say, turned to stone?"
Cora's body lies in a coffin within the four walls of the Evil Queens palace. Jade stared at the body with wide eyes, she was impressed that the pirate could do it. Though the one thing which played on her mind was how he actually managed to do it.
Hook looked towards the Evil Queen as he asked, "Satisfied?"
"Did she put up a fight?" The Evil Queen asked.
"Nothing I couldn't handle." Hook simply responded with a small shrug.
"Thank you. Now leave us, both of you. I'd like a moment alone to say goodbye." The Queen ordered and both Hook and Jade left the room with the door closing behind.
Once the two were outside Jade said, "Nice work, Killian. I wouldn't have thought that you'd actually be able to do it."
Hook gave her a look as he then said, "Thanks. So you're working with the Queen now, how did you manage to get here?"
"Blame the person you want your revenge on. Plus I made a deal with the Queen." Jade simply responded.
With that being said, The Queen came out of the room as she seemingly walked past the two.
Hook stared between Jade and the room as he quickly said, "I'm going to go back and look at what I've done. I'm proud of what I've done."
With that said, Hook quickly went back into the room as Jade simply shook her head and walked off.
Within the town of Storybrooke, both Regina and Mr. Gold were walking through the woods.
"You are certain the portal is going to open up all the way out here." Regina questioned, she wanted to be certain that her mother wasn't going to come through.
Mr Gold then pointed, "There. This is where things once lost return to us. This is where Cora's going to come through." The two reached the Storybrooke Wishing Well.
"Unless it's Mary Margaret, Emma and Camilla." Regina pointed out.
"I highly doubt it." Gold said.
Within The Dark Dungeons, Camilla was still pacing round the place.
"We are going to get out of here." Mary Margaret tried to sound optimistic as she watched her friend pace.
"I bloody well hope so." Camilla muttered.
"How? By staring at that scroll? It's not like its going to magically open a door for us." Emma said. "Plus it doesn't help that Camilla is pacing, it is distracting."
Before Camilla could argue Mary Margaret quickly cut in saying, "Pacing is one of the ways to help her calm down without killing anyone. And yes it's going to open the door."
"What?" Emma asked as her eyebrows knitted together.
Mary Margaret then proceeded to explain, "When I was little girl, I used to sneak into Cora's chamber and watch her practice magic. She had a spell book. And Emma, the spells were in the book."
"Yeah. Isn't that what a spell book is? A book that has spells in it?" Emma asked.
"Try the other way round. Spells within a book, able to be used they blowing the spell off of the book." Camilla responded as she rolled her eyes.
"Exactly, watch." Mary Margaret said as she then blew on the scroll. The ink seemed to slide off into a mist.
"Whoa. Squid ink! Gold wrote the scroll in squid ink." Emma's voice was filled with amazement as the ink spread onto the cells bars and then disintegrate. Emma released a laugh.
At the sight of an exit, Camilla quickly ran out of the cage and fell onto the floor with a sigh of relief. "Thank god! If we were in there any longer, I swear I would've killed someone."
Mary Margaret playfully rolled her eyes as they began to leave.
Aurora seemed to call out, "Wait! I can't go. You have to tie me up."
"No. I'm not leaving with you." Mulan shook her head towards the woman.
"I can't be trusted. Not as long as Cora has my heart." Aurora pointed out.
"Then I will get it back for you." Mulan offered.
"Oh, Mulan." Aurora began as Mulan said, "I will."
"Mulan? We got to go." Emma told the soldier.
"Do it." Aurora stated as Mulan tied Aurora up. "Good luck."
"Thank you. Good luck to you." Mary Margaret nodded as they left. Mary Margaret patted Camilla's back referring that they were leaving.
"I'm up." Camilla muttered as she got up from the ground. With that they left.
At Lake Nostos, Cora and Hook stared at the water of which flowed beneath them.
"And now the ashes. Would you care to do the honors?" Cora asked as she gave Hook the bottle with ashes.
Hook took hold of the bottle and poured the ashes into the lake. With the ashes now in the lake, a portal opened for them.
