Chapter Sixty Six-A Curious Thing

Chapter Sixty Six-A Curious Thing

↬↬↬

I only own Jade/Camilla and my ideas.

It had been five or six months since he resurrected Jade and it's been that long since she was made to join Zelena. He'd told the others about the fact that he'd raised Jade from the dead and she was taken from him with Zelena—of course, this was after Belle told them about Neal and Rumple—and the shocked expressions on their face was something that Peter somewhat expected, but at the same time there was a part of him that thought they would have had a bigger reaction.

Over the course of the five or six months that she'd been taken from him, he tried to figure out ways that he could steal her back. All that you wanted was her safety and to know that she wasn't by his side pained him beyond belief, he knew that she should be beside him and the thought that she was just getting used once more by another being was something that didn't sit right with him just as a whole.

There were moments over the course of those few months where he devised plans in order to bring Jade back, but anytime they talked to someone about any of the plans that made date and time and say that he shouldn't do it. He didn't know why they would go against him trying to get her back, he means they didn't argue over the fact that he literally brought Jade back from the dead and yet they still had an issue over the fact that he wanted to save her from Zelena. It made him realise just how much he hated this entire idea that they were trying to force this good shit down his throat.

It was in times like these where he wondered just how Jade managed to deal with all of this, with Charming and with Snow, but it resorted back into knowing that she eventually worked for the queen. He knew that if it weren't for the people surrounding him that he would have literally ripped Zelena's head off of her shoulders all because she took the one person they cared about most within this universe.

In fact, he was already planning so much that he would want to do to Zelena over this entire thing. He had years to plan over what he was going to do to Regina and Rumple when he realised that it was them that took his Jade away from him, but he supposed that he would have to deal with his anger and direct it into what he planned to do to Zelena the minute that he lays eyes on her once more.

Peter knew that the others could pick up on his anger and resentment when it came to Zelena, which made him realise that they weren't using him as much when it came to planning stuff when it came to what they were going to do about Zelena. He wondered a lot about it, knowing that he was at least their strongest magic user, but at the same time he didn't care all that much, it allowed him to think out and plan out the many ways he hopes to slaughter Zelena for stealing his girlfriend away from him.

"Peter," Devin said, cutting off his thoughts. "Peter, come on. They're having a meeting about—you know, everything."

Peter sighed them. "I don't have the energy for it, Devin. It's going to be the same over and over again. They're not going to let me close to Zelena enough to kill her."

"But it's not just Jade that we have to worry about." Devin tried to point out. "It's the fact that she has the Dark One dagger, she could make him go against you."

Peter shrugged then. "Guess I'll finally get what I've always wanted." He'd planned multiple ways of how he was going to kill Rumplestiltskin so he was prepared for anything when it came to what Rumpelstiltskin would do to him. He hated Rumpelstiltskin with a passion, so killing him would be nothing for him. Plus, he knew that he would be giving Jade more of a break from her father which was something that he knew that she deserved.

Devin gave him a look then. "Seriously?" He crossed his arms then. "You've been in a shitty ass mood since she got taken. Are you seriously just going to sit here and plan your revenge against Zelena? You know when you know that you won't be able to get even ten feet of where she is?"

Peter hated it when Devin try to be smart with him. He hated it because he low-key knew deep with inside him that what he was saying was true, but he didn't want to hear it. He knew that he shouldn't live within this fantasy that he was going to get his revenge but what else does he going to do? Sit around and just hope that something happens? No. He wanted his revenge and he planned to get it somehow in some way.

And he knew that his revenge involved the woman that he loved because he knew that she would want to get her revenge as well. In fact, all of his plans did include Jade, he couldn't get her out of his head and no matter how much he tried he just couldn't. Everything in his life revolved around her, since the first time that he ever saw her he knew that everything was going to change for himself, and he suppose that he was somehow right, especially now. His thoughts just contained of her, and now his revenge just contained Ofwat he thought that they should do.

Peter knew that there was a chance that Jade would have her own revenge plan going on in her own mind and he was open to combining both or any revenge plan that they could come up with. as long as they got revenge on Zelena together then that was all that mattered to him the most. Not only that but he had a feeling that sooner or later Devon and Baz were gonna join them. That was also another little idea that he had when it came to his revenge that the four of them would get it all together.

"Peter!" Devin snapped. "Please."

Peter found himself tilting his head slightly then. "Look, I understand the concern for me and my actions, but in case you've missed it I just lost the woman that I love for the third time. And it's tearing me apart, I can't deal with this at all, I need her more than anything and she's gone for the third time. I'm trying my best with everything, I'm trying not to revert back to what I was the first time that I lost her and it's difficult the closest thing that I can get is planning the revenge, and I don't care on how difficult it might be to just kill Zelena. I just want to end her life because she decided to take the one person that I love the most in this world away from me."

He knew that was a chance at Devin didn't understand anything that he just said, but if he did then well that's good. If he didn't then that was a Devin problem, not a him problem. In fact, he wondered whether he could just convince everyone around him to just let him release everything that he was holding back, at least then he wouldn't be sitting on it. It was just the fact that they were just ignoring his pleas to just kill her, the Lost Boys knew that it was just best for Peter to let everything out but the fact that he was forced to hide everything away was what angered Peter more.

He knew that he should just listen to what everyone has to say considering that there was a chance that his actions would have a downfall by the same time he just didn't care. He wanted to get his revenge and he didn't want anyone told him back, he had to remind himself that he didn't have the luxury of knowing this terrain like he did when it came to Neverland. At least with Neverland no one tried to control him, at least with Neverland everyone agreed with his actions.

He knew that there was a chance that Jade would want him to be friend the people that she surrounded herself with but, if they were going to try and force him to comply with the things that they used to then it was something that he didn't want to be a part of. he want it to just let everything out and he didn't want to be controlled by anyone, he'd heard enough tales from Jade to know what was right to be controlled by someone else and that was something that he didn't want for himself. He wasn't going to be controlled, he wanted to just let everything out and worry about the consequences later on.

"I know that all you want is to just end Zelena's life, but we've got to be smart about it." Devin said. "If you want to make sure that jade gets out safely, then you've got to be smart. Play the game better."

Camilla must've fallen asleep the minute that David left the night before. She hadn't expected herself to fall asleep but there was a part of her that was grateful considering that when she opened her eyes, she took notice of the way that Peter was fast asleep in the seat beside her bed. His head was propped up on the back of the chair and looked as if he was uncomfortable in the way that he was laying—which was with his legs up on the seat while he somewhat laid on his side. She couldn't help but smile at the sight knowing that after everything he was still by her side.

There was a part of her which wanted to reach out and touch him, but she stopped herself knowing that he must need his rest. She found himself looking around the room, taking notice of the fact that Devin and Baz were asleep by the door—Baz was using Devin as a pillow and a jacket as a blanket. Beside her was their son one of which they hadn't come up with a name with yet.

Now that she was sat here, watching as her baby fussed in his sleep, there was this strong feeling deep within her which told her that she wasn't ready, that there was still so much going on that she didn't deserve to have a child. At least not yet. She couldn't even remember what it was like to have a mother which was enough to panic her about what kind of mother she would be—as well as the amount of times that she worried over the fact of her past. Whether she would be fit to be a mother because of the amount of abuse she went through.

She knew that there was a lot that was going to make her self-conscious and worried about her being a mother, and she knew that there was a chance that Peter was in the same boat about him being a father. But even still, there was a lot about her life that she didn't want their baby to become, she didn't want to become a mother who abandons their child or a mother that abuses their child. She didn't want their son to have the life that she had, she didn't want their son to be like her at all, and she was worried just in case she turned into either of her parents.

There was a lot about her own life that she didn't want to happen to her son, but she couldn't help but worry just in case there were habits that she had which were bad. She didn't want to ruin her son like how her parents ruined her, there was a lot which she wished for her son, and a happy childhood was one of them. She wanted to make sure that her son had the childhood that she wished that she had, but she didn't know how to make sure of that at all.

As much as Camilla knew that she'd thought about her life as a mother to an actual child, she never really stopped to consider the type of person that she was and the life that she did have but now that she had a son, the worry and panic was setting in. There were countless "what if's. . ." running through her mind about her being a mother. She was worried just as a whole about everything when it came to her being an actual mother. She knew that she raised her brother, and she aided Regina in raising Henry but that was different, they weren't her actual kids—her son was, and she was worried more than anything.