"Here we go. We'll be in Storybrooke soon enough. I really look forward to seeing my daughter." Cora said with a small smile on her face.
At the well, Regina and Gold stood as they waited for some sort of portal to open referring that someone was going to come through.
"It's time." Gold announced.
"So what are we waiting for?" Regina questioned as Gold held the wand up in the air and green lightning transformed within the well.
"It doesn't matter who comes through now. No one can survive this." Gold stated.
Within the place which held Lake Nostos. Cora and Hook seemed to stare at the now portal which laid in the lake.
"I told you I'd deliver you to Rumplestilskin." Cora stated as Hook held onto the compass, "Now don't let go unless you want to end up some place that isn't Storybrooke."
A dagger was thrown at the compass and knocked it out of Cora's hand. The pirate and mother Mills stared towards where the dagger came from to see Camilla, Emma, Mary Margaret, and Mulan. They noticed how Camilla's arm was still up from throwing the dagger, Mary Margaret had her bow loaded, Mulan had her sword out while Emma had her hands on one of Camilla's swords which the Hopper child willing have to her just to use.
"You're not going anywhere. This portal's taking us home." Emma spat.
"The compass. Get it." Camilla told and with that, they all split up.
Cora looked towards Hook, "Find it first. I'll take care of them." Hook then proceeded to do so, only to be pursued by Emma. The two of them begin to swordfight. Cora created a ball of fire and throws it at Mulan, only for her to deflect it with her sword. Mary Margaret aimed an arrow at Cora, only to miss when Cora disappears in smoke, sending Aurora's heart flying over Lake Nostos. Hook caught it just in time and tossed it back to a surprised Mulan.
"I may be a pirate, but I bristle at the thought of a woman losing her heart . . . unless it's over me." Hook told as he picked up his sword again and Emma and he restart their fight. Camilla ran over to a still-shocked Mulan.
"Go!" Camilla told her.
"No. You need the compass." Mulan tried to argue.
"Aurora needs her heart, she doesn't need a feeling of emptiness in her chest." Camilla told.
Mulan nodded as she then handed Camilla her sword, "Take it. It deflects her magic." Camilla nodded as she took the sword, and Mulan ran back to Aurora.
"Mary Margaret! Catch!" Camilla called. At the sound of her name, Mary Margaret turned round noticing the sword in Camilla's hand. "Take it, I've got my own."
Mary Margaret nodded as Camilla then proceeded to throw her Mulan's sword.
"I had no idea you had such a soft side." Emma commented.
"I don't. I just like a fair fight." With that said, Hook knocked Emma over. "Good form. But not good enough."
Mary Margaret and Camilla stood side-by-side as their eyes stayed open in sight fro Cora. The two hear a whistle from behind, and they turned around to find that Cora was right behind them. Cora smirked slightly as she prepared a fireball in her hand and threw it towards Mary Margaret.
"Not going to happen, bitch." Camilla stated as she stood in front of Mary Margaret, despite her pleads. The fireball seemed to hit Camilla and not affect her in anyway as it fell to the ground. Camilla stepped on it and it went out.
Cora released a growl as she hissed, "How?!"
A small smirk appeared on Camilla's face as she responded with her pulling up her sleeve slightly revealing the numbers 006, "Guess I can thank my father and Regina for something good in my life."
At that said, Camilla swung her sword back as she went to attack though Cora seemed to disappear in a cloud of smoke and appeared behind Mary Margaret again.
"When we get back, you're telling me about that." Mary Margaret told as she attacked Cora.
Emma was trapped, her back was against Hooks' sword with seemingly no way of getting loose.
"Normally, I'd prefer to do other more enjoyable activities with a woman on her back. But with my life on the line, you've left me no choice. Bit of advice: when I jab you with my sword, you'll feel it. You might want to quit." Hook told with a small smirk.
Emma looked round a little only to discover that the compass was right beneath her. "Why would I do that when I'm winning?" In a sudden blast of strength, Emma stands up and punched Hook down. "Thanks. Now let's go home!"