Not even that, she was worried on whether or not Zelena would try and steal their baby. There was a lot on her mind when it came to her being a mother and how she would actually raise him, but the slight worry in her mind when it came to what Zelena would use her son for something was something that made her want to set fire to the world.

She wanted to protect her son from Zelena at all costs but at the same time she didn't want to become what everyone once feared her to be in order to protect. But surely if everyone knew reason they'd be fine with it? She would revert to the feared being that she once was in order to protect her son, but at the same time if she became that once more, she knew that there was a chance that she would act that way towards her own son and that was something that she couldn't have.

Camilla tried to justify everything in her head when it came to her wanting to protect her family and her son, but she had to remind herself of who exactly she once was and why she couldn't become that once more. And as much as she wanted to rely on Peter to protect them because of the magic that he used, she knew that she couldn't rely on him for everything.

She couldn't rely on herself when it came to her protecting her own son—how could she ask Peter to do the same? She tried to remind herself that there was a chance that Peter was having the same worries as her and she desperately wanted to talk to him about all of this. She wanted to talk to Regina about how it was for her to become a mother—she would ask Snow, but Camilla knew that Snow never got to fully experience motherhood and raising a child when it came to Emma because of her and Regina.

There was just a lot of things that she would ask anyone that she knew to ask when it came to being a parent and how to handle the need to protect her son without returning to the being that she once was. She didn't want to become the very person that her father became all because she wanted to protect her family, she still wanted to be everything good when it came to being a parent. She just didn't want this child to become her or something worse.

"Hey," Peter groggily greeted. "You're awake!"

Camilla found herself turning to face him and she tried to force a smile onto her face then. "Morning."

Peter gave her this look as if he could see through her fully. "What's the matter? You've got this look on your face and I can tell that you're worried."

She looked down then. "I was just thinking about me as a mother, and I was just. . ." she sighed. "I don't know." She rubbed her eye slightly then. "I'm just worried about what kind of mother I'm going to be, Peter. My mother left me when I was like eleven and my father abused the life out of me. What kind of parent am I going to be with that in mind?"

Peter blinked then as if he hadn't expected to hear that, but he leaned forward then. "Look," he reached and took hold of her hand, "I know that your parents were the worst, but they don't defy who you are. They mean nothing of the parent you will be. You'll be a great parent, I know that you will be because of the way that you treated the Lost Boys and the way that you raised your own brother." He brought her hand up and kissed the back of her hand. "The shadow told me about how you looked after Henry from when he was a child—when Regina first adopted him and such—and you were amazing then. I can assure you that you will be a great mother."

Camilla wasn't sure. She knew that she helped raise Henry and such but still, he wasn't her child, this was different. She really didn't think that she was going to be a good mother, if anything she was more worried about this baby's safety more than anything.

"What about Zelena and her plan for our baby?" Camilla asked. She knew that it was something that she didn't really have to ask, but she couldn't help herself. She needed to find some comfort in what their plan of action would be when it came to the protection of their son.

Peter was silent for a moment. "Well, we're going to try and keep you and our son out of sight as much as we can from Zelena and anyone whose on her side. Regina and the others are meeting and Granny's Bed and Breakfast to go over some form of a plan and—"

"—Can I come?" Camilla found herself cutting off. She didn't mean to but considering that she wanted to be more present in their plan, she thought that it would be best. "I mean, if worst comes to worse, we have Regina there to assist if we encounter anything bad."

"You need to be discharged, Jay, I don't know how long that's going to take." Peter told, trying to explain it as carefully as he could. "And they're waiting for me, like now."

Camilla gave him a look. "You honestly expect me to sit here for however long while the rest of you plan what you're going to do to Zelena. You know, the woman who added an extra curse on me, held me captive, plans to use our baby as a backup? And you want me to sit here and be fine with that?" She let out a small laugh then. "Clearly you've forgotten that I don't like sitting still for too long, my love."

She sat up properly then—luckily enough there wasn't anything attached to her apart from the device that showed her heartbeat—but even the removal of that and Peter trying to get her to lay back down brought the attention of Whale who came into the room.

"Camilla," Whale greeted. "I see that—"

"—Can I leave?" Camilla cut in then. She didn't have the energy to listen to whatever Whale was going to say to her.

Whale looked at her somewhat surprised as if he hadn't expected to get cut off. Or if he did, she didn't care. "I suppose, but I was planning to run some more tests to see what moved your pregnancy along."

Camilla made a noise then. "Magic. I can assure that it wouldn't show up in any tests." She then went over to her son then. "So, I can leave." She picked him up then and turned to a very surprised Peter and Whale. "We have a meeting to attend, Peter, let's not keep them busy." She then took notice of the way that both Baz and Devin were still asleep and sighed. "Those two can sleep though everything."

She then bent down to shake the pair of them. "Baz, Devin," they stirred in their sleep but only slightly, "Come on, wake up."

Baz groaned. "No, more sleep."

She sighed. "Come on or we'll leave you here to get tortured."

That was enough to get both of them to jerk up right in their sleep and the pair of them looked around as if they didn't know what was going on as a whole. It took them a moment to realise what was going on and when they were aware of their surroundings, they rose to their feet—Baz ended up hugging her though quickly pulled away when he realised that she held her son.

****

Peter, Camilla, Baz, and Devin made their way to Granny's bed and breakfast, with Peter's and Camilla's baby in arms. The small family made their way to a meeting where Camilla knew that there was a chance that they weren't expecting her at all, but she didn't mind at all. At least there was something that would end up as a surprise, that, and the fact that she'd given birth.

The small group walked in silently for there was nothing really to talk about just as a whole. Though there was a part of Camilla that wanted to bring up the conversation about what they were going to name their son, she hadn't had the time to even stop for a moment to even think about it properly, but she knew that now wasn't the time for such conversation.

Peter opened the door to where they were planning to have this small meeting and walked in with Camilla following him closely behind. It was once she was inside that she heard Regina say: "I don't have time to wait for the handless wonder. We have to figure out how to destroy my sister."

"Well, that is something that I can agree on," Camilla said.

Emma, David, Snow, and Regina turned then to look at Camilla in some form of shock. Although David knew that she'd had her baby, it was still amusing to see that shocked look written on his face that she was here instead of somewhere safe. It wasn't until that Camilla paused and stood in front of the group it was only then that Regina, Snow, and Emma took notice of the fussing baby in her arms.

"Whose baby is that?" Snow asked surprised.

Camilla smiled slightly and looked towards her baby. "It's ours. Peter and mine." She sighed a little then. "Zelena sped up my pregnancy a lot and then I had an episode and then kind of broke the curse that was on me a bit which was apparently enough for me to give birth."

Snow looked as if she were about to get to her feet and throw a congratulations party just for her. "Oh, Camilla." There was a wide smile on her face which Camilla thought couldn't get any wider.

"Congratulations, Camilla," Regina said, smiling at her. "I know that it was something that you talked about a lot way back when."

They went silent for a moment, and just for a moment it was peaceful and in a situation where they needed to plan their attack on the very woman who hoped to destroy the peace that they know of. Camilla sat down on the seat available with Peter, Devin, and Baz around her as if they had the means to protect her.

"Zelena," Camilla broke the silence. "What are our plans?"

Regina sighed slightly. "We don't know yet, but we do need to put an end to her."

David nodded then. "For once, I agree with Regina. Stopping her plan is the priority."

"There's something about this plan that doesn't fit: Regina." Emma stated.

Camilla would have to agree that it was something that she didn't understand, but she had the excuse of the fact that she didn't really know that much anyway since she was in Storybrooke—considering that she'd either been with Zelena or locking herself away because everyone knew her while she didn't at the time.

"I'm the point of it," Regina explained. "So, she can take my life for herself."

"Yes, but why bring you back to Storybrooke? Why bring any of us?" Emma asked.

"Well, no one's ever succeeded at traveling through time. Perhaps something from this world makes it possible." Regina said.

"She needed ingredients, right?" Camilla asked. "From others, right. She maybe brought us all back here because she needed us away from the comfort of our home to a place where she could blend in—but we know how that turned out. But even still, Storybrooke allows her to target everyone in one place better." She shrugged. She really didn't have any idea, so she was throwing out anything that might help as a whole.

"But, that just leads to another troubling situation, that she was able to cast the curse, to bring us all here in the first place." Regina pointed out. David had risen to his feet then and walked around as if to think about everything.

Okay, that was something that she didn't think about at all. She knew that they all got here, but she knew that the parchment that the curse was written on was broken—at least that was something that she thought happened—so, how would Zelena get her hands on a curse that she didn't have access to?

"Why is that?" Emma asked.

"To do it you have to give up the thing you love most. From what I gather Zelena doesn't love much," Regina stated. That was something that Camilla did remember—Regina sacrificed her father's life just to enact the curse in the first place.

"Neither did you," Emma pointed out. "You managed."

"Zelena is smart. Strategic," David spoke up. "Perhaps we discovered something in the missing year to stop her."

"And then, the only way to stop us from interfering was to bring us back here and wipe our memories." Snow continued. "So, if we get our memories back, we might already know how to defeat her."

"Okay, wait," Camilla spoke. She tried to scratch her brow but found it rather difficult to do such a thing. Peter spelled up a cot and took over for her which she was grateful for. "The one thing that I'm rather confused about, and it might be because I have no idea what happened after I died, but how was Zelena able to cast the curse in the first place? I imagine that after you got your hands on the curse—Regina—and brought everyone back to the Enchanted Forest, that you destroyed the curse, or something happened to it."

Regina looked at her with somewhat surprise as if she just said something smart—which, of course she did, it's her. "Camilla, the spell that I used for that was only to stop Pan's curse and my own."

"Which means that you broke the original spell, right?" Camilla insisted.

"Camilla we need to break this curse," David said, "and then the entire ordeal with that curse can be brought up again once we're not dealing with Zelena."

Camilla looked around the room with an already done expression written on her face then. She had a feeling that she was right, but she wasn't sure, what did she know? She was dead when it happened, but even still, it was something that she believed was right just as a whole.

Snow looked towards her daughter then. "Well, thank goodness we have a saviour."

"I would love to, but there's one problem," Emma said. Camilla rolled her eyes. "Last time, all it took was me believing in magic and kissing Henry. Since I've been back, I've done both and nothing."

Regina gasped then as if she realised something. "It's the belief. Henry. He needs to believe. In this new life he doesn't. We have to get him to believe again."

"So, what? We put on a magic show?" Emma asked.

"Seriously?" Camilla muttered, unable to help herself.

Regina disregarded Camilla's input then but smiled slightly. "How did you believe?"

Emma shrugged "The book. The storybook."

"That's what started Henry on his original path. And what got you to believe." Regina told almost excitedly. "It's the key. In him believing. In him remembering. Remembering everything."

"That's not necessarily a gift." Emma said. "He's been through a lot of tough stuff."

"And some good stuff." Regina pointed out. "Either way it's our best bet."

"She's right." Snow agreed.

"I know. Let's find it." Emma said.

Peter found himself just outside camp, it was late at night, and he knew that he should be sleeping but it was something that he found difficult more so now than ever. He'd never been so close to his Jade but couldn't be allowed to see her. He thought about rescuing her a lot and killing Zelena where she stood, but he had to stop himself before he could do anything.

There were moments where he found himself trying to reach out to her whether it be a spell or using their joined bracelet, but he found that the only thing that was useful to him was his bracelet as a whole. Or, more correctly, he found more comfort in the use of his bracelet because they allowed him to know exactly what the hell was going on with his girl.

He knew that there was social and said everyone else was worried about his safety and he knew that they were worried about him, but he couldn't help himself but wonder whether or not he should listen to everyone around him. He was sitting here day after day going insane and he knew that the only way that he would calm down fully is if he had Jade by his side. All he wanted was his girl and it seemed like he was cursed with watching Snow and Charming have each other daily while he sits on the idea that he couldn't rescue the woman that he loved.

Which, of course, let him to wander around alone with his thoughts. He knew that it was something they shouldn't do but he found himself doing it anyway, he couldn't stop himself, all he wanted was her. there were moments where he knew that he got too close during the night to Rumpelstiltskin's castle, and he would have turn around knowing that there is no way that he could get in there without risking his life. If he wanted to live with his Jade by his side he knew that he would have to play the game, a game of which he wasn't too sure of just yet, by it was again that he would have to invent and outdo and if that was something that he had to do then so be it.

As much as he knew that he was used to his games on Neverland and knowing that he had access to a group of Lost Boys, he had to remind himself that he no longer had either which meant that all of his planning was going to be a lot harder when it comes to his games. But he didn't even know where to begin, it was like he needed his Jade here beside him to fully plan out everything.

He found himself groaning loudly then. He knew what he wanted but everyone was telling him not to get her and it was pissing him off more than anything. He knew that he wanted her, and he knew that he wanted to rescue her but the thought that everyone else is telling him not to do such a thing was really getting on his nerves.

He went to walk off back into the woods to head back to Regina's castle—where they were all staying—and just stay there, but it was then that he heard something snap behind him, he turned and for a minute he thought that everything around him stopped.

"Jade?" Peter asked. There she was standing there in loose fitting trousers, a blouse, and her familiar cape. Her hair sat tide up and out of her face, and she smiled at him in a way that made him feel like that he was going to go insane. It was a smile that he missed and a smile that he wished got anyways got to saw every single say.

"Hi Peter." She greeted almost nervously.

David lowered his phone from his ear and walked back towards the group who were patiently waiting—well, some were patient—in the answer that Belle might give them. "Gold's was a dead end. That was Belle. No book in the shop."

"Regina, you said the last place you saw it was Henry's room," Snow somewhat asked without it being much of a question.

"Yes, but it's not there." Regina told. "Swept away by the last curse."

Camilla looked towards Peter then. There were times when Camilla thought that whenever anyone brought up the last curse, that there was a chance that Peter felt somewhat guilty over it. She knew that she shouldn't think like that, but it was just a thought—a small part of her wanted to talk to him about it just in case it was something that he felt guilty over.

"A book can't just disappear." David stated.

"But it can just appear," Snow said. "The first curse. It just showed up in my closet when I needed it. Or more accurately when Henry needed it."

Emma and Camilla gave her and odd look then. Camilla knew that Snow was the reason as to why Henry had the book in the first place, but she never knew the reason why—or well, she did, but she didn't really piece it all together until Henry got the book.

"What do you mean?" Emma asked.

"He was going through a rough time," Snow explained, shifting in her seat. "He was realizing he had been given up. He didn't feel like he had a real family."

Regina scoffed at that. "He did."

"That may be." Snow stated. "But, Regina, he wasn't feeling that way with you or with anyone. He needed to believe in happy endings again. That's what the book gave him."

Regina looked as if she didn't like that answer or didn't want to believe that it was true. "Well, he needs to believe again. In fact, I think we all do. What do you think we go check your closet?"

The group of them—David, Snow, Regina, Emma, Peter, and such—made their way into Granny's Diner where Henry had been seated while they had their talk. Emma walked towards Henry then and once Devin and Baz had their eye on Henry, they basically followed Emma.

"Hey, kid, I gotta run. I gotta check on a lead," Emma told. "You okay to stay here longer?" Henry nodded. "I'll call you later."

"Mom?" Devin called out. Camilla turned. "Can we stay with Henry?"

Camilla smiled to them from the door. "Of course! Stay together!"

As much as she wanted to go to Henry and talk to him, she knew better than to talk to someone that doesn't know who she is at all. It pained her to know that she couldn't just talk to Henry, but there was just this small part of her which still felt guilty over the fact that she didn't save Neal—that she didn't do anything to make sure that Henry had his father in his life.

They small group of them made their way outside of Granny's but it turns out that they were followed by Henry who had both Devin and Baz standing behind him. There was a small part of Camilla that felt almost proud over the fact that Devin and Baz were friends with Henry and was proud that even without his memories both boys still tried to make Henry feel at home here with their friendship.

"Where are you really going?" Henry asked.

Emma—who turned around and was almost surprised that Henry even followed her. "I told you. I'm following a lead."

"What lead?" Henry questioned.

"It's my job," Emma tried to explain, "it's complicated."