A small smile appeared on Camilla as she said, "Yes Emma!"
Gold and Regina stood in front of the now-mortally dangerous well as Ruby and Henry seemed to find a way to get there.
"Mom?" Henry asked. At the sound of his voice both Regina and Mr. Gold turn around, surprised to see the small boy. "You aren't helping Emma, Camilla and Mary Margaret, are you?"
"I'm helping you, Henry." Regina simply replied.
"What are you talking about?" Henry asked in slight confusion.
"You're gonna kill them!" Ruby growled as she proceeded to step closer to only get knocked out cold by Gold's magic.
"Sorry, dearie."
"Mom, what are you doing?" Henry asked his mother.
"I can't let Cora came through the portal. You have no idea what she would do to us." Regina tried to tell her son.
"Camilla, Emma and Mary Margaret are going to defeat her. They're the ones that are going to come through!" Henry told. He had hope that they would come through.
"Henry, your mother's right. It's going to be Cora." Gold cut into the conversation, agreeing with Regina.
"No! It won't! Good always defeats evil. You should know that more than anyone." Henry countered.
"What I know is my mother will destroy everything I love. And that means you. And I can't let that happen." Regina said as she shook her head slightly.
Emma ran towards Cora as she tried to attack her only for Cora to disappear and reappear behind her.
"Why do you want to go to Storybrooke?" Mary Margaret asked the question of which seemed to run through Camilla's mind as well.
"Because my daughter needs me. And now I'm going to give her the one thing she's always wanted: your heart. Goodbye, Snow." Cora told as she went to take Mary Margaret's heart.
"No!" Emma yelled as she went in front of Mary Margaret. Cora's hand went into Emma's chest.
"Emma!" Mary Margaret called. Her heartbeat seemed to rise as worry seemed to sweep into the mother as she watched how a monster had her hand in Emma's chest, about to take her heart.
"Oh, you foolish girl. Don't you know? Love is weakness." Cora hissed as she attempted to take Emma's heart.
Cora attempted to take Emma's heart though she seemed to fail.
Emma stood up straighter as she said, "No. It's strength."
Then a white glow rippled from her, forcing Cora away from her and out of her chest.
Emma was amazed by the sudden strength of which projected from her, her eyes widened at it.
"What was that?" Emma asked as her eyes widened.
"That is a great subject for discussion... when we get home." Mary Margaret told with a smile on her face.
"Come on, we've gotta go!" Camilla told them. The two nodded as they ran towards the edge of the lake.
They then wrapped the chain that was hooked to compass around their wrist to make sure that it didn't slip off.
"Ready?" Mary Margaret asked he two.
"Yeah." Emma nodded.
"Let's get back home." Camilla responded with a nod as they jumped into the portal.
Henry stood at the Well as he tried to convince both Regina and Gold that Cora wander coming through.
"You can't! Stop it! You can't! You're gonna kill them! Please! No! They're going to make it through! We have to turn it off! You're gonna kill them!" Henry pleaded. His voice was loud, he was confident that it would be the three people that he cared about would come through the portal.
"Henry! What are you doing?" Regina questioned.
"Camilla, Emma and Mary Margaret are going to come through. I know it. You said you wanted to change, to be better. This is how. You want me to have faith in you? Have faith in me." Henry told.
Something changed in Regina, after what Henry had said, Regina looked towards the well.
"Regina!" Gold yelled as Regina absorbed the magic.
"No!" Henry yelled.
"I'm sorry, Henry. I'm sorry." Regina told. After a few moments, Emma climbed out the well.
Henry's eyebrows shot up as he asked, "Mom?"
"Henry!"
"Mom!"
"I missed you." Emma told her son as she hugged the small boy.
Both Mary Margaret and Camilla had pushed themselves out of the well.
"I missed you, too." Henry told his mother.
"I missed you so much." Emma said to her son.
Camilla had slid down as she sat with her back against the brick wall of the Well.
"What's going on? What happened?" Mary Margaret asked.
"She saved you. She saved all of you." Henry beamed as he stared at his adoptive mother.