"Is this about the person who killed my dad?" Henry asked.

"Yes."

"Then tell me."

Emma looked as if she was struggling to answer, so Camilla walked towards Emma's side and answered for her: "She's questioning me. I'm your father's sister and your mother thinks that she could get a better understanding of who might have killed your father."

Henry looked at her and for a brief second she thought that she saw some recognition in his eyes, but she knew that it was just her mind playing tricks on her just as a whole. "You're my father's sister?"

She forced a smile onto her face. "I am. I'm your aunt, Henry."

Henry turned towards his mother then as if he didn't want to believe her which was something that Camilla was trying to understand just as a whole. What other reaction should she expect from a boy that doesn't remember her?

"It would be easier to explain to you, Henry, once it's all done." Emma tried to justify.

Henry glared at her then. "You've been lying to me ever since we got here. I deserve to know everything, more than a surprise of my father having a sister."

"No, you don't." Emma argued. Henry looked taken back by that and Camilla couldn't help but glare at her, Regan took hold of Camilla's arm and pulled her back. "I'm your mother and I know best. So, you're just gonna have to deal with this for now, okay? Understood?"

"Yeah, yeah, I think I do." Henry muttered. Emma went to walk off then but Henry called out. "Wait," she turned back to face him. "I. . .I need your keys. I left mine in the room, and if I'm gonna be a prisoner, I'd like to have my Game Boy. Baz and Devin wanted to play with it too."

Emma gave the keys to Henry then and turned on her heels. Henry then walked back into Granny's with both Devin and Baz behind him. Inside Granny's the pair of them followed as Henry walked past the Diner part and headed straight into Granny's Bed and Breakfast. They followed him as if they were going to go into his room—which they'd been in countless of times since Emma came back and since they befriended Henry.

Henry turned towards the pair of them then. "Do either of you know how to drive?"

Devin and Baz gave each other a look then. "We don't," Devin said, his eyes lit up then, "Are you planning to go to New York?"

Henry nodded once. "Maybe."

"Can we come?" Baz asked. "We've never been to New York!"

Henry looked as if he was debating it for a brief moment. "Of course! You two are the only two that have told me the truth while I've been here."

Baz and Devin thanked Henry then before the trio then made their way towards the back entrance of the small bed and breakfast. Baz and Devin followed Henry towards Emma's parked car where Henry struggled to get the key into its place to unlock the car in the first place.

There was a sudden voice behind them which asked: "Where are you off to there, mate?"

It made the three jump then as they then turned around to face whoever it was. It was Hook, but there was a part of both Devin and Baz which just wanted to stab or attack Hook just to see what their mother would say to them about it.

"Uh, nowhere." Henry answered for them

"You're quite in the rush to go nowhere," Hook said. Devin thought that he was judging. Hook was always judging. Devin wanted to stab Hook with his own hook.

"Fine." Henry sighed. "I'm going home. And I wanted them to come with me."

Hook looked almost disappointed towards both former Lost Boys, wondering as to what their mother might think at the idea—that and the thought of what Emma might say as well when it comes to Henry. "Mm. You're running away." He came towards the three of them who were backed against the car.

"Whatever," Henry said.

"Go away, Hook," Baz spoke with a glare.

Hook somewhat smiled at that. "So, you're planning on driving all the way back to New York?" Hook asked. "One lesson and you think you're ready for that?"

"No, just to the nearest bus station." Henry told almost too honestly.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that. It's too dangerous." Hook stated.

Devin stood between Hook and Henry then with his arms crossed. "I think that we can protect each other, Hook. So back off."

"Thank you, Devin," Henty said. "We don't care what you think." Henry then opened the driver's side door.

Hook managed to push Devin out of the way which made Devin groan slightly and closed the door once more. "Well, you should. Cause I've got a better way."

That was something which surprised both Devin and Baz considering that they never thought that Hook would never help them as a whole.

Emma, Snow, David, Peter, and Regina were roaming around Snow's apartment in hopes to find Henry's storybook. David and Regina were search the bedroom, Snow, and Emma another. Regina picked up a suitcase, placing it on the bed and opened it to search for the book, next to her was David opening a chest of which only held shoe boxes—or otherwise empty.

David picked up one of the two show boxes then and put it aside. "Why do women keep their shoe boxes?"

Snow peered into the room from her closet then. "Because after true love there is no more powerful magic than footwear. It has to be protected."

"Any sign of the book?" Emma asked from the floor.

"No." David told, closing the case. "I don't think it's here."

Peter would have suggested the use of magic to aid them, but he knew that it wouldn't be of use. He also thought about asking Camilla to help them but knew that she was busy feeding their baby and didn't want to be disturbed—in fact, it was more like a secret agreement between them all that they wouldn't disturb Camilla now that she was back here in the apartment, at least her being here was a lot safer than anything else. Peter also made sure to add another layer of protection that would let them know if someone like Zelena (or Gold) was trying to get in.

"You don't know that!" Snow called out from the closet.

Emma walked over to the bed with a wooden chest in her hands. "Maybe it's in this thing." She placed the chest onto the bed opposite where Regina and David were and opened it. She looked through the clothes within it and groaned slightly. "Some winter coats. Some scarves. The book is not in here." She sat on the bed then with a sigh.

Snow—who had been leaning against the end of her bed moved then. "Hang on. Let me check." She moved to take a look into the chest, she dug through it for a moment before her hand then knocked on something that didn't sound like wood. Snow grabbed hold of it and pulled out the storybook.

They all looked at the storybook in confusion for a moment, Peter was more confused than anything else, wondering as to how the hell the book just appeared. He'd watched Emma look through it and it wasn't there. A part of him wanted to say that it was magic but there was another part of him which told him that there was a chance that no magic was involved just as a whole.

"I don't understand," Emma said.

Regina held out her hand then. "Can I see that?" Snow handed her the book. "I know there are chapters on Oz in here. I wanna know who's heart Zelena crushed to enact this curse. Because if there's something she loved that's her weakness."

Regina left the room with the book in hand with both Peter and David following behind her. Peter wanted to find out more of Zelena's past just so then he could use it against her, plus he knew that it would be good to know the weaknesses that he could use against her. He just wanted to gather enough information about Zelena just as a whole to make sure that he has enough to tell Camilla—he knew that anything that they find out about her was something that Camilla could make use of.

Peter wasn't sure what to do with himself. He just found himself staring at Jade while she looked at him almost as if she were embarrassed by the way that he looked at her. As much as he knew that she would never be embarrassed by him, he didn't know how else to describe it. He knew that it was dark, and he couldn't exactly tell her expressions, but he could tell just by the little light that there was that she was looking down with this small smile on her face like how she used to when he complemented her.

He knew that he just wanted to reach out and touch her, hold her, whatever, but he felt like he was frozen in place. It was like someone decided to freeze his feet to the ground. All he could do was stare at her like she was everything—because she was everything to him. He wanted to move forward and touch her and hold her like he longed to do for so long, but his frozen state made it impossible for him to do.

She seemed to take notice of his state—like she always does—and moved closer to him. Though she still kept some form of a distance from him, not much but almost out of arms reach. He couldn't help but watch her, the way that she moved, the way that she smiled at him, the way that she looked at him. He felt like he was falling for her all over again and that there was no one else in this world which could make him feel like this ever again.

"Jade," Peter breathed. He found himself moving one foot in front of another and before he knew it, he was hugging her. He took in the smell of forest—a scent that he was far too used to as was the scent of fire smoke on her. He didn't realise how much comfort a simple smell could be, but he did. All he could think about was how much he wanted to stay in this moment forever with her wrapped in his arms. "My Jade."

He felt the way that her arms wrapped around him and the way that she buried her head into his neck just like she always did. He felt like that this was all a dream that he conjured up, but he knew that even in his dreams that they could never be as realistic as this just as a whole. He knew that this was real, that this was the reality that he was now in—that this was his Jade in his arms. He could even feel the way that her hair brushed against his own head despite it being up—his dreams could never get that perfectly which was more than enough for him to know that this was real.

"My Peter," Jade mumbled. He could feel her breath against his neck, tickling it like it always did when she spoke while they hugged.

He was trying his best to not cry, he'd thought about what he would say to her when he'd see her next, but even now while he was with her, there was nothing of which came to mind. He just wanted to hold her, he wanted to touch her, he just wanted to make sure that all of this was real and not some random fake reality that he forced himself into.

She pulled away from him and he was close to just pulling her back in, but he stopped himself when she cupped his face into her hands. Her thumbs rubbed his cheeks, and it was enough to calm him down from his thoughts. "Oh, how I've missed you, Pete."

His hands were sat at her waist. "I've missed you more than the stars, Jay." She smiled at him and hooked her arms around his neck. "How'd you get out?"

"You think that one place can hold me?" Jade asked, raising a brow. "I picked the lock to my cage. My father kept muttering stuff under his breath which was pissing me off. Zelena made the wrong choice of letting me have something metallic in my cage—I used it to pick the lock. I knew that you all were living in Regina's castle, and I was going to head there, but I noticed your lantern and it reminded me of Neverland for some reason, so I followed it."

As much as he wanted to tell everything that she was back, he just wanted to stay here with her. Call it him being selfish—but he was, he was very selfish when it came to his time with Jade. He wanted her all to himself, he knew that there was a chance that Zelena would be looking for her and that there was limited time to get her back to Regina and the others, but he wanted to just stay here with her.

"We could find a portal and head back to Neverland," Peter suggested. "It would be far away from everyone, and we wouldn't have to worry about anyone ever again."

She hummed then. "As tempting as that is, my love, I'd rather just stay here with you right now. I just want to stay here in the woods with you."

He rose an eyebrow then. "Then us staying in these woods we shall do." He found himself doing something that he wanted to do for so long. He closed the gap between them and kissed her. For months and even before then, he wanted to feel her lips on his. And now that she was here and that she was safe with him, he knew that there was nothing that could go wrong.

He had Jade with him and that was all that mattered to him the most. He dreamed of this moment for so long and he now had it, and he wasn't going to let it slip between his fingers no matter what. He felt the way that he backed her up against a tree and found himself pulling away, he took notice of the way that Jade followed him as if she intended to continue the kiss.

"I know that there's an empty village nearby," Peter panted. "If you wanna do what I know will happen, wanna go there and do it?"

Jade nodded almost eager to do as such. "Yes."

****

Between their short travel to said village and to them actually doing it, Peter found that it was almost difficult to not touch Jade. Even the second that they stepped foot into the village, he found that he was touching her whether it be her cheek or some part of her body, all he could do was touch her. It was like he was making sure that all of this was real, he didn't want to wake up and for all of this to be a dream.

During their shared time together, Peter found that his hands never once left her—whether it be him touching her hands, her waist, her legs, her face, her hair, her lips. All he could do was touch her. And she was the same between each movement, between each sound that escaped her lips, she still found a way to touch him.

They didn't stop after one time, no, Peter couldn't keep his hands off of her like she couldn't with him. He found himself wanting this more than he ever expected. He missed his Jade for far too long and to know that he was equally missed was something that he knew that he wouldn't be able to not think about just as a whole.

Jade laid on top of him, their clothes long discarded. Peter managed to get a fire going—in the sense of he used his magic to do so as well as using his magic to bring a blanket for him to cover Jade in. She propped her chin up on his chest and smiled at him then and he felt a wave of warmth fill his entire chest—something that he missed since she left, he didn't want this moment to end, all he wanted was for Jade to stay here with him.

"My Lost Girl," Peter mumbled while he moved a stand of her hair from her face. He knew that he was smiling, he couldn't stop. "Oh, how I've missed you."

Jade let out a small light laugh then. "I can tell." She kissed his collar then. "I missed you too." She leaned her head back down onto his chest then, her fingers lightly gliding over his arm which made him shiver slightly. "I've missed you too much."

"You're here now and that's all that matters," Peter said. All he wanted was to stay here with her in his arms like how it should have always been. "You're here now."

She buried her head into him then and she then held his hand. Her hair fell in front of her face and Peter wanted nothing more than to reach out and pull the hair from her eyes but found himself almost struck by the realisation that this was actually real. Of course, he knew that it was real, but it was almost unreal to know that after so long she was here on top of him. He'd finally got his girl back and he didn't want to let her go.

He was home.

Regina, Snow, David, Emma, and Camilla—Peter and her decided to swap for now, just so that he could spend some time with their baby—back at Granny's Diner. Emma went to check on Henry, Devin, and Baz to see how they were doing just as a whole. That and the fact that they planned to give him the book which brought Emma to Storybrooke the first time around—that and the fact that they all hoped that the book might help in bringing Henry's memories back.

Between the time that it took Emma to check on the boys, Camilla managed to order chips for herself. She was starving, and she supposed she'd been too preoccupied with everything going on that she realised that she hadn't eaten as a whole. She tried to offer the chips to Regina, Snow, and David, but none of them wanted any, though Regina ended up stealing a few despite her previously saying that she didn't want any.

Emma came walking towards them then with a worried look on her fact. "They're gone."

"What do you mean, gone?" Regina asked, swerving around to look at her.

Emma held her phone in her hand which made Camilla wonder whether or not Emma tried to call Henry. A part of Camilla wanted to argue saying that there was a likelihood that he was safe while with Devin and Baz considering that they were well-trained enough to defend Henry if needed to.

"I mean they're not in the room. He's not in the parlour. and my keys are gone." Emma explained. "My car keys."

Regina—with the book held against her chest—rose to her feet then. "Give me something of his. I'll try a locator spell."

Emma tapped away on her phone. "I'm way ahead of you. I've got GPS on his phone. He's at the docks." Emma then looked towards Camilla then. "Assuming that Henry stuck with Devin and Baz."

Hook decided to bring the three boys to the Docks which made Devin somewhat sad inside. He knew that there was nothing for him to be sad about but the thought of him being here made him remember the home that he was taken from. He remembered the way that the Jolly Roger landed in the water after crossing realms to get here. He remembered as Neverland faded and all Devin wanted was the comfort of the jungle once more. The only difference between then and now was the snow.

Baz was far too distracted by the snow.

"Henry, this is a friend of mine," Hook said, mainly to Henry. "Mr. Smee." Of course, both Devin and Baz knew of Smee, the amount of times that the three ran into each other was almost unsettling.

"Like from Peter Pan?" Henry asked. A part of Devin couldn't help but stare at Henry then, he knew that there was no chance that Henry could remember anything about the life that he did have filled with fairytale stories, but there was a small part of Devin which hoped that he did. For Camilla's sake and for him to have a chance to apologise for everything that he ever done to Henry while on Neverland.

"You remember?" Smee asked.

"I've seen the movie a million times," Henry told with a smile. Oh, god, he forgot that there was a movie based around Peter. Henry made both him and Baz to watch it and honestly Devin never felt more offended by a moving picture-movie than what he did when watching that thing.

"It's quite a common name in the seafaring world," Hook said. "As luck would have it he's making sail to New York and would be happy for the company."

"I am?" Smee asked as he then turned and shared a look with Hook. Of course, that was something that Devin picked up on which made Devin almost snap to attention more so than anything. "I mean, I am."

Henry gave Devin a look then as if to ask whether or not he believed it. Devin shrugged as Henry turned back to look at Smee. "Really? Where is your ship?"

Smee turned around then as if to look for it. "Uh," he then pointed towards a small orange-white boat moored behind him, "there she is."

"You're stealing it, right?" Henry asked when he took notice of the grin and shake of head from Devin.

"You wanna go to New York or not?" Hook asked almost defensively.

Henry looked towards Hook then as if there was a part of him which was trying to figure something out. "Why are you helping me?" He looked towards Devin then as if to ask the same thing to him, but he was cut off by the sound of wings flapping in the sky sounding as if they were getting closer and closer.

"Captain?" Smee uneasily asked.

"Mr. Smee, you two, we need to get the lad to the boat house," Hook said looking off. Of course, Devin and Baz snapped to attention then.

Devin whistled a specific note then which was enough for Baz to run towards two barrels and picked up a snow-covered bow and arrows and slung it over his shoulder. Devin gout out his daggers then—they were formerly Jade's old daggers, but he claimed them as his own when she died.

"Why?" Henry asked, "What's going on?" Henry then looked towards both Devin and Baz with a confused look then. "Wow! You two have weapons?" His voice then got confused and concerned, "You two have weapons?"