"Thank you." Emma thanked her.
Regina gave her a small smile, "You're welcome."
"Are you okay?" Ruby asked as she neared Mary Margaret.
Camilla watched as she noticed how no one even bothered to say hello to her. Though she mainly seemed to focus on the pain of which the curse seemed to inflict on her. She closed her eyes as she tried to suppress it.
Camilla hadn't noticed that everyone left till she heard Regina say, "Camilla, are you okay?"
Camilla nodded towards the mayor as she responded with, "Fine. Perfect." She quickly got up though the pain still lingered in her arm.
As Camilla went to leave, Regina grabbed hold of her arm as she hummed, "Hmm, doesn't feel like it. You're wrist doesn't feel normal."
Camilla pulled her arm away from her as she said, "It's fine."
Regina gave her a stern look, "I know you. We've worked along side and against each other, I've gotten to know you so I know when somethings wrong, Cam."
Camilla stated silent as she stared at the woman in front of her. After all she didn't know what to say, she didn't know how to say that she was dying. She wants help, but she can't seemed to put it in words.
Regina let out a sigh before she strolled over to Camilla and grabbed her arm. She pulled her arm up as Regina then proceeded to pull up Camilla's sleeve. Regina gasped at the sight, her arm was pure grey, the chalky feeling seemed to be the only thing of which hid the normality of human flesh.
Regina stared between Camilla's arm and the owner, "How long had this been happening?"
She was silent for a moment as her head hung low, "Since magic came back." Her voice was low and quiet as she refused to look at Regina.
"This curse - it's remarkable. I've never seen the Mors Curse enacted but I've heard tales that no one survives it." Regina stated, interested in it.
Camilla pulled her arm away from Regina, "Yeah, no shit. The only way to survive this is True Loves kiss, I know. I'm dying, I know. Plus there's no way that I'm ever going to get back to my True Love thanks to you and my father."
With that said, Camilla seemed to walk away from Regina as she walked through the forest.
She had no idea where she was going but she wanted to get away from anyone.
As she walked a voice seemed to say, "You're dying, Camilla and there's nothing that you can do about it."
"Peter won't save you, no one will." Another told.
"You'll die and no one will miss you." A voice said.
"The monster is dying. The monster is dying." The voices chanted.
Camilla covered her ears as the voices seemed to continue to chant. The lack of sleep and the curse seemed to take affect on her the most. The lack of sleep seemed to make the voices worse while the curse seemed to be the problem.
After a few moments, she heard nothing. No voices, no changing. Just silence. The only thing of which filled the air was the wildlife which occupied the forest.
She dropped her hands from her ears as her nerves seemed to calm down more.
"You're okay, Camilla. You're safe." She muttered to herself.
As she walked through the forest, the thoughts of everything seemed to flood her mind. The way that no one seemed to welcome her back seemed to bother her the most. She didn't even get a welcome back from Henry, it left a tad feeling of loneliness in her.
"You should just let the curse kill you, Jade. It'll be better that way, it's clear that no one wants you around anymore. It's clear that Snow and Emma were just using you to get back home, they didn't even want you there. They would've left you in Rumpelstiltskin's cell so that you'd just slowly go insane like your father did. Henry didn't even say hi to you and didn't welcome you back, it's clear that he was more interested in Emma over you. The only person who seemed to take a sliver of interest in you was Regina, maybe that shows that you should stay with her. You're pathetic Jade, you're worthless. No one will miss you when you're gone, not Henry, not your brother, not anyone. You'll never see your dear Peter again." A voice told, no matter how many times Camilla tried to get rid of this voice, it kept coming back getting louder and louder.
The voice broke her, it broke her to the point where she cried. Camilla Hopper, cried. The voice got to her to the point where she broke and she couldn't hold back the tears.
Maybe what the voice said was true, she was never really wanted by anyone and maybe that's alright. Maybe she'll never see Peter again, and that's alright. All she wishes is for the curse to take over now and kill her right here and now to save everyone any type of pain when she leaves.