In the cloudy sky there was one of Zelena's flying monkeys which circled above them and descended from the sky to attack the group. Devin nodded towards Baz then and it was enough for Baz to then nock an arrow into his bow and aim for the flying monkey.

"Killian, what is that?" Henry asked, the second that he laid eyes on the flying monkey.

"Now!" Hook yelled. It was then that Hook, Smee, and Henry broke into a run and ran towards the boat house. Baz released the arrow, allowing it to fly free though the flying monkey screeched and managed to dodge the oncoming arrow. "Lads! Come on!"

"Baz!" Devin yelled and grabbed hold of his arm, pulling him backwards towards the boat house.

Baz twisted on his heels and then sprinted towards the boat house though not before he then nocked another arrow. Devin was about to call for him, but Baz turned towards the flying monkey trying to strike at the pair of them—Devin hadn't realised just how close the monkey was to them which made Devin panic more so than ever, he didn't want his little brother to die at the and of a flying monkey.

Devin just got through the door and called for Baz to hurry but Baz already shot his arrow as it landed into the flying monkey's chest. It yelled and Devin didn't hesitate to drag Baz into the boat house. Smee shut the door behind them both.

"What now, Captain?" Smee asked. Devin was finding himself rather busy checking Baz for any scratches or cuts caused by the monkey and when there was nothing that he could find, he realised just how big of a weight lifted from his shoulders.

Devin then looked towards Henry who gave them both an impressed yet questionable look as if there were so many questions flowing through his head that he wanted to ask them both. And Devin wanted to answer those questions, but he was more concerned more over whether or not Henry was okay. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if Henry ended up injured badly while both him and Baz were watching him.

Hook looked down the boat house then before turning back to Smee. "Take the boy there. Far exit. Find a new boat. I'll stay here to deal with our winged friends with Mr bow-and-arrow here," he said referring to Baz. Devin tensed up slightly. Hook then turned towards Henry then. "Henry, go with Smee and Devin. Don't stop, no matter what you hear." Okay, okay, so Devin was playing protector while Baz stayed with the one-handed rum-loving shithead of a pirate. Great. Devin put one dagger into Henry's hand and used his now free hand to pull Henry with him.

Henry stopped therefore making Devin stop and watch as another flying monkey started to come towards them through the open section of the boat house. "Henry, come!" Devin snapped, pulling Henry into a walk and then a run. From behind them, Hook's pistol shot twice killing two flying monkeys then. Henry tripped over a coiled rope which made Devin stumble considering how close the pair of them were. Behind them both was another monkey which hissed towards the pair of them.

"Devin!" Baz's small voice yelled. There was a whoosh and then something stuck into the monkey as well as the sound of another shot coming from in front of the two boys that fell. It was then that Emma, Regina, David, and Camilla came into the boat house.

There was one thing which Devin took notice of just as David threw his sword towards another flying monkey was the way that Camilla stood in the stance that he taught her. A smile flickered on his face as he took notice of the bow in her hands aiming for a squawking flying monkey before realising the arrow nocked. The arrow was joined with another—one pierced the chest, and another pierced the back. Both Baz and Camilla dropped their bows to their waist, both smiling at each other from across the boat house.

"I never liked pets." Regina said. Devin noticed Snow then just as Regina summoned a fireball at another monkey sitting above.

There were two more flying monkeys which remained before Regina and Emma could have a chance of killing them both, Camilla killed both rather quick. Devin was impressed—he heard stories of how well Camilla improved with her archery, but he never thought that he would ever see the day that she used those skills.

Emma helped Henry up while Camilla then helped Devin to his feet. "Henry, are you okay?"

Camilla gave Devin a small nod as if that was enough to ask—which it was. She didn't have to ask, he just knew what she meant to say without any words spoken.

"Y—Yeah. What were those things?" Henry asked. Henry then took notice of the way that David sheathed his sword and the way that both Baz and Camilla put their bows over their shoulders. "Why does he have a sword? Why do they have bows?"

"It's all gonna make sense in a minute, I promise," Emma assured. Devin and Camilla went more towards the side to allow Henry and Emma to have a moment alone. Baz came running towards the two then and hugged Camilla then.

Henry gave his mother a confused look then. "What are you talking about?"

Devin took notice of the slight regretful look within Regina's features then. "I'm sorry I was keeping things from you. You were right. You deserve to know the truth." She showed Henry his storybook. Devin never saw it, he'd heard some mention of the book about how it was the start to everything for them all during the original curse.

Henry looked down to the book then before looking back up to his mother. "About fairy tales? I don't understand."

"Do you trust me?" Emma asked.

"Yes," Henry said, "of course, I do."

Emma was somewhat silent just for a brief moment. "Then I need you to believe."

"Believe in what?" Henry asked. Devin couldn't help but look between the two, he knew that it would have taken a lot more than a book to make Henry believe in anything which made Devin wonder a lot about everything then. Surely Henry's belief didn't just stem from a book, right?

"Believe in magic." Emma told.

Henry briefly looked towards Devin then, clearly doubting everything then. "From a book?"

"It's more than just a book," Emma told, almost insisting him to take hold of the book. "Do you believe in me?"

"Yes."

"Then take it." Emma made Henry take the book and for a moment there was nothing, just Henry staring at his mother.in a world of his own. It concerned Devin then just how long this was taking, he wanted to say something, wanted to step forward and ask if Henry was okay but he stayed where he stood and for a moment, Devin thought that he could feel his heart in his throat.

Henry looked at his mother then, snapping out of whatever trance he was in. "Mom?" Emma smiled then. He then looked towards Regina then. "Mom?" Regina smiled and she then took a few steps forward to hug Henry. When they pulled away from the hug, Henry said: "I remember." He looked towards Emma then. "I remember."

"Do it, Emma." Regina insisted. "Break the curse." Emma leaned forward to kiss Henry but just as she did, the one thing that none of them expected was when Henry just disappeared. Devin found himself panicking slightly wondering as to where Henry could have gone to, wondering whether or not something bad happened.

"So, sorry to interrupt," Zelena said. Henry was trapped in her arms, though Zelena made sure that her hold on him was tight enough so that he wouldn't try and escape. "Now, who wants to say good-bye first?"

Henry struggled against her grip, wanting nothing more than to be free. "Who are you?"

"You can call me Auntie Zelena," Zelena responded.

"Enough of this." Regina took a few steps towards Zelena then, however, Zelena rose her hand and threw Regina back. Regina fell back with a grunt and instantly Camilla was at her side to see if she was okay.

Emma stepped in front of both Camilla and Regina as if to protect them both. "Let him go." She threatened. "He had nothing to do with this."

"Don't blame me," Zelena stated as if she was innocent. "The captain failed me."

"Damn you, Zelena." Hook cursed under his breath.

Emma quickly regarded him with a confused look. "Hook, what's she talking about?"

"He knew what the price of that failure was: Your son's life." Zelena explained as she then choked Henry.

Camilla found herself tensing up at that. She knew that she needed to protect Henry, but she didn't know how without the fear of her life being taken from her without the ability of her being brought back—she knew that she was being a little selfish considering that it was her nephew, but she had to think about her own baby.

Henry choked and with a strained voice he called out for his mother. It was enough for Emma to try and concentrate on the use of her magic and it was then that a bright ball of light came popping out of nowhere. The light burned Zelena and loosened her grip over Henry as a whole. Zelena screamed and yelled in pain. The minute that Henry was released, he ran to Emma and hugged her.

"Enjoy this moment together because you don't have many left!" Zelena frustratingly said. "Oh, and Jade, enjoy your short-lived life while you and your baby have it." Camilla tensed as Zelena then disappeared in a cloud of green smokeit was different that Peter's, but it was still something that made her stomach flip.

"Henry, are you okay?" Emma asked.

Henry nodded. "Yeah. Yeah." He then took a place beside Camilla on the floor while leaning over Regina. He gently tried to shake her while Camilla was still frozen from the threat. "Mom!"

She didn't wake up.

Peter couldn't believe what was happening. He'd gone weeks with her dead and then months knowing that she was alive but without the knowing whether or not she was safe, and now he'd spent a week with her being by his side. He sent a message to Regina and the others telling them that he needed some space to breath and a break from everything to just clear his mind—he also wrote an apology to both Baz and Devin for leaving them but promised that he'll be back soon.

All that he wanted was for both him and Jade to spend as much time together as they could. He didn't know how much time he could spend with her until she was found out or when Zelena eventually caught up to her. All he wanted was her and if by missing out on a few plans with Regina and the others, then it was worth it more than anything.

Jade was asleep still on her side wrapped up in the blanket he summoned a while ago and Peter couldn't help but watch just as a whole. Moments like this was what he missed the most, he missed just lying beside her and watching the way that she would sleep, he missed waking up some mornings and seeing her laying beside him, he missed the way that her body would move ever so slightly with each breath. He missed the way that her hair would get in her eyes and the way that she would groan when she woke up and move her hair away. He missed a lot about his Jade more than he realised but now that he had it, the more that he didn't want to let it go.

He always knew that he missed Jade—he missed her when she was taken from him the first time—he always did miss her when there was time between them, but there were just moments when he realised that he was never aware on just how much he really did. He knew that his heart felt warmer every time that she was near, but he never really realised just how icy his heart could get when she wasn't around him.

Though with him realising that, it then made him realise just how his attitude changed as well. Of course, he knew that he got a little meaner, a little like how he was on Neverland, but the only thing that was holding him back from becoming that version of himself was the fact that he had someone like Regina who wanted the same thing as him: the destruction of Zelena.

There was a part of him when he thought about Regina which told him that he needed to be pissed off with Regina for being part of the reason as to why Jade die in the first time. And he was for a short while—after the numbness of her death faded a little—but he came to the realisation that he would need to be pissed off with Devin as well. If he was going to be pissed off at Regina for being the cause of his goals death, then he left to be pissed off at Devin for even manipulating him enough to get him away from the group in the first place.

As much as he tried to be pissed off at those that were involved in her death, he realised that he couldn't. Well, he could be pissed off at the one that actually murdered her, but he knew that Rumple had been dead but now that he was alive Peter thought that there was a chance that he could get back at Rumplestiltskin for killing her in the first place. He thought about all the ways that he could kill rumple, and he really did want him dead, but the more that you thought about it the more they realised that Neal sacrifice would go to waste. And that was something that he couldn't have knowing how much Neal meant to his Lost Girl.

Though he would say, the satisfaction that he felt anytime that he thought about Rumpelstiltskin's death was something that was oddly satisfying to himself. That and the fact that when he thought about Zelena's death, there was that same satisfaction that he felt. He wanted them both dead—though he wanted Rumple to die the most. He knew that there was other things that he could do protect Jade, but he knew that the biggest threat to Jade was her own father and Peter didn't want Rumple to be the reason as to why he loses her once more.

Peter found himself pushing her hair from her face and moving it away. He knew that there was a chance that he would wake her up, but he didn't care. He loved her more than anything and all he ever wanted for Jade was happiness. He suppose his need to care for Jade was the reason that he drove himself to what he was like. He knew that if he went around everything a little differently then there was a chance that he wouldn't have lost Jade to begin with. He knew that there was a lot that he could have done which meant that Jade was safe, but he knew that no matter what life would have found another way to strip her away from him.

Jade groaned and Peter found himself tensing up, a part of him which wondered whether or not he woke her up. Her eyes blinked open but then squinted shut as she groaned. "Hmmm," she moaned, "light bright." She buried her head into the pillow. "Why is the light so bright?"

Peter smiled a genuine smile for the first time in what he knew to be a while. "I would do something about the light, but you look amazing in the light, my love."

She made a noise like she always did which was enough to make Peter's heart to do flips and flutter. "Peter," she whined. She looked at him and there was a smile which spread across her features that were kissed with blushes. "Stop."

He found himself stroking her arm that reached out to touch him. "I don't want to ever stop complementing you. You need to know what I feel about you."

"But, I already know how much you do," Jade whispered.

He knew that she knew but at the same time he could never stop herself when it came to it. He leaned towards her then, placing a kiss on her cheek. "You might, but I like to tell you, so you know for sure just how much I love you."

"I love you too," Jade said after a while.

****

By the time that they got out of bed, it was already late into the afternoon, they couldn't stop once they stated and although they were exhausted after their normal sessions with each other, Peter found himself unable to stop. The amount of energy that he had was almost unnatural for him, but he didn't want to question it, he just passed it off as him being excited over the fact that he had Jade by his side once more.

Even when they went outside into the still vacant village, Jade always made sure to stay by his side, and even when they weren't doing anything, she wrapped her arms around him and placed her head against his chest as if to make sure that he was still alive and was real. He returned the small hug, though he rubbed his thumb into her as if to comfort her more than what she might need. He leaned his head against her head and finally felt like he was at home.

"My Lost Girl," he mumbled, "oh how I've missed you."

He felt the way that she buried her head more into his chest. "I've missed you too, my boy. God, I've missed you more than anything."

He knew that he was smiling but he didn't care, all that was going though his mind was the fact that she missed him. If he could fall more in love with someone than what he was at the moment, then he might as well consider himself never returning from his love for this one person.

"I sent Regina and the others a note saying that I won't be back for a week," Peter said. "We have a week of just us and depending on what we feel like will depend on everything else."

"I don't want to go back," Jade told him, lifting her head to look at him. "I like them all, yes, but I just want it to be us. Like it should have always been, Peter. Just us two against everything."

Peter nodded. "Of course."

Henry was shaking his mother as gently as he could. "Mom!" Camilla knew how much he was panicking, she was too. "Mom, please. Wake up! Mom!" Regina moved then and groaned. "Mom!"

Regina turned to look at her son then, there was a smile clear on her face then. "Henry." She touched his cheek.

"Mom."

Regina rose to her feet then with the help of Camilla before she then hugged Regina. "Henry. Oh, Henry," she said, relief was clear more than anything. She sobbed slightly then before then moving out of the hug and held Henry's face in her hands with a smile. "I will never let you go away again. I promise. I love you, Henry." Regina kissed Henry on the forehead which broke the Dark Curse from all of them, allowing them to remember what happened in the year.

Camilla felt the way that everything within her dropped slightly at knowing what happened in the year. She found herself walking to the side of the boat house to look outside at sea. She felt the way that her head hummed with a sense of wanting to do something that wasn't something that she would normally do to herself—something that she had thought about once or twice when she was at her lowest but wouldn't do now.

She closed her eyes, but her hand moved to the dagger which was in a small sheath at her waist. She tried to fight against it, but she could hear Zelena's voice as if she were here but when she looked around Zelena wasn't around. She could hear the way that Zelena repeated the same phrase. "Take the dagger from your waist and cut your throat." She tried her best to keep her hand down, but her fingers were latched around the hilt of the dagger.

"It wasn't me. It was you," Emma said to Regina. She turned to her parents that just hugged. "Mary Margaret. David, did it work? Do you remember the missing year?"

"Yes, everything." Snow told.

"How did Zelena cast the curse?" Emma asked.

"Do it, Camilla," Zelena's voice taunted. "Cut your throat."

Snow shook her head then. "She didn't, Emma. We did."

Emma looked somewhat shocked at that then. "You cursed yourselves?"

Camilla unsheathed her dagger, her hand shaking. There was a small part of her which thought that there was a chance that she was going to drop her dagger and give away what was going on. She knew that there was a chance that either Devin or Baz might figure something out, but she tried not to think about it.

"Zelena's weakness is light magic." Snow informed. "I mean, it's clear now, more than ever. You're the only one who can defeat her."

"That's why we paid the price for Regina's curse. To find you." David added.

Camilla placed her hand on the railing and tried to fight down on the groan that wanted to come out. She didn't want to die, and she realised that Zelena wanted her out of the picture as soon as possible but she didn't realise just how quick that would have happened. She wanted Peter by her side, she wanted him here to stop her.

"The price of the curse is the heart of the thing you love most." Emma said. She looked confused then. "If one of you cast it, how are you both still here?"

Peter and Jade spent the week that they had together, it was just them living in this abandoned village for as long as they could. It was one of the few times that they had when it was just them and he realised just how much he wanted this. He knew that he always wanted this more than anything but to actually have it was something that he realised that he wanted more of. He loved the quiet times that they spent together, he loved that he didn't have to worry about anyone walking in on them when they were having sex, he loved that they didn't have to do anything all the time.

There was just a lot that he loved that he hadn't realised that he longed for and now that he had it, he didn't want it to stop just as a whole. This was everything to him and he loved it more than anything. What he loved more than anything was the mornings, he loved it when he woke up before her and could just watch her while she slept, he loved it when the sun that crept in would touch her.

There was just a lot that he loved more than anything, so when it reached the middle of the afternoon on their final day together, he felt the way that his chest burned with fury. He thought that there was a chance that she wouldn't have been taken from him once more, but he found that what he wanted and what he got was something that will always curse him.

Zelena managed to find them, and they had no backup more so knowing that Rumplestiltskin was with her even if he were a bit madPeter had no idea what the fuck was going on with Rumplestiltskin, but it seemed like that if mad was turned almost unsettling then it would be him.

Peter tried his best to fight against the pair of them and as much as he knew that there was a chance that he could beat the pair of them, he realised that he didn't have the upper hand as a whole. At one point, Zelena had Jade in her grasp but more importantly, she had her hand in Jade's chest before ripping her heart out once.

That was enough for Peter to stop fighting, he couldn't risk it. No matter how much rage was washing over him, he knew that he couldn't risk the safety of Jade as a whole. And the fact that Peter seemed to stop fighting seemed to satisfy Zelena more than anything and that was something that pissed him off more than anything.

Peter watched as Jade gasped and groaned in pain, he watched as tears built up in her eyes as she looked between Zelena and her father. It was like looking at that vulnerable nineteen-year-old that just arrived on the island, being reminded of all things bad that ever happened to her. He wanted to reach out and touch her, to comfort her like he did when she woke up from nightmares from her past, he didn't want her to relive anything that her father done to her and yet he failed that.

Zelena chuckled at the way that Peter looked at her and the way that Jade's heart beats in her hand. "Well, isn't this everything?" Peter knew that it was sarcasm but there was still a large part of him which wanted to snap Zelena's neck for everything. He wanted to, he thought about it, but he couldn't risk Jade's heart. "The great Peter Pan. Can't even protect the woman that he loves. What is this? The secondno, third time that you've lost her." She laughed more then. "And here I thought that you were going to be a problem."

He glared at her, all he could do was glare at Zelena. He never wanted this to happen, he thought that there was a chance that they could go back to Neverland and never deal with this kind of stuff again, but he supposed that the universe was cursing them out. He knew that there was so much that he wanted to do with Jade, and he hated that he couldn't do it now, he wished that he could have just taken her, at least then they would have been together and that they wouldn't have had to worry about any of this.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Jade," Peter said forcing his anger down. by anytime that you looked at her he found himself more angry at himself and more frustrated at the fact that there was nothing that he could do. he knew that there was a chance he could do something in terms of Rumpelstiltskin, but even then he knew that there was only one way to kill him, and he didn't have that object to do as such.

He watched as Jade closed her eyes and forced a smile on her face. He know how her well enough to know what her real smile was and what a fake one was, and he knew very much that this one was a fake one trying to comfort him. But he don't want the comfort, he just wanted to know that she was safe and while Zelena had her heart, he knew that she wasn't safe at all. Especially considering that she was around her father once more, the very man that killed her in the first place.

He clenched his fists feeling like there was nothing else for him to do. That was a lot that was going through his head that you did want to do but with the safety of his Jade in the middle of all of it, it was something that he couldn't risk just as a whole. He wanted her safe and he reminded himself of all the stuff that he wanted to do with her while she was beside him, he tried to picture it before he said something or done something that might resort into her dying.

"It's okay," Jade said. "Just picture Neverland, my Lost Boy." She closed her eyes then just for a moment as if she expected Zelena to kill her where she stood but when it didn't happen, she opened them once more with a look of confusion.

Zelena let out a laugh then. "Oh, sweetheart, you don't think I'm going to kill you? I have more use of you now than before. Now that I have your heart, you're more under my control."

Peter found every worst nightmare come true with such a simple sentence. Heof courseknew that someone could control another with their heart, but he never thought that someone would use Jade of all people against everyone she cares about. It was something that he never wanted to happen to her. The look of pure fear on her face was something that made everything worse.

Zelena looked towards Peter then just as he was about to go for her and waved her fingers. "See you very soon, fallen king."

Camilla had no idea what was going on around her. She knew that everyone was talking—she knew that Regina and Henry were talking to one another, she knew that Emma and her parents were talking to one another, but she couldn't focus on anything around her. She tried to focus on Devin who was trying to help her, seeing her dazed expression. She tried her best to pass it off as her feeling really lightheaded and sick rather than the fact that she was trying to fight against the fact that she was being made to kill herself.

Devin tried to get her to walk, and she appreciated him a lot more than she did and, Devin managed to do as such. He manged to get her to walk outside of the boat house, telling everyone that she needed to get some air, even though that there was an entire wall missing inside. No one questioned it, even when Devin told Baz to stay inside.

The one thing that Camilla hadn't noticed on their way out was the way that Devin stole the dagger from her hand and put it away. She guessed that Devin knew that there was something else going on that she was refusing to tell him. Of course, Camilla wasn't going to tell him anything, though there was a part of her which was surprised over the fact that Peter hadn't told him anything about the fact that Zelena had her heart.

"Mom," Devin whispered. "What is it? What's wrong?"

She shook her head slightly then and groaned. She found herself trying to find another dagger which she knew that she had on her just to do what Zelena was forcing her to do. "Nothing, just my head."

"Bullshit," Devin insisted. "There's something else going on that you're not telling me. You don't pains, your head rarely hurts you, there's something else going on. Tell me."

She shook her head then. She really didn't want to tell him anything about it, out of fear of what might happen. Camilla had a feeling that there was a chance that Zelena was watching her in hopes to watch as she took her own life, and she wished more than anything that Zelena doesn't change her mind and make her kill Devin.

"Devin," a familiar voice called out with warning, "step back from her." Devin did as such but dropped a dagger.

Between the first glimpse of the dagger to Zelena's compelling voice in her head—and her trying to fight against everything within her to not listen—she found himself going for the dagger. She heard the way that Peter called for her, the way that Regina (who just came out of the boat house with Henry and Robin) snapped at what was going on.

Her fingers wrapped around the hilt of the dagger, and she rose it to her neck. She could feel how cold the blade was and almost shivered at the contact. The minute that she stood up and told everyone to stay back, she realised the look which was clearly written on everyone's face. And by everyone, she meant, Regina, Henry, Robin, Devin, Peter, and their new-born son who was in Devin's arms. Peter and Regina were closest to her with their hands in front of them as if to say that it was okay.

"Jade, put it down." Regina warned.

Camilla felt the way that hot tears ran down her face. She was panicking and she couldn't help but cry. "I can't. Regina, I can't."

It took Regina a minute then and a quick look to Peter as Peter nodded, saying: "Zelena has her heart." He looked down. Of course, he remembered how it happened, it was clear in her mind. He quickly looked back up to her. "Jay, please, just fight a little longer."

She shook her head, the side of the dagger was pressed against her neck hard enough that it was drawing blood. "I'm trying. I've been trying since she left." Her voice broke then. "I don't want to die, Peter. Please, please, please."

Peter looked almost broken, or she thought that he looked broken. He came up towards her and she let him, but only because of Zelena's voice telling her to wait. She didn't want him to come any closet to her, but she felt the way that her feet were stuck in place. Camilla begged that Peter wouldn't come closer, she begged that he wouldn't touch her, but even with all of her begging, he still came towards her.

"It's okay," he whispered. And she wanted to believe that everything was okay, but it wasn't. He grabbed her wrist and the next thing that she knew, just as she was about to go for him, the dagger left her hand in a cloud of smoke. She looked at her empty hand confused, though she was more confused when the compulsion on her stopped, she didn't know what was going on. She wanted everything to make sense but even when it did, it really didn't.

"What?" Camilla mumbled. She then let out a sharp yell, clutching her chest. She was oddly familiar with the feeling, knowing that there was a chance that Zelena was tempting fate and was giving her the feel as if she was about to die. "Get my heart. Please." The pain was getting too much, she couldn't breathe.

One minute she had Peter trying to comfort her with the pain and the next, she passed out. The last thing that ran through her mind was: Save my heart, my love.
